Hamish Linklater is Bishop Lisden
Song: Polarize “feel is denial”
Vialist Maxim: truth only exists in the mind.
Father Lisden heads the Ministry of Truth, which deals with censorship and counter intelligence. While Andre’s ministry deals with security inside Dema, Lisden deals with security outside the city, and ensuring another uprising does not even take root. Lisden has the final say in all forms of content and media, and approves them to be distributed to the rest of Dema. His ministry also conducts random searches of citizen homes.
Citizens of Father Lisden are often described as squirrelly, anxious, and paranoid. They have an equal amount of fear and respect for their Bishop. Lisden does not often issue punishment, as he doesn’t like to get his hands dirty. He usually hands off his unruly citizens to Bishop Sacarver.
Father Lisden does not hold much respect from the other Nine, and he’s constantly trying to prove himself. He is the only Bishop who fears his own brothers and sisters, which is why he does not tell them about Vetomo’s “activities”, out of fear of the younger Bishop.
