"What kind of monster beheads a child?"

Editor's note:☝️🤓 Il cigno di San Corvelo - "the swan of San Corvelo" - was the customary title of the heir to the throne of the kingdom of Litia, before the Revolution.

The term comes from the heraldry of the royal province of San Corvelo, which featured a swan. This province was traditionally granted by the Crown to the heir to the throne upon his or her birth, and over time "il cigno" became synonimous with the inheritor of the King or Queen.

During the Litian Revolution, Giovarengo ordered the execution of anyone who could have, in present or in future, laid any legitimate claim to the throne, as a brutal way to permanently abolish the monarchy. This included (but was not limited to) il cigno and various cousins and relations.

The effort could be said to have been successful, inasmuch as, after he was deposed, none of the remaining nobles had any legitimate claim to the throne. The modern "Kingdom" of Litia has not had a king in generations. It is ruled by a legislative body - the Adunanza - and a Prime Minister, with the various Luminaries serving as quasi-ceremonial heads of state.

As much as Litia has tried to collectively move past the bloodshed of the Revolution and Protectorate period, the legacy of Giovarengo was never fully overcome. The go-to example of this is the fact that the Revolutionary-era decapitation method - la parrucchiera, the hairdresser - is still currently in use for high-profile executions despite the persistent outrage of civil society.

It feels weird but good to be back...

It was actually quite something to get access to my Tumblr again after all those years. At least I got that, I have no idea what happened to my Blogspot! Guess I will have to make a new one whenever I get the chance.

I know it’s been a few years, work took over my life until I crashed in January. Being burn out is far from fun and it took me a few months to get better while working part time.

I have been playing since the original Sims (although I somehow entirely skipped Sims 2, not sure how that happened), and so a week ago I have installed Sims 4 on my new computer. It runs smoothly, but to be fair I do not own much yet and mostly use tuning mods.

I will be fixing my Tumblr and Blogspot in the next few days in between shifts and bouts of game. I also plan on backing up my old mods on Sim File Share, although I have not opened an account. If someone could share an invite code, I would appreciate!

Since I shared this in the library and it actually got quite a few downloads, I might as well share this here too. I am a terrible builder and decorator, but if you like simple and you own Get To Work, then you might like this.

Koku has even helped his girl by upgrading some of the amenities. Mind you he has not reached handiness 10 yet so there is still some work to do.

Customers can watch the baker cook using either the oven or the cupcake machine, although most often they will socialise or even use the computers.

At the back is the staff room, fully equipped for either a quick nap, a cup of tea or coffee, or even to keep track of the online orders. Although she might as well be playing to help with the stress of running the job that coffee addict. It can be hard to get them to stop wandering off from running orders to watch the latest movie.

[I suggest locking the doors to the break room and to the garden if you do not want customers getting in those places.]
