Looking for this week’s LitPill? Well, we’ve got some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that LitPills is on a brief hiatus from creating new prescriptions. But don’t fret! More will be coming soon, starting back up in March.

The good news is that we’re making a transition from Redbubble to producing LitPills in-house! As you can see from the above pic, we’re already well on our way to making this happen.

However, we’ve still got a lot to do, and we’ll keep you updated as we unveil more and more of our master plan that will help LitPills finally take over the world! Or, you know, just provide some author love.

After a brief hiatus from the Indie realm, we’re proud to get back into it with this week’s pill, Ken Brosky! You may already know him from his Grimm Chronicles series--or perhaps you’ve just joined the Brosky party with his newest, The Proving. And if you haven’t read anything from him, you should remedy that soon!

In the meantime, we asked Ken our usual prescription of questions. Learn more about him, then pick up some of his books, and his pill! Enjoy!

1. Now that you’re a pill and someone can dose 100 mg of you, what makes up those milligrams?

50 mg of research, 10 mg of creativity, 15 mg of midwestern farm living, and 25 mg of s’mores-related snacks!

2. What possible side effects can your readers expect from dosing you?

You will develop an acute desire for marshmallows, and you may also get lost in the dark world of internet comics.

3. What’s your current dosage?

Just finished David Mitchell’s Slade House and really enjoyed it! Going to start reading some Patrick Rothfuss.

4. What doses over the years have had lingering side effects on you?

Gillian Flynn’s Dark Places really messed me up. It’s not for the faint of heart!

Today we add a classic thriller writer to the LitPill prescriptions, Patricia Highsmith. Known for Strangers on a Train and The Talented Mr. Ripley, she knew how to craft a taught thriller with plenty of unspoken man-love. Get her sticker, here, today!

This week’s dose is another Indie author, The Great Benjamin Drevlow, also know simply as “The Drevlow.” He has a fantastic short story sequence available to you now, Bend with the Knees and Other Love Advice From My Father.

Tim O’Brien, Thom Jones, Larry Brown, Raymond Carver, Barry Hannah, Charles Bukowski, Flannery O’Connor, Amy Hempel, Tony Hoagland, and of course, my wife, best friend, editor, inspiration, and badassed poet Christina Marie Olson.
