Live for others!

“Rivers don’t drink their own water. Trees don’t eat their own fruit. Flowers don’t smell their own fragrance. Sun don’t shine for itself. It is because all of us are made to serve and love others.” Taking good care others will have a positive domino effect.

I consider this plant as my patient since I bought and put it in a good environment. This plant is called “Rosemary.” I chose this plant because it has many uses or it is beneficial to those who will use it in medicine or as a spice.  Rosemary is easy to grow, evergreen in many climates, and it thrives in containers. It is also a low-maintenance herb for its ability to live pest-free. Your only concern might be powdery mildew, which you can avoid by not over-watering and by providing adequate space and air circulation among its neighboring plants. This plant has an attracting fragrance which made me pick it. Its fragrance help someone who smell it to have a good mood. Isn’t good to have a good mood every morning? 

The last reason why I chose this plant is because my great grandmother always put this on my favorite soup. She always take good care of her rosemary plants and taught us, her great grand children, on how to maintain these plants. My grandmother past away last 2017. Every time that I smell the fragrance of this plant, I remember this person who tenderly lovingly took good care when I was a child.

Today, my plant which I named “Buknoy” was a healthy plant. I placed it in a pot and everyday I clean its container because I believed that it is not enough that it’s just ourselves who is well-maintained, but also those who surround us. I also  water it everyday and put it under the sunlight with enough space to other plants. It has green leaves. I picked up and removed the weeds surrounding Buknoy. 

THIS PLANT IS NOT JUST A HELPFUL PLANT FOR ME BUT ALSO A REMEMBRANCE OF MY LOVED ONE WHO MADE MY FAVORITE SOUP
