Sooo many of us sweep things under the rug when people offend us or speak ill about us; especially if we are believers of Christ. We are quick to say the Bible says to turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:38-48), but the Bible also tells you to go and let them know that they have offended you (Matthew 18:15-17)!!! It is NOT okay to ALLOW people be nasty to you regardless if it’s a family member, friend, boss, etc. Hold them accountable for their ignorance, but forgive them!!! Their nastiness has NOTHING to do with YOU, it’s their own insecurities!! People tend to lash out when they in a bad place in life and instead of fixing their MESS, they inflict the pain on others. The Bible states James 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. We don’t have BAD BEHAVIOR and we don’t have to HARVEST either!
