My birthday is next week, but I’ve basically been celebrating all month. #treatyoself 😆 Here are some new things I’ve ordered recently, but haven’t opened yet. I’m trying to use up current stuff, before opening new products. (Aah, the temptation! 😬) I DID open and use the Aesop hand cream, since I’ve been going through hand creams quickly these days! ___________________ Who has tried @lixirskin? I think that I bought most of their line, but the Vitamin C Paste is especially intriguing...it’s a Vitamin C-based morning rinse off mask. 🤔 I’m guessing it also replaces a morning cleanser? I think this is my only post for February! Maybe I'll get back on track in March? Also, feeling lost knowing that Masque Vivant is out of stock everywhere. I have a tiny bit left, so I'm trying to use it wisely and not like, recklessly. LOL. It's not in this routine, but I had to mention it b/c it's on my mind, along with Coronavirus😫. Here's my PM #skincareroutine for Friday, 02/28/20 - 1️⃣Lixir Electrogel Cleanser, almost done with this. It's a thick lotion and smells divine. The scent reminds me of Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanser- an herbal, sort of earthy scent. I like that this feels really creamy and it's nice to do a little massage with it 2️⃣iS Clinical Cleansing Complex*, this is as good as everyone says. It's a low-foaming gel cleanser that cleans really well, but isn't drying.You also only need a small amount per use, so this bottle will probably last me a while. A #latergram of last night's #skincareroutine, Monday 10/21/19 _ Lixir Electrogel Cleanser- this is a lotiony cream cleanser that can also be used as a moisturizing mask. I like to use it as a first cleanser and I love the comforting herbal scent. I do have to use a washcloth or cotton round to completely remove it, though. Sometimes that extra step feels like too much effort, so I don't reach for this as often as I do my other first cleansers _ Curology The Cleanser- this is only sold in the 3 piece set of Cleanser, Moisturizer and customized treatment for $29.95/month. I keep this in the shower and my husband uses it, too. It's a pretty simple mildly foaming cleanser. Easy to use, no dyes, no fragrance, sulfate free, but it's low joy and I feel like Cerave Foaming Cleanser is foamier and just as good for less effort of buying a set of 3 products. As far as I know, they don't sell this individually. It’s good, but I won't be repurchasing once empty _ Paula's Choice Power Berry Serum (PR sample)- lightly hydrating and a nice antioxidant mix for people who can't tolerate L-AA serums. _ Biologique Recherche Creme Dermopurifiante- I have some acne popping up along my jawline, and this yeast-based cream helps to calm acne spots. It's more of an acne treatment than a moisturizer, IMO, so people with dry skin will probably want to layer more hydrating products into a routine with this. Past me will think I’m crazy when I say that I don’t mind the odor now. _ Le Labo Lip Balm- There are nights when I want the fruitiest, most artificially flavored lip balm, but the rest of the time I want this Le Labo. It's unscented, unflavored and has a base of jojoba oil, olive oil and shea butter. Hilarie here! Last month, Anna Marie reviewed the Electrogel Cleanser by @lixirskin It didn’t work exceptionally well for her, but I wanted to see how it would work on my combo-oily skin. • • Both Anna Marie and others commented that this cleanser leaves a bit of residue. With that in mind, I decided to use strictly in the morning. I’ve been using this (with the exception of 2-3 days) daily for two weeks. I agree that there is a bit of residue after cleansing, but the remainder of my morning #skincareroutine removes it (esp the toner). • • Overall, not sure how “Cleansing” this cleanser is (it feels more like a mask), but my skin seemed fine with it. And, it was gentle and hydrating. I do plan to finish it, but I would likely not purchase this in the future. I’ve been testing @restorsea in the evenings and that’s pretty good so far. As much as I love Biologique Recherche Lait U, I still feel attached to low pH foam cleansers. I like them especially after using a heavier first cleanser, like a balm or cream type. I feel like my oily skin can handle the foam, as long as it's low pH, which this Hyggee is. Also, on very hot and grimy summer days, a foaming cleanser is sweet relief for my oily skin . What's your favorite foaming cleanser? My former favorite was the Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser, but it's been reformulated, so I don't know if I'd still love it. Also my forever fave is the Su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick, which was discontinued. Why must my favorites be changed or discontinued? WHY?
