I want it all! Weekend set up for F1 AND Le Mans 24h
Now that André race is over, I can now post my fav pics from this week/last week:
Ft Jamie, Mathys, Juichi, Carl and Pipo
—Kirby's first of the season, Montreal Canadiens, October 26, 2024
me and the moots watching 24hrs of Le Mans ^
Eduardo Freitas, race director of WEC, had a stellar line in qualifying after one too many drivers had difficulty interpreting an instruction about how to avoid an incident that needed clearing up: “Red flag, red flag. Since driver don’t know the difference between right and left, the best solution is a red flag”. I always feel safer knowing Eduardo’s managing a race.
Here it is... The post you’ve all* been waiting for...
Fisidrosa’s Le Mans 24 List - 2020!
Aka the ones I will be cheering hardest for...
Aka the ones who are screwed!
LMP1:-
#1 Rebellion - Because Bruno. Rebellion have my heart anyway because of the BEST Silverstone memories ever. Add in Bruno and that’s goooooood!
#8 Toyota - Because Kaz Nakajima. If it has to be a Toyota I choose this one.
LMP2:-
(as always P2 is more problematic than P1)
#26 G Drive - #NeverUnsee and also I am built to support #26 - I currently have 26 plastered over my chest!
#32 United Autosports - PUPPY!!!!!!!!! That’s it, that’s all you’re getting as explanation!
#38 Jota - Ant and Antonio Felix Da Costa. Double reasons for this one!
#50 Richard Mille Racing Team - Tatiana and the other ladies. But mostly Tatiana!
GTE Pro:-
#71 AF Corse - if it has to be a ferrari (is what I have written down in my notes!) The better option to the 51 driver wise for sure.
#95 Aston Martin - Dane Train! I will be disowned if I don’t include them basically!
GTE Am:-
(again Problematic!)
#54 AF Corse - “Some Italian Geezer” to quote my notes! The Fisico ferrari! For his special LM24 lid alone they make the list, it is BEAUTIFUL!
#66 JMW - I was overjoyed to see Jan Magnussen joining this squad for the Big One. Long time supported, mostly due to biscuit based banter via twitter with their old social media lady!
#85 Iron Lynx - The other ladies!
#98 Aston Martin - Augusto, who is a close second to the Italian Geezer! With bonus Paul Dalla Lana who is awesome and Canadian and was thrilled when mum got him to sign her Canadian book (it is a very old keepsake that was her dads, it’s made from tree bark - the pages - she asked me what she should do with it and I suggested getting awesome Canadians to sign it!)
If anyone’s interested, the #50 (currently piloted by Beitske Visser) has climbed from 20th to 11th in class.
Radio Le Mans commentary still haven’t mentioned the #50 squad or its progress (outside of reporting positions in the hourly update), despite singing the praises of the LMP2 category for its competitiveness.
