Talking on the internet is such a risk sometimes, and I don’t just mean the obvious “twitter bad people toxic no one has a single brain cell anymore” kinda stuff, I mean I could say something super American and forget that other people might not get it

Like one time I was talking with a German dude and I said “what all needs to be done yet?” Totally normal for me, I picked it up from my dad. (Probably pretty southern though tbf, idk) The guy was quiet for a minute and then said “this sentence doesn’t make sense”. I spent a good couple minutes trying to rework my question.

Just now I said “Off the top of your head” to someone, probably another weird Super American/English phrase. I have no idea if they’ll get it XD
