Also, I think he'd say that it's okay to be scared, even at 30 or 40 or 50. He'd say some things, if they're important enough, we should do it anyway. He'd say do it scared.

Do you feel like Max's death is a universal canonical event in your fics, something that needs to happen to the characters to grow? I think the only fic Max lives on is LMLT? What do you think he would be like if he had lived? How would he get along with his nephews? How would he see Magnus?

It is, in my opinion, a canon event.

It has a great impact on the Lightwood family - being one of the reasons why Alec comes out, causing the divorce of Robert and Maryse, bringing Simon and Izzy closer and impacting Jace’s mental health etc.

He was alive in LMLT because I hadn’t thought about canon events at that time.

It is therefore possible that Max dies in LMLT too 🥺

So I wasn't having the greatest day yesterday and guess what I decided to do? I scrolled through your works on ao3 looking for something fluffy and found Let's Make Love Together. And. Do you know the feeling you get when you open an old picture album filled with nostalgic moments you sometimes want to go back to? That's how I felt. This Malec fluff was the perfect thing to read in the middle of all the Mavid angst you keep treating us to. Alec and Magnus being chaotic, queer, sixteen year olds? Operation Clace? Asmodeus being....a good parent? (I have to say, that last one I'm still trying to process) It was all *chef's kiss*

P.s.- Have you heard Baarishein by Anuv Jain? It's the perfect song for this fic
