For clarity, I just finished the book "Ella Minnow Pea" by Mark Dunn.

And I absolutely LOVED it!

I've wanted to read this book for ages and last Christmas @obamashair gifted it to me. And by Nollop, it is a literary TREAT! If you love language, go read this FANTASTIC book.

It's a hymn to the English language, an ode to the vocabulary, a homage of creativity and literary skill.

This book, I can't, i just can't.

"Dead dogs tell no tails" and I'll forever cherish six dozen liquor jugs!

I won't spoil you anything, lemme just say this:

(for anyone wondering, the first to sentences were meant to say "Ella Minnow Pea is no more" = I finished it. "I love Ella Minnow Pea" "I need more" and "Go read Ella Minnow Pea"...

I wonder why the nollopians didn't try to use numerals instead of letters in their writings. They only substituted some words like "for" or "to"... Guess modern T9-text hasn't reached them yet... Maybe a part 2? Mr. Dunn? Hmmmm? God, now I wanna write a fanfiction for this book in the style of the book. THAT WOULD BE A CHALLENGE. I wanna try this!!!!")

The story follows various POVs. Garrett Hawke, long presumed dead after sacrificing himself in the Fade to save the Inquisitor, as he fights to survive and find a way back—haunted by memories, guilt, and the ghost of a love he might never see again. Meanwhile, Varric Tethras, the embattled Viscount of Kirkwall, must navigate political intrigue, growing tensions with Starkhaven, and the fallout of a failed prisoner transport that leaves more questions than answers.

It’s a slow-burn, character-driven continuation of the Dragon Age II cast set two years after the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, dealing with grief, religious zealotry, messy loyalties, ghost memories, mage trauma, and that very specific brand of tragedy only Dragon Age can deliver. Think Dragon Age II meets A Song of Ice and Fire—but with more magic burnout and unresolved emotional tension and also my obsession with character introspection. (Also probably not as well written, but we’re here to be silly goofy, not published authors.)
