"That's it, mate! You're world champion, world champion! Well done, mate, I'm so proud!"
In that moment, all Lando could think of is how he's accomplished everything he's ever wanted. How starting right now he can live his life with a little less weight resting on his shoulders.
His second thought, though, was about you. Had you watched the race from home? Did you fall asleep before he crossed the finish line?
You've been awfully tired at eight-months pregnant so he can forgive you if he did. All he wanted now was to hear your voice congratulating him and telling him he'd made you both proud.
"Mum!", he yells happily once he's out the car.
"My Lan! I have good news, son", she says with an eyebrow raise.
"Better than the championship?", he laughed out.
"Oh, I think so! Yn...she gave birth just an hour ago", she says with teary eyes.
At this, he finally finds himself speechless.
He has two emotions fighting to take control of him in that moment. Both guilt and happiness. Guilt from missing such a moment and happiness that the love of his life had delivered their baby.
"She's healthy?", was the first thing Lando thought to say.
Cisca nods and replies with, "The baby's four kilos, Lan! A little gremlin that one is!"
He laughs through tears.
The next four hours are some of the slowest of his life. He can't touch his phone until all celebrations, ceremonies, press, and interviews are over.
Once he's showered, he heads to Monaco with Max and his family on Max's private jet.
Upon arrival, Lando thanks Max and heads towards the local hospital you two had agreed would be your child's birthplace.
"Hello. My wife is here, she just gave birth to our baby. Yn Norris?", he spills out.
"Oh, yes! Room 1, floor 4, sir. Congratulations!", she smiles.
He starts running towards the elevator without a single care for anyone but you. He missed the birth, but he wouldn't miss a single moment from here.
Once he finds your room, he inhales deeply and exhales. The moment he opens this door his life changes forever. But, gosh, was he ready.
"Love?", he quietly calls out before closing the door behind him.
You smile tiredly when you two meet eyes. You're sweaty and look like you've run a marathon or two...but you're the most beautiful woman Lando had ever seen in that moment.
"How are you?", he asks. Stupid question, but it's all he cares about.
"Think I've looked better, but I've never been happier", you respond truthfully.
"Where are they?", he asks. You can tell he'd wanted to ask the second he got inside the room, but wanted to check in with you even more.
"He's right there", you say, signaling towards your son.
He almost glazes over your gender reveal, but catches himself. "He?", he confirms.
"Yes, Lan, he. Looks just like his Daddy, too", you giggle.
Standing over the bassinet, he can confirm that to be true. His son has his nose but your lips. His eyebrows too. He's never seen such a lovely sight before.
"Did you come up with a name?", he asks. You'd both kept a list but agreed that you'd know when you saw him.
"Finnley Oliver Norris. You like?", you ask.
His voice breaks as he gently caresses your little boy's hand, "Finn. Daddy's here."
After a few minutes of Lando standing in stunned silence over Finn, he breaks the quiet. "I'm sorry, Yn. I-I should have been here. I would have given up the championship to have held your hand when he was born."
"No, don't say that. I was the one who told Cisca not to bother your engineer. This is your dream we're talkin' about. You've shed tears for this, babe. Finn and I were okay waiting for you here", you insist.
"I don't deserve you, ya' know that?", he asks.
"You're our champion, Lan. Finn's going to be able to tell all his mates that he was born on the day his daddy won the world championship. That's pretty cool", you chuckle.
"Yeah. S'pose it is", he says into your navel.
You knew he felt guilt over not being there for you but you didn't resent him. You never would.
He's your winner, but best of all he's already shaping up to be a great dad.
synopsis: small influencer yn ln is filming an OOTD when lando norris stumbles into her mid-video. she posts it anyways. when the video goes viral, romance ensues.
WARNINGS: cussing
a/n: that trend where a girl is checking her outfit and her bf stumbles into her and they kiss....yeah, THAT but make it a fanfic!
Max Fewtrell chuckles as he comments on this random micro-influencer's tiktok. He's not one to ever like any woman's content, much less comment on it. You know, with him having his own beautiful girlfriend at home and everything.
But, this particular post was an exception. In this short fifteen second clip, his best mate made an absolute fool of himself. The video starts with a young woman twirling around and showing off her outfit. Mid-video, his best friend walks into the woman and just runs off much to the young woman's bewilderment.
This wasn't just any post, it was comedy gold to him (and apparently to all of Lando's fans as well). The absolute best part was that he was more than 95% sure that the man in question wasn't even aware of the video that had gone viral overnight. It's a good thing Max will make sure he finds out about it.
Of course this type of thing happened to Lando. He had such a knack for getting himself into the most ridiculous of situations.
When Max had told him about the tiktok, he'd worried it was some scandal he had somehow found a way to get himself in. Instead, it was yesterday's mishap with that pretty stranger that had seemingly gone viral under his very nose.
When you recieved a random DM notification on your instagram, you huffed. It wasn't uncommon for you to get DM requests from random men. Too often they were creepy old men (that certainly had a wife at home), but you were suprised to see it was a guy around your age. With a verified checkmark? Huh?
It must've been some scam page with bought followers, you thought as you did some light stalking of his account.
When you went back into the DM, your heart stopped. He had to be fucking around, right?
No way this somewhat attractive (okay, fine, very attractive) guy your age had been the very 'mf' that had ruined your cute outfit of the day post.
Was he the 'Bob' some user had commented about under your post?
You quickly moved to your messages app and ranted to your sister.
As you put your phone down and rubbed your temples, your mind traveled back to yesterday.
You'd planned out your perfect morning. Getting up at your own pace, doing a short morning stretch, getting ready for the day (on call with your sister of course), and hitting up a café where inevitably you would end up taking a few dozen selfies, iced coffee pictures, and eventually film your daily OOTD.
You're by no means a big influencer with a huge following. You're in the fashion niche of social media and had yet to garner much attention. So, by definition, you're more of a micro-influencer.
Yet, you didn't really record tidbits of your life and show the few thousand members of your community the clips in hopes of becoming the next big star.
Truthfully, you did it as creative expression. Your day job wasn't very exciting and your social media presence was your way to escape the harsh realities of being one of many that's living the dream (note the sarcasm) of the university to corporate job pipeline.
As you put your phone on the lamp post in front of you, you got ready to pose and show your followers the cute outfit you'd worn today. It wasn't anything too crazy but you were proud nonetheless.
As you twirled a bit, you suddenly feel a strong body knock you out of balance.
Before you even get to see this stranger's face, he rushes away.
People are so strange, is the only thought your brain could muster as you press replay on your video.
At the same time, Lando was supposed to be focused on what Andrea Stella was talking about. Not that it was anything especially new and exciting. Don't collide this. Be friendly in front of the press that. Same old, same old.
His boredom led to his mind wandering to yesterday morning.
He'd woken up forty-five minutes after he was supposed to be at the MTC for a social media content day. Then, he realized his car had no gas in the tank and he's have to stop at the petrol station before work. And as if the day could not get any worse, his car broke down. His brand new Fiat had already let him down and he'd had to sprint to the MTC on foot.
God, today couldn't get any worse, was the only thought running through Lando's mind as he ran through Woking.
Until it did.
He wasn't watching where he was going and on a rather quiet street, he ran into a woman around his age. He was so surprised by her presence and his subsequent collision with her, that he was at a loss for words. So, he just sprinted on.
"Lando. Lando!", Zak yelled, breaking the driver out of his trance.
"What's got you all worked up, man?", his boss questioned.
"Nothing. Sorry, what were you all saying?", Lando said, moved the conversation away from him.
But, you weren't nothing. You hadn't left his mind since Max sent him that godforsaken tiktok, and he was starting to worry that you never would.
yearner_yn hey siri, how do you apologize to a cute guy for being a massive cunt? 🤗

↳ yoursister you have like TWO thoughts in your head daily what are you collecting???
↳ yearner_yn the block button has never looked so good
↳ yoursister and hitting you over the head has never sounded so fun
lando maybe start by texting this cute guy back?
↳ yearner_yn oh!
Maybe you should have known Lando would see your post. Maybe you shouldn't have been stupid enough to broadcast your problems to the whole internet. Maybe, maybe, maybe.
But, now you knew you had to text him back. Fuck.
Honestly, you'd expected more of a restraining order from the handsome stranger. For him to tell you to stop ranting about him online. Certainly not for him to propose a date. But, you sure as hell weren't opposed to it.
Friday rolls around and you're a bit nervous. He seems kind and normal, but it's the first date you've been on in almost two years.
As you sit at a tiny table outside of the café, you begin to worry. Has he ditched you? Is he no longer interested?
Your anxieties are silenced when you hear the chair scrape across the pavement and see Lando with a bouquet of beautiful white lilies.
Your favorite flower. How had he known?
"Hi. Sorry I'm a...minute late. I stopped at the florist to get you these lilies.", he says.
"How'd you know they're my favorite?", you question with a blush tinting your cheekbones.
"Oh!", he chuckles nervously. "I was looking at your Instagram and saw you got a boquet of these once and seemed to like it. Thought, why not? Make up for the bad first impression I made on you", he jokes.
You know he's just joking but something about him genuinely caring enough to look for your favorite anything warmed your heart. It's been a while since you'd been properly seen. You hoped it wouldn't be the last time.
As you make your orders and your drinks arrive, the conversation flows smoothly. You ask him what he does and he looks surprised. Had you messed up by not knowing or had you asked the wrong question? He reassures you that you've done nothing wrong, just that he's surprised you don't know.
He tells you about his life; racing, jetsetting around the world, the pressure, how chaotic his lifestyle is. All you do is listen. You don't offer opinions or reassurances, just your attention.
Lando hasn't met someone like you in a long time. Someone whose detached from F1. Someone whose caring in a quiet way yet has her own big personality that matches his own.
By the end of the date, you've set up another one for Sunday before he has to leave for Zandvoort on Monday.
And as you press a kiss on his cheek and say your goodbyes, you both walk in seperate directions with smiles on your faces.
⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆⋆⭒˚.⋆By the last week of September, the two of you have become two peas in a pod. When you're not texting, you're calling. Even though he's an ocean away, he's never felt so close to your heart.
The best part is that he'll be back in town for a week. You've planned to spend a few days around London doing all of the touristy shenanigans you'd always found too ridiculous to do as a Londoner.
As you're walking around the Big Ben hand-in-hand with Lando, he suddenly strikes the idea of a lifetime within you.
"Y'know, love, I can't believe this started with me running into you. It's funny to think about, no?"
"It's a proper meet-cute, Lan", you joke back.
Then the idea hits.
"What do you think about recreating the video?", you ask, gazing into his acquamarine eyes.
He laughs for a good minute before he realizes you're serious.
"Really?", he asks.
"It'd be the best hard launch anyone's ever seen. Why not?", you say back.
He could never say no to you. He instead frames your face with his large hands and kisses every centimeter of it. "If it's what my girl wants, it's what she'll get."
And, so the next day you wore the same outfit you wore on that fateful day you two met almost two months ago. You texted Lando to do the same.
The two of you couldn't stop giggling as you set up the phone. You hit record and recreated the video to a tee.
But, Lando had other plans. Instead of just stumbling into you, he circled back and gave you the kiss of a lifetime. When your lips' parted for air, he smiled down at you.
"Not bad for a hard launch?"
"Not at all."

synopsis: the crash left lando without any recollection of the past decade you'd spent together. is there any way you can get your husband back?
<- part one!
WARNINGS: mentions of crash, heavy emotions, slight angst, cuss words, unrealistic memory recovery
requested: yes! original request by @f1queen27 who asked for 'Lando norris x reader imagine. Maybe they are a couple and had a huge fight before a race which causes him to crash.' & @ihtscuddlesbeeetchx3 who asked for ' fluff ending' :)
"Ha ha. Lan, honey, stop joking around", you chuckle into his arms.
"I'm being serious. I don't know who you are. I don't know where I am. What's going on?", he stresses.
Fuck. The doctor had said it was possible he would lose his memory. But, you hadn't even allowed yourself to marinate in that thought with everything that was going on yesterday. Now that it was reality, you wish you had given temporary amnesia a further thought.
"I-I don't know to tell you. I'll call in the Doctor to explain", you say befor waddling away to the waiting room. Frantically, you ask for Dr. Lee. Within ten minutes, Dr. Lee and two nurses are in Lando's room with you.
"Good morning, Mr. Norris. I'm your primary attending doctor and here you have Nurse Maira and Nurse Ben. We weren't expecting you to wake up so soon, but this is a good sign for your recovery. How are you feeling?", he asks your husband.
"Mentally, confused. Phsyically, aching", he answers, honest as ever.
"Those are commonplace symptoms after the crash you experienced yesterday. You were driving at 185 miles per hour and the crash's impact was approximately 50 G's. Frankly, you were incredibly fortunate to sustain such little injuries, Mr. Norris", Dr. Lee further explains.
"What the fuck was I doing driving at 185 miles per hour? Did I crash into someone else?", your husband questions.
And that's when everyone in the room realizes the extent of his memory loss.
He doesn't just not remember his wife. He completely doesn't recall even being a Formula One driver.
You pull Dr. Lee to the side while the nurses run Lando's vitals. Hesitantly, you ask, "I know it's soon to ask, but when will his memory come back? He has to get back in the car next week. A-and we have a toddler at home who needs her dad."
Just thinking about little Ella confused at to why her dad doesn't remember her is enough to make your heart shatter.
"About that..It's best you don't tell the patient anything. Sudden information about his former life might send him into a state of shock and therefore, worsen his already tremendous amounts of progress", Dr. Lee sympathetically explains.
Former life?
Just five days ago, your husband and you were having a marital spat and now the past ten years of your shared life were his former life?
"We understand how difficult this must be, but it's in the patient's best interest. We'll be back in an hour to check on his vitals and run final tests before we release him to you", Dr. Lee says before walking away to check on other patients.
How are you supposed to take care of Lando and Ella without acting like the family you are?
When Lando's told he's being released, he's instantly confused at to why he is being released under your care. Who are you to him?
While you're driving back to your family home in Monaco, you can feel Lando eyeing you to get a feel for who you are. You want to talk, tell him everything. But, you'd rather have your husband back than just talk for a few silly minutes.
As you arrive, you unbuckle your seatbelt which leads to Lando finally registering your little bump. Was that baby his? Was he a father?
Yet, as he walked in to your home he realized he might already be one. There are toys strewn all over the living room and a sippy cup on the kitchen island. There are kiddie drawings stuck on the refrigerator with magnets and little shoes organized neatly by the doorway.
The house looked lived-in, loved. Whoever lived here with you, thought Lando, must be one lucky bastard.
"Uh- you have a kid?", he asks, timidly.
Your heart hurts at the question. You want to yell at him 'We have a kid!!!', but instead you reply, "Yeah. A three-year-old. Her name is Ella." Without realizing it, you're smiling thinking about your baby. She was every bit Lando, but had her own whirlwind personality.
The name sent a ripple of familiarity through Lando's body, but he wasn't sure why. Her name felt like something he was used to saying, but how could that be possible when he didn't even recognize the woman next to him?
"You hungry? I have some leftovers we can eat", you say, pushing him towards the dining room.
"Yeah. I could eat. Thank you", he says.
The two of you eat in silence. It was so unlike any meal you'd ever shared with Lando before. Pre-crash, every meal was spent laughing and talking over each other. Laughter and love were the main themes of your dinners. Now, only uncomfortability and silence sat between the two of you.
Suddenly, the silence between you and your husband felt like it was too much to bear. "Exc-excuse me. I just need a second", you barely get out before you quickly waddle to your bedroom.
Lando hadn't realized how strange it must be for you to sit with someone who you obviously know but has no recollection of you until you jumped out of your seat and ran off. He wanted to run after you and ask you what's wrong, but he wasn't sure it was even his place. What would he even say to someone who he didn't know but knew him so intimately?
Unexpectedly, Lando remembered something. It was you, a few years younger with joy in your eyes and a tremble in your voice telling him he was going to be a father. In this memory, he started crying and you both shared an emotional hug.
Just as quickly as that memory came back to him, he was brought back to reality. This memory confirmed to him that you were his...wife? Girlfriend? Something of the sort. But, it definitely confirmed you were the mother of his child.
The same child that came barreling towards him with his mother in tow. "Dada!", the toddler yelled at him. He knew he was her dad but hearing it be said aloud still shocked him.
"Hey, darling", he said into her back as they hugged. His mother looked at him with concern in her eyes but kept quiet.
When you walked into the living room, you saw a sight that was once normal to you but now brought tears to your eyes. Lando hugging Ella. You'd thought he might have been more reserved with her but it was as if nothing changed.
"Dada! Dada, race?", your toddler asked Lando.
"Not good, baby. But I'm here now, so I'm happy", he said.
Cisca walked up to you and instantly pulled you into the hallway. She hugged you and checked you were alright. "Yn, honey. How are you?"
The fact that her first instinct when talking to you was to ask about how you were doing and not anything else almost made you melt into a puddle. You didn't deserve such a woman as your mother-in-law, but in moments like these you knew you needed her.
"I'm...getting there. Lando, though, doesn't remember me-", your words were interrupted by a gasp coming from Cisca.
"Does he remember Ella?", she asks you.
"No. The doctor told me not to tell him anything either. It's best his memories come back to him naturally", you quietly answer.
Cisca leads you back to where Lando is playing with Ella on the living room couch. He might not remember Ella, but he definitely did remember how to make her happy. He was joking around with her, tickling her, and playing dolls with El.
"Do you want me to take Ella back with me, dear? Adam and I would be more than happy to have her with us", she reassured you as she put her shoes back on to leave.
You were almost about to agree to let El go back for the week until you looked back at Ella and Lando. She was on his chest, playing with his chain. She was babbling about something nobody understood, but pretended to in order to make her happy. Lando was looking at her like she hung the moon.
In that moment, you decided that even though things weren't easy right now it didn't give you an excuse of pushing away your daughter. She need you just as much as you needed Lando. You three would survive this together.
Lando awoke to a cold bed. Last night, you'd decided to leave him alone in the main bedroom while you took up camp in the guest bedroom. So, he fell asleep alone and woke up even lonelier. He got the sensation that he wasn't used to waking up alone without a warm body beside his.
When he went out into the living room, his whole body melted from the sight in front of him.
You were standing at the stove, scrambling eggs with Ella perched on your hip. She was giggling about something while you whispered to her to keep her voice down.
If this was his reality every day, he was one lucky man.
He walked up behind you and said, "Good morning, Yn. Morning, El!"
Ella immediately tossed around in your arms to be let down and ran up to Lando's legs. He immediately picked her up and she hugged him like he was going to disappear and she had to savor his presence before there was none left.
Looking into your eyes and holding onto Ella brought back everything. All of the good, the great, and the ugly. His crash flashed before his eyes. Being at his daughter's birth, holding your hand through it all. Getting married to you. Worst of all, the argument you two had before he'd left to race.
Once you'd served Ella her breakfast and set her down to eat, Lando pulled you to the side. "Yn...I-I remember everything."
"You're kidding."
"Lando, please don't joke like that", she said in disbelief.
"I'm not. Honey, please, I remember everything. Us. Ella. The crash...our argument."
When he mentioned the argument you knew he was telling the truth. You hadn't told a single soul of what went down between you and Lando before his crash. It was just between you and him.
"I-I. This is a lot, Lan. Let's just eat first and then we'll set Ella down for a nap so we can talk", you say.
An hour later, Ella's napping and you and Lando are face-to-face on your bed.
"I-"
"I-"
You both begin at the same time. You stay quiet and let him take the lead.
"I'm sorry, Yn. You were right. I love racing, but I'm thirty now. My mind should be focused on you and El and the baby, not on starting positions and overtakes. It's not fair of me to expect you to wait around until I'm ready to put down the helmet. You've given up so much for us and it's my time to do the same. I'm going to turn down the contract renewal I've been offered", Lando spilled out.
You were shocked. You weren't expecting this from Lando at all.
"Lan, I'm sorry too. Racing is your passion and asking you to turn away from it was selfish. I guess, the truth is, I've been feeling insecure. Some days with El are hard and doing it alone makes it so much harder. Sometimes, I've wondered if you only have a wedding band on your finger and a family at home to fulfill some sort of societal expectation the world has set for you-", you begin.
"Yn. No. You're my wife because I love you and you make my life complete. Not because of any other reason. I'm sorry I haven't made that clear before today but from now on I will", he interrupts.
As a tear falls down your face, you continue, "And, please, don't retire just because we argued about it. I don't want you to end up resenting me and our relationship goes downhill just because I was selfish."
"Yn, I still have three years left on the contract. That's enough for me. I have wins under my belt. I've seen different champions and eras come by. I'm satisfied with my racing career. What I'm not satisfied with is how I've treated my wife and my family. You haven't been my priority even though you deserve that and more. Once my contract is over, I'm walking away happily. I have you three. I don't need anything else", he finishes.
Hearing that, you finally let out a sigh of release. Hearing you, Lando chuckles. He reaches over to you and timidly holds your hand. A sudden wave of boldness comes over you that allows you to cuddle into his side.
You and Lando fall asleep side-by-side. Lando's grip on your hand is so strong you can feel your fingers losing sensation. But, you'd take losing sensation in your fingers for a minute or two over losing Lando any day of the week.
Funnily enough, the same crash that was caused by your divided opinions led to you two coming together like never before.

"You made him up to be someone he never was. You gave him all the grace in the world when he never once will do the same for you" were the last words uttered by your best friend before you ran out of her apartment.
Your emotions had boiled over.
You were pissed. Embarassed. Ashamed, even.
Because you knew she was right. When was she not?
Lando never really wanted you. You were just his little plaything that could never set up enough boundaries to protect her heart.
He...was special. You swore to Lauren he was.
He was attractive and funny and oh so good in bed. And into you? It was like a dream come true.
Except you have to wake up from dreams and come back to the real world some time.
Your wake up call wasn't Lauren, not really anyways. It was the magazine interview that was just released about him and another girl. His girl, according to him.
He'd never called you that before. Not once.
You'd seen her around. How could you not? She was at the paddock a few times you'd visited. She was around during F1 yacht parties. No matter where you went, she found a way to be around. To be...irreplaceable.
You should have known they were something more. Not exclusive, obviously. Just more than what you and Lando were.
You'd told yourself that you were unlabeled and that it's not like you'd stopped seeing other guys. Until you did a few months ago. Until you started following Lando across the world because he asked you if you wanted to come to more races. Until...you fell in love with someone who'd never love you back.
His friends warned you. Your friends begged you to leave before it was too late.
Yet, nobody understood that the first 'hello' was already too late for you and your fragile heart.
As you angrily washed off your makeup and found new ways to blame yourself for this onslaught of emotions, you came to a conclusion.
This was the end.
There's no way in hell you're letting yourself get any more hurt.
Is he worth it?
Is anybody worth this hurt and ache?
Today marks the last day Lando Norris will ever hurt your heart.

A week later, you cried over him again.
This time, though, you weren't alone.
You were in Lauren's arms. She was smoothing over your hair and holding you close. She was there. Something he would never be.
You had found out today that he had made his relationship with her Instagram official.
It's fucking stupid how much it hurts you. It's silly and ridiculous. You feel like a highschooler sad that her streak was abruptly ended by her longtime crush. Worst of all, you feel small.
It hadn't hit you until today that you didn't mean jackshit to him. You were nothing but a body. You'd never compare to her. You would never be enough for him.
How could you even blame him?
You want to be angry. You want to yell and cause a ruckus.
But, it was doomed from the start.
Your heart was too fragile for the man hellbent on treating it like a punching dummy.
