Here's a lockblade that was commissioned as a Father's Day gift for one of my father's old Navy buddies. He's a Texas Tech fan, so I incorporated a red and black stripe to kinda-sorta mimic their logo.⁣ ⁣ The main wood in the handle is cherry. The broad red and black stripes are padauk and Macassar ebony, respectively. The thin white and black stripes are Baltic birch and African blackwood, respectively. The scales are bonded with two-part epoxy, and pinned, and the whole piece is sanded to 2000-grit, sealed with CA, and then buffed with beeswax.⁣ ⁣ I'm extremely pleased with how this one came out, and had a lot of fun doing it.
