The Miksch House at @oldsaleminc in Winston-Salem, #NorthCarolina. The Miksch House was built in 1771 by Johann Matthaeus Miksch and was the home for he and his wife, Maria Christina Henrietta Petermann. It is a log home covered by clapboards. The couple was granted permission by the Moravian Church to open a small shop in their house that sold candles, tobacco, and other products. It was expanded in 1786. #nc #nchistory #SpreadTheHistory #historygirl #history #travelblog #travelblogger #blogger #blog #history #ushistory #history #americanhistory #explorenc #explore #architecture #archi_ologie #winstonsalemnc #oldsalem #museum #loghouse #oldhouselove #mikschhouse (at Old Salem Museums & Gardens) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGGrDhRj5R2/?igshid=1cc3byaqr3pgn
