Competitors Logos
As part of my research I explored some of my client’s main competitors; carpenters serving the South County Dublin area. Above are three of the more prominent carpenters and their logos. Even though these are all carpenters servicing similar areas, they are not offering the same model as my client.
On seeing the Dublin Carpentry & Construction logo, I was concerned a Wicklow theme could be off-putting for clients based in Dublin, however my client was not worried about this, with most of his clients coming from word-of-mouth.
coming up for logos and such for my chocolate brand what a mess, wanted to stay with duller colours because I wanted the background to stand out.
I tried making a splatter for a background for the logo but I didn’t think it really worked so I scrapped that idea and worked on creating the main little logo fo a while. The little logo is W A M basically wam which was funny. since I made all the letters the same colour originally it clashed to much so I tried different shades of gray but then some were to dark/light compared to the other two. I changed the m to a darkish light gray and it worked well.
for the brand name logo I wanted the words to reflect the small logo and I enjoyed it, although I originally had all the letters as black and that didn’t really work so I made them the same colours as the small logo so that they were similar and had a connection.

The process of logo creation for a project rebranding the Shaker Seed Company. Exploratory sketching, tighter sketching and narrowing down to three ideas. The last idea completes the process as I finalize the details of the logo.
The Concept: The original company innovated the sale of seeds in packets and sold them to a then unreached rural market. Today’s untapped agricultural market is urban and so I revived the company as a co-op that provides seeds and garden supplies designed for the small spaces of city dwelling and promoting a healthy, self-sufficient lifestyle. I also renamed the company Shaker Urban Garden.
