What is the ship name for Twilight x Franky / Loid x Franky?
Y'all, what is the ship name for Twilight or Loid Forger x Franky Franklin??? Twinky? Twanky? Twilin? Twifrank? Loidy? Loidlin? Forgelin? Frankloid? None of these sound very good tbh 😭 Someone help a girl out!!!
Expanding my Hemlock x Yuri agenda (spoilers for those who have not caught up with the sxf manga)
Alright so Hemlock leaves the mission with the goal to re-enter society and be more social; to get stronger of course and not because he genuinely misses some form of human interaction, that’s for weaklings. (I hc Hemlock as being either anti social before his seclusion or having social anxiety. Because secluding yourself from everyone is not an easy decision to make without some uncomfortableness with social interaction.)
Apparently not talking to anyone for months can really make you suspicious when you try to be social again. People start tipping to SSS that there’s this really weird guy attending social circles who doesn’t say much and looks really suspicious; a possible danger to the nation. (Another hc that during isolation Hemlock picked up some random skills since he can’t train 24/7 and he just randomly joins some rich old ladies crochet club and disturbs the peace with his presence.) They send Yuri and one or two others from the SSS to trail Hemlock to see if he’s a spy or potential terrorist.
Hemlock’s training makes him immediately clock that he is being trailed and adjusts accordingly. He continues his routine of going to his fake work (I don’t know what his coverup would be) and to social circles. The SSS conclude that this dude is just awkward and drop the case. Yuri isn’t buying it though—what if Hemlock is a threat and as soon as they let their guard down he tries something? That would put his precious sister and Ostania in danger! He can’t have that.
(I feel like Hemlock knows that Yor has a brother but doesn’t know his name or anything like that. He just refers to him as ‘your brother’ during his scuffle with Yor. I’m chalking this up to him not really knowing Yuri to make it easier on me.)
So Yuri makes it a personal project to keep an eye on Hemlock. Donning his civilian wear he goes in with the goal of trying to be friends with Hemlock so that he can be 100% certain that he isn’t a threat or working with Twilight. However, Hemlock comes off as rude due to his socialization skills and this leads to many verbal arguments between the two.
At this point Hemlock is annoyed at the guy that keeps coming to his social circles to argue with him, and Yuri is annoyed that Hemlock is the most insufferable person (second place to Loidy) that he has ever met. But Yuri keeps coming to these gatherings even though he has confirmed that Hemlock isn’t a threat (the old rich ladies are pissed at both of them).
They inevitably become reluctant friends (if you ask either of them they will insist that their relationship is purely that of acquaintances), and sometimes hang out after their done with work.
I’ll end it here since this is very long. Do I think Yuri and Hemlock will interact in canon? Not really, at best they’ll probably get like two panels together. Will my headcanons about Hemlock’s personality get disproven? Yes :( but he’s still cringe and loser to me. This post is begging the fandom to consider the potential of Yuri x Hemlock
Loid's equally stupid and hilarious facial expressions from the latest episode.
Imagine if you will the drama of Yor and Twilight revealing their true selves. The shock and confusion they would have. The danger that they would be in from their enemies. The trust it would represent from them both. It’s a moment in the manga/show that is predicted from the moment you hear the premise.
Whether intentional or on accident it’s the peak of the plot. But imagine again, if you will, the possibility of either of them never finding out about each others other life. That fate conspires that operation Strix goes on for much longer or that they both separately choose to give up their lives as a spy and an assassin for their family.
The show started with the observation that people have hidden selves, things that they hide from everyone they known and trust. It isn’t a bad thing it’s just a fact that very few people are open books like that. What better way to show this then leaving their pasts behind and loving each other for who they’ve shown themselves to be.
If Loid let’s go of his mission and Yor her assassin-ing. Then all the instrumental reasons for their relationship fade away. Anya is no longer a tool Loid worries about needing to discard. She is his daughter. They can both engage with each other as people. Yor sees her abilities as a wife as important because they ,in her mind, keep Loid satisfied with their paper marriage and allow her to keep assassinating people.
If that fake marriage becomes real she can see past the need to improve herself to maintain a lie and improve and grow for her own sake and as a expression of love for her family.
Now I don’t think that the show will go this way. Partly because neither Twilight nor Yor seem that put off by their jobs and partly because Loid is fundamentally a character twilight is playing, this is reinforced by the show, and I’m not sure how much of Loid and twilight overlap. I’m definitely unsure of what they would do with Anya knowing.
The idea though that both of them choose wordlessly to each other to drop the facade neither even knew was there and face each other as people is incredible to me. That nothing forces their hand and what is important is not what they hid from each other, but how they love being who they are together now. That their past is incidental to the odd family they’ve become.
Also them “renewing” their vows to each other as a scene. Incredible.
He's here.... 👀
