Hey everyone.
Bet you didn’t follow me to hear me talk about Loki, but here we are. It’s time to hear how I feel. Spoilers beneath the cut, as always.
I've been reading fics with Loki in them because I love him. And I notice something every single one I've read does. They blame Loki for the bomb that was sent to destroy NYC when he attacked. Yeah it's kinda his fault, but now we also know that he was being controlled and tortured by Thanos. So, like can we stop with that? Thanks.
LOKI SERIES SPOILERS
NOTE:
Hey, y'all! Just so you know, I actively ship Lokius, but I am in no way going to put down Sylkie or those who ship it! Not that I am going to, really, post anything about it, either. I'll just remain respectfully neutral on the subject.
And let's face it, the Multiverse is so vast that EVERY ship is canon somewhere! Even all those ships that nobody thought could ever, ever happen! So I suggest that when we post about ships from now, we add the suffix -verse to the end. Lokius-verse... Sylkie-verse... Frostiron-verse... Winterwidow-verse... Stony-verse... they all exist somewhere!
But you gotta admit, Loki really did take that whole “To love others you must first love yourself” quote to heart, didn't he!
I just wanted to put some positive thoughts about the Loki series out there so I'm going to sprinkle some good Loki thoughts.
I personally love the series and I'm excited for season 2. Some things I enjoyed about the series (no order):
The wonderful cinematography in each episode. I mean it was on par with the movies and in some cases more visually appealing. For example, Lamentis is so beautiful in every scene.
Loki series in general and so much more Loki content. He didn't get his own movie, he got six episodes and an upcoming S2. I couldn't be more ecstatic at the amount of Loki content I'm getting.
Tom Hiddleston's amazing acting. His facial expressions are so wonderful, bringing so much depth and character to Loki. Everyday I think how wonderful is that he plays Loki. He puts more than 💯 effort into Loki. I'm just in awe.
The humor sprinkled in some of the episodes, like President Loki and Croki in episode 5.
The amount of Easter eggs and nods to the comics in episode 5.
Loki learning to love, accept and believe in himself.
Loki learning how to make friends.
Loki's facial expressions that say more than any words.
The kintsugi on the palace walls in episode 6 being a wonderful analogy for Loki's healing.
More Loki magic use than I've seen before.
Loki keeping that pillar/wall from falling on them.
Hair flips.
I know you all saw President Loki.
Loki has a comfort blanket.
"Love is a dagger". It is such a good anology for love.
I got to see Loki kiss someone. I know it probably isn't his first kiss but it's his first kiss that they have ever shown us. It gives me so many feels. It was so tender.
Showing that Loki is Genderfluid and Bi/Pansexual. It meant so much to me as I am both. Even if it is only shown in a small manner, I'm still grateful it was shown at all. I understand these things take time, gradual process and baby steps.
Showing that two Bisexual/Pansexual who present as opposite genders can be still a queer relationship.
Croki
Loki opening up more and showing his true emotions instead of hiding behind a facade.
TVA being similar to a symbolism for meaning to life and choices we make.
No one is truly good and no one is truly evil.
The idea of free will being more important.
The idea that you might not like something, it might hurt you even, but there is reasoning behind it and possiblity for something worse. Basically, choosing the lesser evil ideology.
Fight scenes.
Loki's character growth from Episode 1 to Episode 6.
The chaos of the trailers for the episodes not being exactly what was in the episodes. I find it humorous because of Loki and chaos in general. It was like they were playing into that.
Loki being done with himself in episode 5. I think after getting to see himself in another way, he was able to see some of the destructive things he did.
Everything I write for fanfiction is now part of a multiverse. I already saw it this way, I just like the idea a lot.
Time travel and multiverse theories. I enjoy this, it pleases my love of science.
Loki getting excited about explaining a thought that he believes to be true. Rip Mobius's salad.
Mobius being basically a stand in for Loki fans. Seeing Loki as he is and loving him anyways.
Using fan theories about why Loki didn't actually die in Infinity Wars to explain Classic Loki's story.
Loki sleeping. He looks so adorable.
Loki singing. Listening to him sing gives me life.
Very full (drunk) Loki. I would 💯 go drinking with Loki.
Loki in a suit.
Green magic.
I'm sure I missed some things. What did you all enjoy about the series? Did I miss anything you enjoyed?
