“Pennie” is a documentary portrait of Pennie Key, a 29yo art student from Athens living in London and working in the sex industry.

The film follows Pennie through her daily life for a period of one year and is structured in a way that every scene reveals a new facet of the character. In doing that, the film challenges preconceived notions and ideas regarding femininity, sexuality and sex work. Pennie is queerness in its essence. She is able to fluidly move through gender roles, stereotypes and sexuality in the most natural way, even when being part of an industry that moves strongly in the opposite direction. Working with Banderas Productions

It’s always a pleasure to work with Banderas for her passion and utterly desire to break moulds and shake some spirits. It’s a bit difficult sometimes due to logistics and budget constrains but we always seems to make it in the end.

X-mas short film madness

It’s been a very enriching (and some times stressing!) experience, both years with its different challenges. I believe it’s important to offer interesting free events, especially in cities like Oporto, where the cultural offer (and budget) is limited. I also think is good to give the opportunity to local people to show their work along with international artists, to stimulate communication and enrichment between different cultures and backgrounds.
