Finally gathered the courage to come forward about something that bothers me. For context, I have joined a couple self-ship servers that are meant to help timid people make friends within their fandom and receive support on their selfship or simply to meet new people. Among the many types of people I have come across, one stands out to me: the person who rarely reacts to others' selfship yet expects everyone to engage with them.

Now, I'm aware that more times than not people don't realize they're being inconsiderate. I genuenly believe some don't understand social cues and have no ill intent! I don't have a problem with those people. The ones I do have a problem with are those who try and act like the victim because "people don't react to my stuff in the same way they do others". I actually experienced someone guilt-tripping a wholeass server for not giving them attention 24/7 when they didn't even bother with others and turned conversations around so that their OC would have the spotlight. What I'm trying to get at is that if you feel like people don't react to your selfship/OC as much as you'd like, stop for a second and ask yourself if YOU are reciprocating that energy you want to receive. And I don't mean saying stuff like "Oh, that's nice". No, I mean actually engaging, having conversations with someone about their selfship/OC.

You don't have to be answering 24/7, you don't have to write elaborate pragraphs, you just have to appreciate others' work. Some days you may write more, others less, or perhaps nothing at all! And that's okay! What matters is that you try! I know this method works because I have made wonderful friends this way. We're able to have conversations about each others' selfship and hype each other up. Sometimes we talk exclusively about their selfship, others about mine, and many others about both!

Now, if you do this and they still ignore you, you should probably look for actual friends. Sometimes people are inconsiderate. You just gotta find the right crowd. Never let others kill your kindness <3

CONFESSION:

I don't get the "hate" for Liara. I REALLY don't. So what if the dev had a bit of a soft spot for her? Same could be said for Leliana from DA yet I've haven't seen any hate for her. The whole notions these people that are so edgey with Liara truly make me laugh. 'She's forced to be Shepard's canon lover' 'I don't like her because of such and such'

Firstly: You can JUST be friends with her and have NO ISSUE with her being sad or what not. Secondly: She's not gonna be a canon romance at all, so get over yourselves.

While YES, I will admit and agree that in ME3 she was WAY over used in topic and conversations, though it was more so likely to make up for her abscence in ME2 (similar to Leliana and DA2-DAI, shocking I know), at the same time she played a key role in the game. Was she wrong about things, sure but who else would have filled that role of info broker?

It's almost as if all this hate for her truly comes for the fact that these people didn't get their version of Liara they expected. As if she was supposed to be meek and innocent and not grow up essentially. Or just hate her for no real reason or minor little thing. So when I look at theses confessions about Liara and crying foul about something I just shake my head and laugh at the absurdity of people.

So finally, after many botched attempts, and 150+ hours over months, I managed to complete my first ever run of DAI, DLC included.

While I would certainly give the story/lore a 9-9.5 (even though I wasn't a fan of the rinse-repeat 'lets deal with politics, civil war, religion nerds, idiot mages yet AGAIN), I have to say the companions were a huge let down.

Loved Dorian and Varric. Solid bros for me, even though Dorians personal q was out of left field and felt preachy (which I get is a thing for some in rl but was it really needed here). Enjoyed BW, loved his beard and hair. Swoon. Cassandra, even though I did love her, was too 'Maker' happy for my taste, specially as a Dalish. Bull was boring and bland, decent bro though. Solas, complicated naturally. (Support the elves in rebuilding, not so much burning the world though).

Cole was... difficult to understand most of the time, even has human. Sera? Who ever had the bright idea to have someone dismiss Magic and Elven History as 'it's not real' but say 'Andraste and the Maker, total real yeah' should lay off the wine. Barely tolerated her as a friend. And Vive? GOD I HATED HER. All because she wanted power and a better standing of her own position. Sure, she had a softer side to her at times but she really only cared for her own. Claiming all those who wanted to be free from the Chantry were terrorists and claimed war on Thedas. No, they wanted to be free from the abuses and tyranny that the Chantry in it's overzealous fear of not being in control of mages. And the fact that she makes her own 'Circle' in the Tress ending if she isn't divine says so much.

But still, despite my greivences and certain issues here and there with some parts of the story, I still very much enjoyed it.

Confession: For preface I am autistic and I also deal with some mental illnesses and TES has been a special interest of mine for roughly 15 years. I don't have a lot of TES merch but my favorite is a pin of Sheogorath that I keep on my bag with an assortment of other mostly fandom related pins. My friend (who recently got into TES) upset me yesterday because he was chewing me out and saying it's not okay for me to like Sheogorath because "it glorifies mental illness" and that Sheogorath wouldn't like autistic people anyway. And that he's "actually horrible and he isn't all funny and cheese all the time" (he's acting as though I don't already know that, I get upset when people act like that's all he is myself). And he told me that I should hate him because he "perpetuates the stereotype that all mentally ill people are murderous psychopaths" and that "my people" have been killed over people believing that's true in real life. And while I agree with him only in the sense that it is a real and frequent and harmful stereotype, as he isn't autistic himself and doesn't have ANY issue that I have (at least to my knowledge), I don't think it's fair of him to speak for me and tell me I'm not allowed to like one of my favorite characters. I don't know what he is expecting, Sheogorath ISN'T SUPPOSED to be a good guy, he's a Daedric Prince. But he also isn't All bad ALL the time either, and regardless he's a really compelling character. And like, I've ALWAYS loved delving into all of the lore in the series, and it just feels like my friend is treating me like I'm stupid and showing prejudice to me too that I didn't even know he had, and it really hurts me. Anyways, blessings of the madgod to you if you read this whole thing, I'm trying not to let this situation get to me.

"I think seasons two and three are funnier with highlights such as "The Spy Humongous", "wej Duj", and "Mining the Mind's Mines." The only season four episodes I found funny were the Orion wedding and Ferenginar episodes. Everything else felt like unoriginal, boring Rick and Morty humor. A common argument I've seen is that season four develops the characters more than other seasons, but I think that's only because the friendships got switched up. Boimler gets major character development in season three but loses it in the Vexilon episode and needs a pep talk from some woman he only just met, when HE SHOULD BE THE ONE GIVING PEOPLE PEP TALKS! Also, Rutherford is reduced to just Tendi's love interest and Mariner still gets treated like a scapegoat by her mom, who actually APOLOGIZED last season. Now onto the actual finale, I don't actually hate it but it did feel rushed. Nick Locarno was a fun twist villain and I like the Tom Paris joke about him and the Genesis Device plot, but the Sito Jaxa stuff felt really forced and shoe-horned in. Also, how come we see the main characters on the Che'Ta at the end of episode nine but then suddenly we see them on the Cerritos in the beginning of the next episode? What happened to the alliance of different alien captains? I'd have liked to see them (besides Ma'ah) get some payback against their mutineers or at least party with the Cerritos at the end like the other California ships did last season finale. Would've been way better than the boring, less funny rehash of the "Twin Twains" joke or D'Erika going back on her character development. Overall, I would say that season four isn't Star Trek Into Darkness level of bad, but I still think seasons two and three were better developments from season one both character-development and storytelling-wise. Again, this isn't meant to be a hate on anyone who loves season four, but I don't see it as a masterpiece compared to other Trek media."

I'm going to be totally honest here. I like the fact that Riot produced a comic for Darius but... I don't like the narrative of the comic. I think the comic could have been better without a focus on a romantic relationship for Darius. I have never seen him as a person who actually would seek out, or even want a romantic relationship with anyone. The comic made him seem weak. He tried to spare someone who sent an assassin after him, when he seems the kind of person who would never tolerate someone trying to assassinate him.

I personally believe that the comic could have been better served as an exploration between Darius and Draven's relationship, including how Darius kept his brother alive when they were younger and how their relationship evolved over time. But no, instead of exploring a relationship that has been around since 2012, Riot had to introduce a love interest for Darius. Why must romantic relationships be more of a focus than familial relations?

#23 - “You know how rin & len, and meiko & kaito were created to compliment the other in the duo, respectively?   And how people say luka can sound a lot like len and rin sounds freakily similar to pitched-up (sakine) meiko? Well, I think this explains why luka sounds so nice in a duet with meiko or rin, and rin’s voice fits surprisingly well with kaito’s.  It’s because they sound so much like the other’s intended compliment. Luka duets well with rin, since her voice is structured so closely to len’s, who fits with rin.   Similarly, due to how alike Meiko’s voice is to rin’s, Luka also makes a fitting compliment to Meiko’s voice. Seeing how rin’s voice structure is so scarily similar to Meiko’s, this in turn makes her such a weirdly near-perfect complement to Kaito’s voice. (As for the last two match ups of len and meiko, I personally haven’t come across a duet of them yet, but judging by one of the previous confessions, it sounds like they do fairly well when singing together.)”
