Ok so, can we talk about how Buddy Daddies episode 7 made me cry so much?

First of all, Kazuki was very relatable this episode because watching him, I remember my mom doing all the chores in our house- and sometimes I couldn't or just didn't want to help her, and seeing Kazuki go through the same thing kind of made me realize how I often underapprecaited my mom's efforts.

Second of all, I love that we see Rei sort of grow as a person this episode. In the beginning he kind of pissed me off a bit because he didn't really want to help Kazuki with the house or properly taking care of Miri at all, but I understand this might be because he hasn't had the chance to develop emotionally

But then, after Kazuki left, we see Rei trying his best to care for Miri and we see that he genuinely loves this kid- His daughter. He might not know much about housekeeping and general childcare, but Rei has his own strengths. And, as we see in the last minutes of the episode, Rei is trying to do better and help Kazuki with chores and cooking with Miri trying to help as well!

This episode made me cry because even though their family gives us cute, wholesome, and funny vibes every week, they also show the realistic, and serious side of having a family.

Families need teamwork- it isn't up to one person only to do all the work, and I love that!

I love Rei and Kazuki so much this episode because they know now that they can rely on each other and take care of their daughter together.

That they can help each other achieve their best selves and that both of them are very important to Miri. Rei and Kazuki are both Miri's papas- it takes work to be a family, but at the end of the day:

Can we talk about the fact that it was Cassies birthday. can we talk about that

I thought Eclipse was just trying to be nice or something when he wished Cassie happy birthday, but then Roxy mentioned it again and told her happy bday too?

Unless all of them got messed up and thought that it was Cassie's birthday, which I find to be unlikely, then the whole DLC is making me. so damn sad. like actually.

Cassie went out on her birthday to find her friend, fought and escaped multiple traps just to find him. She has to deactivate her favorite animatronic (and probably friend too?) to get going. Only to find out she's been lured by an imposter pretending to be her buddy. And when she accidentally lets that thing out and FINALLY meets her actual friend, he leaves Cassie to die at that sinkhole because he cannot risk being found.

It was literally her birthday. Im so sad she was literally just a girl who liked carrot cake and was friends with Roxy.

Also im not gonna mention her dad because I'll just actually cry. The thought of him still being alive when Cassie goes find Gregory makes my heart hurt

Overly complicated Ashstar Au: Part 1

(Spans over TNP, PO3, TBC. In this I don’t think OOTS would happen since the conflict is changed and AVOS would happen but in a shorter span of time, in like a super edition or short series)

Inspired a lot by @lockandkeyhyena ‘s au! Go check him out he’s making a animatic currently and it looks awesome for his ashstar au. Part 2 here!

Bramble becomes deputy of TC like in canon, he and Squirrel are mates but problems ofc are there bc he doesn’t like Ashfur and he’s her friend. But Squirrel doesn’t trust Hawkfrost and Bramble is being a little pissy boy about it, punishing her a lot. Very toxic already. (For technicality’s sake I’m saying he trained Whitepaw while Ash trained Birchpaw)

While Ash is now dating Hawk he does still have this attachment to Squirrel. And definitely hates seeing how Bramble treats her.

Hawkfrost crafts his plan to test his brother, either he kills Firestar or he betrays him and if he does then Ash is to leap from the bushes behind him and knock him out. What they get planned for was Brambleclaw attacking Hawkfrost. Caught in surprise he couldn’t roll out of the way of the stake going through his chest. Ashfur is horrified and leap out, but he has to act fast so he rescues Firestar who was coming back from receiving his life and told him that Bramble was working with Hawkfrost to kill him and become leader just like Tigerstar did! Fire is shocked but remembers Tigerclaw doing the same to Bluestar so long ago so he denounces Brambleclaw as deputy and makes Ashfur his deputy instead.

Squirrelflight is obviously horrified, she suspected Hawk of being untrustworthy but never her own mate. She breaks up with him and cries to Ash about it, who can’t help but love that he’s the one she turned to. Though ever beat of his heart reminds him of Hawkfrost. He felt this airy love and warmth with him. His hatred to Bramble is solidified even more. Now Brambleclaw is treated as a cat in their clan, not a clanmate but just there. And Ash makes sure to make his life even harder by giving him many unwanted chores, keeping him away from Squilf, and always making him do Dawn and Dusk patrols.

A bit after this and still reeling from the shock of her ex mate trying to kill her father she agrees to go with Leafpool, and immediately takes in the three for her. When she returns she never states who their sire is, some believing it’s most likely Brambleclaw and she just didn’t want to associate him with her kits. But Ash, looking at the small gray spotty tom with soft blue eyes can’t help but wonder what if their his? Immediately he feels unsure but keeps up the act of a uncle figure to them, helping out when Leaf isn’t there since she’s always so cold to him.

Squirrelflight asks her dad to make one of them apprenticed to Ashfur, a gesture by her to show she cares a lot about him helping her raise the kits (tho it’s purely platonic on her end). As such he gets Lionpaw, the overly ambitious, quick to act, and roaringly loud young cat just as his namesake. While he does try to be a good mentor Lionpaw is a handful and he gets real tired of the guy, sometimes being a bit too harsh though he tries to be nice. He does notice the toms fighting skill and learns that battle training is the best way to keep him interested.

Then he overhears it, walking back to drop off his squirrel and take a nap, he hears whispering form the healer den. Curious he gets closer and sneaks forward to hear. Inside Squilf and Leaf are talking in hushed voices about the three. “We should tell them Leaf it’s not right to keep them in the dark! Plus their almost warriors.” He hears in a anxious tone from Squilf though Leaf’s reply was sharper and clearly a no “Squirrel if anyone finds out who really fathered them I’ll lose everything, they’ll hate us don’t you know? Their whole world would break if they knew!”

He jumps back and drops off the squirrel, shaking the bristling down his spine and trying to stay cool. Too emotional he takes a walk instead, going down to the lake to think. Ash knows they aren’t his now. The little hope of a life after feels like it was shattered. All he can feel is the anger bc if he’s not the sire to them, then their Brambles. The cat who killed his mate here at the lake and hurt Squirrel. Sorry excuse of a mate for her at all when they were together. She chose him? Anger fuels him and he wants vengeance. He would make them feel the pain he did at losing everyone around him.

(For note, no Squirrel never “chose” Brambleclaw over him this is deluded thinking that she is his and any relation to him would be cheating. She didn’t and she is completely innocent just trapped in the crosshairs of two horrible nasty guys who like to control her)

He gets a flaming branch, one he found while checking camp after it was struck by lightning and brought it to a bramble bush near camp, where he tossed it to start the fire. He plays up being the deputy by helping everyone out, going in to ‘save’ the remaining cats who he knows are just Squirrel, the three, and Bramble.

There it is. The three trapped, Squirrel having trouble to push the branch to them. He helps but before they reach the other side he pushes it over, hanging them over the fire on this teetering branch, any moment able to catch on fire and crash them into the fiery flames below. Squirrel shrieks “What are you doing?!” And he just scoffs as he hold the branch steady. She can’t push him away or he’ll lose his grip and the branch will fall along with the three shaking cats she called her kits.

He screams his feelings out. He hated them. He hated her. But most of all he hated the blood that ran through them from their monstrous father. He’s about to lift his paw and let them plummet but Squirrel says the truth. They aren’t her kits. They aren’t Bramble’s most definitely. She took them in because their mother couldn’t. She raised them as her own but she wasn’t the one to kit them. The three are shocked, Ash is surprised. But he can’t let them die now. They don’t deserve that. They didn’t lie or share any blood with the cat who murdered his mate. And they just learned their mom wasn’t even their blood mother. He lets them over, Lionpaw saving Squirrel from a branch as they fled that tried to fall on her but they all make it out with few burns.

None of them speak of what happens as he crafts his plan to hurt the one who really deserved it, not some kits who were innocent of it all. He’s at the river, staring at its moonlit reflection. Memories of laying on his mates back as they floated on the waters surface (like otters), the bright eyes his frosty eyes look at him. He’s swirling his paws in the light when paws slam into his back, pushing him into its depths. He can’t breathe. The waters filling his lungs. But he wasn’t weak, pushing up he launches the cat off his back but they quickly bounce back to finish him off. They wrestle, the only discernible feature of his attacker being hostile glowing green eyes. He’s pinned as claws sink into his throat. He’s about to die. But he can’t yet. No matter how much he missed Hawk he couldn’t see him till he fulfilled what they couldn’t.

“I know who your parents are! I know who really kitted you!”

Hadestown Costuming and Anachronism

 It’s time for my love of fashion history to show because we’re talking about Persephone’s dress and how accurate it is to the time-period, and I wanted to clear up a few misconceptions about who and what is anachronistic and why certain costuming decisions might make sense despite not being 100% accurate to the time period that the show is modeled after. I also think that the cast is pretty put together, and that the color language works very nicely :D Info under the cut

Bway Persephone’s dress absolutely skews thirties in the silhouette, see here. Broad shoulders and long skirt+ cinched waist was the look du jour of the thirties. I’m pretty sure they only loosened up the skirt for mobility reasons, because Persephone has to dance in wdht. Fourties are defined by the starched collar, and narrow/square shoulders. (See that her wing-sleeves were not pulled outta nowhere lol).

I’d argue the outfits are not anachronistic, but rather the reminder of socioeconomic status; their outfits tell us more about their characters. Eurydice is probably wearing a nightgown, lbr she probably fished it out of some dump because it’s all she could afford to throw together to keep warm. And if we take the route that it’s not a nightgown, then looking at the silhouette gives me the same impression as a 1920′s flapper dress, though it’s a bit too short (most flapper dresses were about Persephone’s dress length). Esp when coupled with her dark eye makeup and clothing. While the shape of her dress is anachronistic, it could be forgiven because of the fact that Eurydice is probably not able to keep up with trends lmao

Same goes for Orpheus, all of his clothes are hand-me-downs from Hermes, so nothing is gonna look particularly shiny or interesting. Orpheus has a way less distinct silhouette, but he is slightly anachronistic because of his shirt. There’s not really much  to analyze there, but the loose sleeves and trousers give me very 1920′s leftover zoot-suit pants. I decided to include an analysis bc people give Orpheus’ costume unnecessary hate.

The fates have a similar silhouette to Persephone, so while they lack the shoulders, their waists are cinched in and the skirts aren’t particularly wide, except to facilitate dancing. I have some thoughts about the fates being inspired by Cuban santeras, too if you look at their head-wear and the flowiness of their dresses.This is one of the few pics where you see their sleeves properly, but the trim of their waist and the way their skirts flow are pretty time-accurate.

Hermes also gives me 30′s mens suits. Very shiny, ofc, but that was an intentional choice from the designer; to make the gods shiny and sparkly. Hermes and Orpheus even have the same pants shape (Orpheus also has the loose trousers), but I digress. See how his coat is fashionably long, and how he even has the loose legged pants? it’s just the colors and tassles, but those can be forgiven for the sake of showiness.

I think the one who looks the most weirdly anachronistic is Hades. His trousers are much thinner around the calf, but his coat is around the right shape and length. I think the decision to change his silhouette was to A. make him look more modern because of the industrious quality of his character and B. make him look more serious than Hermes, who has a far more expressive/joyful presence. Slight side-note but the cut of his suit is very 1920′s. It might be because of the prosperous 20′s, but Hades’ silhouette could be modeled after a 1920′s Mobster or just a wealthy 20′s man in general.

Last but not least, the workers: The workers are obviously inspired by 1920′s-30′s Appalachian coal miners, which is where the sexy minion outfit comes from. I refuse to look at the act i ensemble looks because you couldve fooled me if youd just told me they were randos from oregon.

\Intense Training Fic/

The stage was set, the actors were ready. Five pokemon stood in front of Nate, while one was standing by his side. The dusty wind started to blow across the rocky plateau, as the tensions were beginning to rise just as the mid-morning sun was. What was about to go down was something that very few trainers would even dare to try, let alone think of. Yet exercises like this one were the bread and butter of Nate’s team-focused exercises. Such a task rewarded ingenuity and autonomy and forced his buddies to think on their feet, and even rewarded teamwork as his partners had to watch each other’s backs. It was these kinds of exercises that prepared Nate’s pokemon for both the dangers on the field as well as the strategies in a multi-battle setting.

Lucario’s eyes shifted down the line to the other four pokemon who would be participating: Espeon, Marowak, Dragonite, and Emboar. Everyone was familiar with this exercise, and the Aura Pokemon knew that they all had different strategies they’d prefer to employ. He smiled, turning toward Nate (who stood besides Blastoise, the facilitator of today’s exercise) as he once again admired the genius of his partner’s idea. There wasn’t a single solution to this strategy, so it could apply to nearly any pokemon... that is, if they could handle the pressure. 

“Alright then! Everyone ready?” The group of five simultaneously called out in various grunts, yells, mews, and even a snort. Meanwhile, Blastoise yelled out in a resounding “BLAAAST!” He was excited to be the one who would be in charge of keeping up the pressure.

“Awesome! Y’all know the drill! Blastoise, Rock Slide!” With the command, Nate swiped his palm outward towards the rest of his pokemon, and suddenly multiple rocks appeared out of thin air, plummeting towards the five pokemon. As if on queue, the five began to move, already prepared for the oncoming attack. The first to move was Espeon, vanishing from the ground below, only to appear on one of the falling rocks from above. The second one to shoot up was Dragonite, who began to dodge and weave between the rocks falling rocks, knowing very well that one wrong move could result massive damage.

The next to move were Lucario and Marowak, both simultaneously jumping up to land on the nearest rock, before bounding away to another one, making sure to to keep themselves on their toes. What was more miraculous what that Lucario was seemingly doing this blind; having his eyes closed while the tendrils attached to his head seemingly defy gravity. Of course, a person who is familiar with the species would understand that this was Aura Vision, a technique that allows them to see the aura around them. Marowak, on the other hand, did not have this skill, but that did not stop him from showing that you did not need special abilities to detect and dodge falling rocks.

Emboar did not have comparable manuverability; their species were hallmarks of strength and durability, not speed. So instead, Emboar waited patiently, rocks falling around him, until the shadow of one suddenly loomed overhead, falling towards him at an increasing speed. The average trainer would become worried at this point, yet Nate knew that Emboar knew this routine far too well. Nate’s trusted starter swiftly raised it’s fist as glowing orange energy coalesced around it. With a resounding crunch, the falling boulder broke into several pieces, as Emboar finished his Power Up Punch.

The routine continued on for several minutes, as the various members of the group jumped, dodged, and weaved through the ongoing shower of boulders. Even Emboar occasionally moved, accommodating for the changing terrain that was a result of Rock Slide. At this rate, the amount of rocks would start piling up; it was as if the pokemon were stuck in the middle of Blastoise’ Tetris game, and Blastoise was doing rather poorly. However, this was all by Nate’s design.

“Let’s kick it up a notch! Attack Free For All!” The trainer’s commands seemed to be drowned out by the sound of the Rock Slide attacks, the cacophony echoing across the hills and valleys in which the plateau was situated in the middle of. However, the pokemon seemed to understand the command fine. 

Espeon took the first move, grabbing a falling rock in mid air behind it with Psychic, and sending it hurling toward Lucario. The aura pokemon responded with a Bone Rush, splitting the rock in half with the bone staff. Meanwhile, Emboar had grabbed another rock and hurled it towards Dragonite, who soon brandished a dragon claw to hit it back with all it’s might. The force of the impact split the boulder in two, one half careening back towards Emboar. The Boar-like pokemon conjured a Superpower and grabbed another boulder, using it to obliterate the projectile as if his arm turned into a giant mace. He then flung the remains over toward Marowak, who reacted just in time to throw a bonemerang at the hurled projectile, shattering it into many pieces as it effortlessly spun through the rock, arcing through the air before hitting and destroying a second rock near Espeon -- who had to jump out of the way to avoid the shrapnel -- and then continued it’s trajectory back towards Marowak, finally leaping to another boulder to catch his beloved weapon.

Meanwhile, Lucario had already made his next move, using two consecutive Bullet Punches to shatter two of the rocks into stony shrapnel, sending them flying towards Emboar and Dragonite before barely dodging a third boulder launched towards him through a creative use of Marowak’s Stone Edge.  The two pokemon had completely different reactions to the surprise attack: Emboar shot out a powerful Fire Blast, effectively blocking the attack with the powerful flame; Dragonite, on the other hand, took to use Superpower, grabbing another boulder to use as a shield for the oncoming blow, which he then used to hurl back towards Lucario. Unfortunately for the Dragon, the boulder happened to collide with another one that Espeon threw, this time directed at Blastoise. With a massive crack, the impact of the two boulders forced both to shatter, sending fragments of rocks everywhere that all of Nate’s pokemon had to avoid.

This seemed to go on for some time, each pokemon honing their skills to be ever alert and vigilant. Even Blastoise had more to do than just create an avalanche of Rock Slides. As soon as five minutes were up for the Attack Free For All, Blastoise began firing off Hydro Pumps, Ice Beams, and even the occasional Hydro Torpedo (Nate’s specially crafted Hydro Pump + Ice Beam combination for Blastoise), always aiming for one of the other pokemon, or defending himself from the occasional boulder hurled at him. In the emergency situation that one boulder did get too close, Blastoise held up Protect, shielding Nate and himself from the impact blow. 

Next was the teamwork section, starting about an hour in, where each pokemon within the downpour took turns hurling boulders at a random pokemon. The other four would then work together in defending and destroying the boulder, all the while still focusing on dodging all of Blastoise’s attacks, including the Rock Slide. This is where everyone began to get creative, as all the other pokemon could combine their moves to more effectively destroy the target.

This kind of training was always intense. The maneuvering around a Rock Slide was always a perilous endeavor, one that required a lot of focus and a bit of luck. The exercise was designed to allow them to take advantage of what was unique to them, whether it was psychic or aura abilities, or taking advantage of how their own bodies could sense subtle changes in their environment. Not only that, but adding in the Attack Free For All would force them to be alert at all times, and be prepared for unexpected attacks from any angle. As for the teamwork portion, the exercise turned into something completely different. It was the ultimate exercise in balancing reactive and proactive action, even for Blastoise, who had to focus on using two or three moves at the same time. 

Despite all the intensity and demand, Nate knew that they all could make it to the end. He trusted them and their capabilities, and had fought alongside many of them for years now. They could handle it because he believed in them and what they could accomplish, and, oh, they could accomplish so much.

With minimal and minor cuts and bruises, the seven of them finally stopped two hours in, tired but overall completely fine. The final boulder crashing down into the rest, the other 5 pokemon all congratulated each other triumphantly for a job well done as they made their way back to Nate. Knowing that they were all tired and hungry, Nate gave everyone a delicious lunch, which they all sat down to enjoy while discussing everything that happened during their training.

It was a good and well deserved break, but all of them knew that they still had much more training to do. After all, there was a big pile of rocks and rubble that they had to get rid of.

also here are my S1 agents! to compare when it comes to limited 5 stars, I got...

S1: 10 limited characters out of 16 holy shit. I got all of them in their first banners except Trigger (who I grabbed in her rerun) and I'm honestly pretty happy about all of them! The only one I consider lowkey a brick is Hugo, but let's be honest here that's the devs fault not his. He's actually pretty fun and he was ridiculously strong when he came out, it's just that the devs wanted to kill off Miyabi so bad it affected him as well sadly. Harumasa of course I got for free, so in a way I technically only pulled for 9, but I'll count him anyway

also when it comes to W-Engines I only got Miyabi's

so that's 10 agents + 1 W-Engine in total!

S2: 9 limited characters out of 18, which could have been 10 but Yuzuha hates me. Again, one of them was free (Zhao) so if we don't count her it's 8, but I'll count her once more. When it comes to S1 characters I don't have regrets because I got everyone I wanted, but I'm not entirely satisfied with my S2 pulling sessions because I kinda wanted to pull for Promeia and Starlight Billy as well 😭 alas it wasn't meant to be

this time around though, I did get more W-Engines! namely Yixuan's, Seed's, Aria's and Ye Shunguang's! so that's 4 of them!

@/kaboom--bitch's Fictionfolk Experiences Ask Game but it's all in one post under the cut. Any questions not answered are ones I don't want to or don't pertain to me (ie the answer is likely "no" and I see no reason to include it).

1. What's your fictional identity (hearttype, kintype, etc)?

Fictionkin - though I am flirting with the concept of hearttype for something else. I also have a hearthome :)

2. If you have multiple, do you have one you're closer to than the others, or is more important to your identity overall?

I'm not sure if this question is about identities or the kintypes so I'll answer both.

Being fictionkin is more important to my identity than the others.

As for kintypes... well, my gut instinct says 🪶, as in I feel closer to that life than any other, not that it's more important to me. It's possible this is due to me knowing 🪶 in this life longer than the others or even my personality and interests here sharing more similarities with 🪶, but who's to say.

3. How many fictional identities do you have?

Three kintypes that I know of - 🪶, 📡, and 🎐

4. What's your favorite part about being fictionfolk?

Analyzing that existence through a metaphysical and cosmological lens. Also, it helps me understand aspects of myself here.

9. What's your favourite thing about the fictionfolk community?

I love how accepting everyone is. I know it hasn't always been like that, and I know there are still some close-minded people in the community itself. That being said, I've personally seen a lot more openness and acceptance than I have anything else.

I don't see this as much, but I also love when people post their creations involving their kintype(s), be it art, sculptures, or poetry. I would love to see more of it.

10. Tell us about a time you've experienced species/identity euphoria as a result of one of your fictional identities.

Really, any time I identify a similarity between my life here and my life there. Being interested in the arts here and as 🪶, sociocultural anthropology and cosmology here and as 📡, martial arts (particularly Hapkido and of course Ninjutsu) here and as 🎐, playing the guitar as all four... It's fascinating to see the similarities and differences between all of my lives.

11. Do you experience any shifts (mental, phantom, dream, etc) of your fictional identity? Share a bit about those and how they feel!

I believe so, if I understand correctly what a shift is in this context. I believe I experience mental shifts most often where my mental aptitude and personality seem to shift to that of one my kintypes. I (as in my existence here) am still fully in control and I don't experience lapses of memory or judgment or severe changes in personality. It's more like my life as one of my kintypes overlaps with my life here.

12-14. regarding canonmates and sourcemates

No, I don't have any canonmates or sourcemates, nor do I have a desire to gain them.

My personal belief is that of parallel lives in a multiverse. I don't see any reason to believe that the people here are the people I know/knew there. It could happen of course, but I have no desire to intentionally seek them out. If we meet, we meet naturally.

15. Do you have a favourite piece of fanart/fanfic/etc that ties into your identity? Share it (with credit)!

I do! Though I don't feel comfortable sharing them with the class lol There is one particular fanartist and another fanauthor who have both created pieces that speak to my identity as 🪶, especially considering that my life as 🪶 would be considered heavily canon divergent here. Seeing their creations have actually helped a lot to accept that.

Other than that, I often don't feel connected to any fanwork involving 📡, especially ones that capture my adult life. I have found many fanworks for 🎐 that are quite lovely though! I haven't found anything that specifically speaks to my life as 🎐, but I love them nonetheless. I did experience a literal multiverse and met other versions of myself as 🎐, so I still consider these fanworks as somewhat related to my identity.

16. Do you have any art/fic/etc specifically made for you as a fictionfolk of your specific identity (made by yourself or someone else)? Share it!

I don't have anything made by someone else, but I am currently in the process of making an art piece myself. I do plan on posting it here and I'll update this post when I do.

17. Does your fictional identity differ from source in any way/is it canon divergent? Explain a bit about that!

As a matter of fact, all three of them do, 🎐 less so compared to the others.

🪶 is a side character here and his function in canon is to help prop up another character (he doesn't even have a canonical backstory) so, as expected, my actual life was very different. Certain things are the same or similar enough (being in a romantic relationship with 🌺, my squad, and some of my interests, to name a few) but there are many things that I've discovered from memories or noemata that either directly differ or weren't explored in this world's source.

📡 is similar in that he wasn't a main character and served a specific "out-of-universe" purpose in the narrative. I believe near the end of the show, they didn't really know what to do with him. So yes, my life was drastically different - possibly the most canon divergent out of all of them.

🎐 is a little interesting because there are multiple canon iterations here and a canonical multiverse in-source to connect them all. My specific kintype is from a specific iteration though, and I only diverge a little. Most of the difference comes from our "backstory" and the events that led to our mutation. Afterwards, it's actually pretty similar to the events in source. I look at this source very fondly for that reason.

18. Are there aspects of your fictional identity that you previously questioned, decided weren't a part of your identity, but you still look fondly upon? (Past 'types, etc).

Possibly? Since my life was canon divergent across the board, I've questioned my actual life events quite a bit. It can be difficult to remember/know what actually happened and I have crossed out potential events while questioning.

19. Do you have any spiritual identities? Explain a bit about that!

All three of them are spiritual and metaphysical. I believe in a multiverse and the concept of parallel lives. I believe that my consciousness or energy (however people choose to explain it) inhabits more than one universe (possibly all of them) and that my active awareness happens to be in this one. What happens to that awareness after death remains to be seen.

26. Have you ever questioned being fictionhearted? If you already are, what started your questioning into that connection?

Yes, I am currently questioning a specific character. They don't feel like me and I don't want them to, but I do feel a very strong connection to them and their life and experience memories and noemata. Maybe I know them in another life, but I don't know if there's a term to describe that.

27. Do you have any fictional hearthomes? What are your favourite things about them?

Yes, Never Land, specifically Pixie Hollow :) Do you know that warm, nostalgic feeling people get about certain things? That's how I feel. I know I lived there at some point in time, but I don't know much else beyond that.

It might sound cliché, but my favorite thing is the blend of nature and personal living. If it harms any part of nature, it's not allowed.

28. Have you ever questioned being a fictionbased archetrope? If you already are, what's your archetropal identity?

If I understand what an archetrope is, then yes, I believe so. Archefairy; fairy being the more modern "basically human with wings and some kind of ability/magic" definition. I was a fairy in multiple lives and still feel connected to it as an identity.

In fact, when I think about having wings, I can feel the heat of them between my shoulder blades (don't worry - I've made sure it's not medical and I can only feel it when I think about them). I believe that would be considered a phantom shift?

29. Have you ever questioned being fictionkin? If you already are, what started your discovery of that connection?

Yes, I questioned it at first. Though I accepted it fairly quickly, as I already held spiritual beliefs about the multiverse at that point.

I had heard about "kinning for fun" from fandom and knew there was a separate group that took it seriously, but I hadn't done any actual research on it. The thing that prompted me to look into it was discovering that a fandom blog I followed was run by a serious fictionkin. Thankfully, things clicked from there and I realized there was a long history of people who felt the same way I felt.

35. Do you have any memories/noemata around your fictional identity? Share some if you'd like!

Yes, for all three of them. As 🪶, I liked to go hiking with 🛡. 🌊 sometimes came along. We would occasionally camp, but the others would, more often than not, come with us if we did.

36. If you do have memories/noemata, what's your favourite?

I'm not sure if I have a favorite, but the first thing I thought of was all the times my brothers hugged me as 🎐, especially the moments where it was more emotional and they sought comfort from me. They would be happy to know that lol

37. Does your identity intersect with your gender in any way? Share a bit about that!

It's interesting. Here, I'm afab. Most of the time, I don't mind this. I'm nonbinary, but I'm okay with describing myself as a woman when talking to others, with others seeing me as a woman, using she/her pronouns, and doing things that are considered more traditionally feminine here.

However, when I experience mental shifts, it's the exact opposite. As 🎐 and 📡 I want to be seen as a man. As 🪶, I come from a planet where everyone has both reproductive organs and the concept of "gender" isn't a thing, but I was almost always seen as a man by people who did have one. When I experience mental shifts as them, I tend to want to be seen the way they're seen, which is masculine.

I considered myself nonbinary long before I discovered fictionkinity, so this isn't a huge issue for me. If anything, being fictionkin has given me a new outlook on why I occasionally want to be seen as a man or having no societal gender at all. It's always coincided with me mentally shifting, though I had no knowledge of what was happening at the time.

40. Is there anything you'd like to share toward fictionfolk who may just be starting to look into the community?

Stop caring about what others think or whether or not you're "valid". Research identities and beliefs all you want and learn to live with what speaks to you. Memento mori. As long as you're not harming yourself, others, or the space around you, genuinely who gives a fuck. Don't convince yourself that you need to be less "weird" for other people. Don't spend your life being miserable because you're too worried about what other people will think. Live and let die.
