Hot take of the day: saying that someone you don't like "peaked in high school" is ageist (why shouldn't teenagers enjoy life?) and it's not punching up like you think it is. I say this as someone who was bullied mercilessly in high school and definitely did not "peak" then.

It makes me think of a classmate I had who was your stereotypical pretty, popular cheerleader. I started seeing her around in the disability office because we were both scheduled for major surgery around the same time.

Both of our surgeries carried the risk of partial paralysis. I didn't end up paralyzed but she did. Every time I saw her after that, she was absolutely miserable because her old friends wanted nothing to do with her now that she used a wheelchair.

Did she "peak at 16" because she was popular then but unhappy for the rest of her life? Why would you say that to someone?

As someone who had the worst high school experience imaginable, when I hear about people who enjoyed their teenage years, I'm happy for them. I don't rush to insult them.

Theres a slight possibility that the lines under Gold's eyes fade over time cause the transformation was so recent, mostly i figured it was like the last thing he keeps like after he told the events and why he looks the way he does now.

I wish i could find the meme but its like post telling the story like a warning to Silver, Gold is like "i'm fully ready for you to abandon me"

Luckily no rejection cause that's not the point of this story, they already hurt enough finding out Gold was almost ded forever from the lost silver events.

Other than the npc house idea from the last post, i had another idea that they also take care of other baby pokemon while there.

They didn't abandon their pokemon on their teams either so they help them out with the random hatchlings occasionally, either Gold had some of these eggs waiting before the events or found abandoned eggs in their surroundings as they travel back and forth from their house to other places they would go as mew.

They would still visit some friends every once in a while, get supplies or even take some battles cause Gold still gets calls on his pokegear for battles. I feel like it take a bit before that happens though cause of Gold needing reassurances from Silver in the begining of the relationship before they leave the safety of their home after everything.
