Sorry for talking about this but I can’t sleep so here's something about Mondatta and Ramattra.
I have a lot of thoughts on Mondatta and Ramattra, and how their (theoretical) relationship became more and more strained over time as the Shambali grew larger in number, and Mondatta became more concerned with things that Ramattra himself couldn’t personally care about… Like sure, they probably don’t have a familial brother bond like Ram is with Zen but. I just like to think in my brain that they very much were extremely close prior to Zen, especially when Mondatta was the one who welcomed Ram to the Shambali and gave him a home and community. And when leaving the Shambali, Ram just couldn’t stand to call him his own brother anymore and only refers to him as his former master. Like he personally disowned him once he left lol.
And it’s just personally heartbreaking for Mondatta because having someone so close to you, that you call your own brother, saying they don’t want you to be connected to them at all just completely shatters your own trust. Especially when you’re a robot, and you don’t understand how families works the way humans do. You’ll never understand that natural closeness, because none of you have never really had a long history of experiencing it. You can only assume what it’s like based on what you've seen them do.
Referring to people as siblings like that takes a lot of trust to even begin with, and having it be broken off after years and years of living with each other is just a whole plethora of emotions to process. Maybe that’s why Mon and Zen settled on good terms before Zen left?
And, maybe Zen was the reason they started arguing in the first place, because he was the only one in the Shambali who agreed with Ram about how to face the omnic conflict, which pushed Ram to even bring it up with Mondatta??? Sure.
I have so many things to tell you, it's crazy I know that despite all the years that have passed by, you're still the first person coming to my mind I want to tell every little thing to, I don't know if I still love you because I no longer want you to love me, I know I'm not enough, I never was and if you were here I'd have thanked you for letting me be a part of your life, for loving me at times, for wanting me sometimes, those are some unforgettable moments from the past, I shall try to forget but they would stay, that's where people lack, they leave but memories don't, you see.
I'm sorry for being a lousy friend, never being present and usually not giving so much importance to the little signs that indicate that you are not well and several other things of this type ... I really would like to be better and I swear that most of the time I try , but sometimes I focus on other things or simply nothing and everything at the same time, and with that, I get lost in the mess that is my head and because of this I also get lost in the mess that my life is and not by cause of some beastly quarrel with some of my father or because I took a bad note on some subject, but because I'm a mess, because I feel a mess, just like my bedroom, my school life and mostly the way I do I feel about other people around me. I even think it's strange that you still talk to me myself, being so distant from a while ago ... And I already "lost" some people that were very important some because of me and others I do not know the reason until today. But the people I really trust I can count on the fingers and you are one of them.
You were one of the few people who ever saw me cry and just for this small detail you can believe that I consider you a very dear person, because normally I do not even allow myself to hear myself cry and I do not know you but I really feel as if a barrier had been thrown between us, and I know that phrase is pretty cliche but let's admit that I am also the stereotype of happy, playful and smiling people who in fact is the opposite of it all. But if I wrote all this, it was to tell you that I had some recent moments in which I wanted to give up but only to think about what would happen to you and other people who are close to me, just to think about the consequences of my withdrawal I re-think on the spot, because YOU are one of the reasons for me to continue so do not lose hope in our friendship and in me we will go through difficult times but probably we will also laugh a lot.
To finish:
This text is dedicated to one of the most important people in my life whom I would not live without: My Best Friend.
NOTE: This was written under the effect of a lot of caffeine, to the sound of several sad songs, and very cold between 03:00 and 06:05 a Saturday morning.
NOTE²:English is not my first language, so sorry for any spelling mistake haha
Okay so another question 😂 How do you draw muscles? Like, I know how to draw woman body but when I want to draw man body like abs or biceps or something like that I can't draw it I dunno how. So do you have any advice? I watched the tutorials but it doesn't help.
If you’re having trouble with muscles, you must understand body proportions first. Like what should the length of a person’s shoulder be? How long are their arms compared to their body? What about their torso and their legs?
Before you start with the muscles, try understanding the BASIC structure of a human body (pic below). By learning this you will understand which muscles are located where and their respective positions in the human body. After you mastered that, you can learn the human skeleton, next attach the muscles to them, then close them with skin. It’s like a structural layer progression. Just remember to take it one at a time. Also, bodies are usually counted in head units. For example this picture below.
Don’t mind the number of feet length, look at the head units on the left. Same applies for women, but they have a slightly different proportional rules.
I was going to add more materials here but I don’t want to overwhelm you in one post. Covering from “Drawing bodies from simple shapes”, “Adding in the skeleton”, then “Applying the muscles”. It’s too much all at once.
I’m not an expert artist, nor am I knowledgeable in this. But I am willing to help or give advice to anyone who needs it. If you need to advance more please PLEASE don’t be shy to chat with me in Tumblr chats (not the messages). That way you can talk with me more freely :)
P.S. Whenever I’m stuck with muscle shapes or body poses, I ALWAYS google for references. Reference, Reference, Reference! It helped me figure out how to draw poses ALL the time!
*I will publish s/t new each Monday! See my other posts*
Taking notes can be a legit pain in the ass. Especially when you’re a humanities student or when your studies requires you to read tons and tons of academic articles and tedious books with completely unnecessary fancy word use. That being said, here is a lil’ guide to tackle those kinds of long texts, comprised of the tricks I’ve learned over the years!
Preparation
As we all know, good begun is half done. Taking those extra two minutes to get everything together should save you tons of time by making you feel more productive and well-prepared!
Set goals
Something you want to do before you get to reading at all is planning. If you have a syllabus, look ahead for class readings and plan them into your schedule. Long texts take time! Try not to underestimate these kinds of tasks (and make it just a lot more do-able and fun) by breaking the real big texts into chunks and dividing them over the day or several days if needed. Have a goal to work towards - this means you want to know what needs to be done, and by when. You way want to have a set day on which you do your readings for each specific class.
Clear out your desk
A messy desk is told to make you more creative, but when reading, a nice clean environment will help you focus on the text. Pull out the supplies you need for the task at hand, and just put the rest away.
Make sure you have bright enough light
Daylight is best of course, but any light is fine as long as it is nice and bright. This will keep your mind sharp and you won’t ruin your eyes by tiring them.
Make yourself comfortable
I haven’t seen this point around a lot, but I think it is important that you feel comfortable. Studying at home? Change into a pair of fluffy pants! Light a scented candle! Go all out if you need to . If you’re in public, you may want to wear comfy clothes and have a nice warm beverage to relax you. Studying doesn’t have to be uncomfortable!
The bare necessities
Water (or tea, coffee, whatever) and a snack. You’ll need them.
Sit right
Good posture will help you SO. MUCH. I myself have suffered from a numbed back due to bad posture. Really scary. So sit straight, straighten your back and make sure your feet are flat on the floor. I know it gets dull - if you feel like you need to cross your legs or pull them up or whatever, go move for a little while and then continue.
Ready? Go.
Read smart
Don’t just dive into the text! I know it’s tempting to just get going, but be smart. Try to read the summary first if it is there to get an idea of the topic and its key points. Then, scan the text to get a sense of the structure. This will help you deciding on the types of notes you’ll need to take. Then! If you have plenty of time, go ahead and read the entire article.
Short on time? Read only the first and last line(s) of each section. Head ideas can be found here. Definitely read the summary, introduction and conclusion.
Note smart
Remember that taking notes should mean summarizing key points of information in a clear, consice manner that will help you to retain this information and be able to revise it more easily. Limit your notes to that which will serve you in the future. Continually ask yourself for each thing you jot down: “Do I need to know this?” In the end, you just want the information that you need. It’s sure nice to know how tall the Eiffel Tower is, but it won’t get you anywhere on the geography test!
Use few words, and use your own words
Find your style
There are as many ways of taking notes as there are students. Everyone has their own style, their own little tricks. Try out new ones, don’t be afraid to experiment! But, mind that the style of notes you choose fits the type of literature you’re reading. Mind mapping may work perfectly for some texts, and have no use for another. There is plenty of information to be found on the different types of notetaking and types of learners. Here are some for you to read:

Tomato time~
Reading long texts often means having to concentrate for a pretty long time on the same thing. Using the pomodoro technique may help you out. It’s really popular on studyblr so I won’t go into to much detail, but it comes down to studying in intervals of 25 mins. with 5 min. breaks inbetween. Here are some timers to get started:
TomatoTimer (Web)
PomoDoneApp (Mac/Win/Lin/And/Web)
Marinara Timer (Web)
Tomatoid (Web)
ClearFocus (And)
Clockwork Tomato (Android) <- my personal favorite!
I hope this will be of help to you! Success and have fun reading!
