My FARTHEST run ever!!!! I'm so happy!!!
💪💪💪💪
Not RP related at all but I’m super proud of myself. I have enough energy to run a half marathon still. And this is my longest run to date. I’m not sure I would’ve gotten a marathon qualifying time BUT I am super proud of myself and wanted to share what I did this morning :)
My longest run in about a year, WHAT.
It was actually really good, I went at a slow/medium jog the whole time (5.5 on treadmill as you can see lol) and my body felt strong the entire time.
This is... so shocking to me just because I know it’s not much but I’m at one of my heaviest weights and i didn’t think I’d be able to run any sort of distances for awhile... but guys those leg days have paid off. I felt like I could’ve kept going, but my feet started to go numb for some reason 🤔😬😂 yikes.
This was my warmup, did a chest/back/abs circuit, and cooled down with one mile at 5.5 on the treadmill.
I’ve got it into my head that maaaybe I could start training for a marathon... I have a LONG way to go but maybe I could actually do it this time. 😄 I feel good, for the first time all week! 🥰
My longest run ever! 16.69km / 10.37 miles!!!
This was purely accidental, I went out this morning will the intention of running 10k because my usual route is about 7.6k and I usually feel like I could do more, so I wanted to add on a few kilometers by carrying on along the cycle path instead of turning off onto the road where I usually do to come home. Buuut I started running along the next stretch of cycle path and it seemed to be going on forever, and because of the fog I couldn't really see where I was or if I was anywhere near a road (I was hoping the track would come out onto the road further along) and I kept running and running and getting further away from home, until the track looped back on itself and I got all excited thinking I was heading back for the road to get home but then I came to a sign for places that are nowhere near where I live so I had to give up my quest for a nice circular route and turn back, which got me up to my 10km, but then I had to run all the way back to my usual opening onto the road and then back home. Resulting in a run I wouldn't have thought I was actually capable of! Of course I walked a few times and stopped to give my quads a quick stretch now and then because by about 8k they felt like lead and my hips were really tight. But it was certainly a lesson in endurance and a confidence boost bc the reason I wanted to up my distance in the first place is because I want to do the Great North Run (half marathon) next year. I was only 3 miles off that distance today! But I am soooo sore, even though I've stretched twice today and been on the move all day at work 😬 Not at all looking forward to increased pain tomorrow 😂
TL;DR: I accidentally ran 10 miles today!
longest I’ve ever run by .03 miles🤗
