Tuesday 14th July

Slept well last night thank god, but felt so tired this morning. Went to work early, had a nice morning, but ended up leaving early too bc Matt had a long day and I needed to get back to Maggie, and also everyone else was leaving early and I didn't want to sit by myself all afternoon 😂

Had lunch in the garden and lay out with Mags for a while, finished Hunting Adeline and literally within an hour my next book had arrived 😂 this has been v highly recommended by the book club girls and I'm so excited to read it

Came in to work out - arm day today, felt strong

Started reading and just chilled the rest of the night. So sleepy 😴

Monday 13th July

Back to work 🥲 got a really sudden bout of horrendous heartburn on the bus, had to get off a few stops early bc I thought I was going to vom 🤢 thankfully I didn't. Walked up to work feeling terrible, logged on for half an hour then went out to get drugs once the shops opened. Perks of flexible working that's actually flexible 🙌

We had a good day, we were all v tired, everyone had a busy weekend but we had a good laugh. Got home 5.30, it was still hot so got my bikini on and lay out for a while until Matt got home. He filled me in on his weekend away and I did a little core workout while I listened

Going to bed with a headache 🤕 hoping for a good sleep 🤞

Sunday 12th July

Had a beautiful lie in until 8am!! Walked Mags then had leftover pizza and some fruit for breakfast. Felt pretty ill, v light headed and stuff I assume just bc of the heat so had to lay down for a bit chugging water and eating biscuits for the sugar. It seemed to do the trick so called Nanna Ann and she wasn't expecting any visitors, so took Maggie to see her bc she hasn't seen her in ages

She was v excited but mostly behaved herself, she found a ball and just played by herself a lot of the time 😂

It's been lovely taking her everywhere with me this weekend, she's been v sociable and a very good girl! Gave her a big chew in the garden when we got home as a treat. Did a load of housework I've been putting off, made sausage pasta bake for my dinner, sunbathed in the garden for a while 😌 now chilling with some chocolate and ready for an early night 😴

Saturday 11th July

Walked Maggie early but it was still v warm & humid 🫠 had a cold bath when we got back, then picked up my sister and her friend to go to their mud run for cancer research. They had a great time! I sat by the finish line with a vegan vanilla & coconut ice cream 😍

Was such a treat to find a decent vegan option at an ice cream van!! 😋

Picked Maggie up from home before dropping the girls back at my dad's house and took her with me to visit Nanna Mary. She was soooo happy, spent most of the time snuggling on the sofa with her 🥹

Took her home then quickly did some grocery shopping for meals this week, then worked out bc IT RAINED and it cooled the air off a bit thank god 🥵

I did not work out in joggers but I forgot to take an actual post workout pic. Had an oven pizza for dinner bc it was 9pm by the time I had done everything and fed Maggie and had a bath. Now chilling on the snuggle sofa watching tv and looking forward to only having one actual task tomorrow which is to visit Nanna Ann. And Matt is coming home tomorrow!! 🥳🥳

My life improved so much when I started forcing myself to do things: forcing myself to exercise, to cook from scratch; forcing myself to go to the movies or to museums alone, to wear that really cute outfit just to run errands; forcing myself to read a book, to strike up a conversation with a stranger, to ask for a raise.

Once you begin forcing yourself to do the things that you had been too scared or too lazy to do, you feel a sense of accomplishment that gives you momentum to do even more. It gets easier to get out of your comfort zone & to do hard things.

Fri 10th July

Walked Mags early before it got hot, it was beautifullll

Went to work, it was hot, finished at 2pm 🤌 came home and got straight into my bikini

Lay here maybe an hour until I started feeling a little unwell, went inside for some food and a cool bath. Fed Maggie, got dressed, about to go see my niece for her birthday. Excited for 45 mins in the car with the air con blasting 🥵

Thurs 9th July

Another heatwave 🔥 it was 30° here today. It does NOT reach 30° in the north east 🫠 it gets sooooo hot and stuffy in our office too but we took it like champs and then left early 👌 took Maggie literally to the field over the road from our house and strolled around it for her to sniff then came home and dragged myself through arm day. I couldn't bring myself to bench press and I had to lower my usual weights so as not to actually die lol but I am proud I still did something. Leg day will have to wait until saturday or sunday when it's supposed to be cooler

Matt is away now for the weekend so made mine and Mags' dinners and ate outside, did some chores then lay reading until the sun went down. Had a cool bath before bed. Roll on the 4:45am alarm 🤢
