We started in the dark and freezing temperatures, in search of that sunrise glow. It was the end of a big storm cycle that had dropped feet of snow on the Tahoe area. We had hoped for blue skies and beautiful early morning light, but the clouds had other plans. We waited on top of this line for more than an hour waiting for a break in the clouds. But sunrise came and went, with no break in the weather. It was getting cold and we were all questioning if anything would come together. Thanks to @amieski (cover girl), @daronrahlves and @xanderfire 's perseverance and ability to adapt on the fly, we had one of the best photography sessions of my season with some of the most stunning light. It’s a good reminder to surround yourself with good people and put yourself in position to be lucky.
