Our Father who ART(?!?) in Heaven!?!?
Apparently Pip has been paying more attention in church than I thought.
Pip: I bet it would be really dangerous to ride a unicycle on a busy road.
Me: Yes
Pip: Especially if you were a policeman. They might get hit if they fell off.
[a moment of silence]
Pip: So you’d die if you got hit by a truck?
Me: Yes, probably.
Pip: what if you were on top?
Me: on top of what?
Pip: the truck
Me: what about being on top of a truck? Why would you be on top of a truck?
Pip: Like, what if you were on top of a truck? How would you get down? Would you get hurt? I guess you’d have to wait for it to stop? What if you had to potty? [silent contemplation...] I guess you’d have to just pee on top??? But then the owner of the truck would be angry at you.
Me: I still don’t know why you are on top of a truck.
Pip: You know when we say “deliver us from evil?”
Me: in the Lord’s Prayer?
Pip: yeah. Maybe the bad guy is delivering you and evil and puts you on top of the truck.
Me: Like an Amazon truck? I’m not sure that’s what that means.
Pip: but, what if you were on top of the truck? ... I guess daddy could get me down.
Me: ...yes.
“Our Father in heaven" -- I am a child away from home.
"Your name be honored as holy"--I am a worshiper.
"Your kingdom come"--I am a subject.
"Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven"--I am a servant.
"Give us today our daily bread"--I am a beggar.
"And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors"--I am a sinner.
"And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one"--I am a sinner in danger of being a still greater sinner.”

#MiniatureMonday!
This micro-miniature, “The Doll's Prayer Book,” contains the Lord's Prayer in seven different languages. How adorable!

Talk about intense reading... this trade card advertising Columbian Art Manufacturing Co. takes the idea of kerning in design and throws it out the window. Still, it has a visually grabbing result.
