I found gleaming jewel coloured feathers scattered under one of the plum trees...no sign of a body, but I'm guessing a raptor made a meal of a lorrikeet. Unfortunate for the little parrot... There are goshawks around, and they are known to predate on birds as well as small mammals and insects. It's unlikely to be the work of a cat, not because all the cat owners around here a responsible, but as lorrikeets stay high up, they well out of reach, unlike Wrens, lizards etc. #nature #backyardwildlife #australianbirds #lorrikeet #plumtree #green #feathers #raptor (at Moyston, Victoria, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ0C5qeLMWl/?igshid=1gdk7mek4k72e
