My favourite ATEEZ songs (Current bias group who I will die for)

Welcome to the first addition of my “fave songs from each K-pop group series thingy” I’m bad at naming things, I know, but let’s get started!

This is why Hongjoong is my bias, help that smirk aaaaah

Treasure: My fave of the two debut singles. Hongjoong’s entrance immediately pulled me into the song and the rap line in general do a really good job and honestly stole the show. My only critique is YEOSANG HAS 2 SECONDS OF LINES, but apart from that it is a very very good song!

HALA HALA: Like with Treasure the Minjoong parts captivated me and pulled me in, again stealing the show. Those two are seriously the best rookie rap duo right now! Yeosang’s “Raise me up, take me up” is low-key (high-key honestly) my fave part of the entire song, so that’s a plus!

Desire: Probably my favourite song from their second EP. San’s voice really suits this song, and again, the rap line captivated me and Hongjoong’s very last “I love my desire” killed me. The 18+ vibes also pushed me off the edge, in a good way of course because I am a hoe for all 8 of them.

Light: Yunho and Jongho stole the entire show, like all Atiny will tell you that Yunho’s parts killed them BIG TIME. It’s because his voice is just so precious and honey-like and EEK. It probably surprised everyone in the best way possible tbh.

Utopia: BY FAR my favourite summer EP song, the very beginning part by Yunho and Seonghwa was enough to confirm that. Wooyoung’s “Every day every night, here we go-go-go” is really good, and SEONGHWA WAS THE ONE DOING MOST OF THE HIGH NOTES, like WHAT. Plus they even released a Japanese version and an MV to go along with it. ICONIC.

Illusion: My second fave song from their summer EP. The fun wacky vibe of the whole thing just sounds really unique to me. Like, the English translation to some of Hongjoong’s rap part is HILARIOUS. A frog and turtle speaking to me, red sunflowers, what is that? (반말하는 개구리와 거북이, 빨간색 개나리 해바라기, 저건 뭐야?) SO RANDOM I LOVE IT! It’s just a really positive and fun song to listen to if you’re down, and it’s also catchy!

Mist (안개): Ok, so this is definitely my favourite Ateez song overall, yep, I just said that, and I have no regrets. The vibe is just so hypnotic and intriguing and the vocals from WOOYOUNG are something very special. And the ending “before the sun is rising up” is JUST *chef’s kiss* This song will always be in my heart and even if I eventually find a new fave Ateez song I will NEVER get sick of Mist!

If Without You: Like Illusion, this song’s cute and wacky vibes sound really unique and make the song what it is. This is probably their most innocent love song in their entire discography, I just love it! Plus YEOSANG HAS LINES, which talk about hanging like a cat which is super cute to listen to. Plus Yunho’s opening is my fave part, end of discussion.

WIN: A BOP in all possible ways. If you’re feeling unmotivated to do something listen to this song and there’s a high chance it’ll motivate you to break a wall or take over the world or something, I dunno. But in all seriousness the song’s message is good because it encourages unconfident peeps to be more confident. The instrumental part at the end can trigger anyone to do some serious head-bopping and crazy dancing, trust me…

Horizon (지평선): The best track from their Treasure Epilogue EP, imo of course, since many people don’t really like this song. But, imma be honest, I fell in love the first listen, so take that as you will or whatever. But in all seriousness this song is really entertaining and gets you head-bopping too! Seonghwa’s closer, a little closer (더 가까이, 조금 더 가까이)  made my day the first time I heard it, so there’s that.

Precious: Like with Horizon, fell in love the first listen. The Hongjoong chorus bit is really good, he just sounds so badass in it and badass Hongjoong is my kink. (I mean what, ignore me I ain’t a hoe for him I sweaaarrr) Jongho’s “Hajiman feel it, feel it, can you feel it?” is so powerful and addictive to listen to! The flute instrumental is also just really good!!!

(OK, so I’m writing this less than 3 hours after their brand new EP was released, so I won’t include my fave songs from that just yet because I need to listen to them more so my opinion can be more matured with time!)

So that was my list of my favourite Ateez songs!!!!

Please remember that this is my opinion and that if your favourite song isn’t on here DO NOT get offended. Honestly I am just so sick of fan-wars and the whole “which songs are better” and “if you dislike this song you’re not a real fan” Like honestly frick off, thx~ I actually like all Ateez songs but this is only MY FAVOURITES from each album, so yeah!
