I recently had a couple people express to me that they didn't approve of how I quoted from and shared a link to a gawker article that included video of an interview on Fox News related to the OWS protests and my opinion that I felt the interview downplayed the use of pepper spray on protesters (http://rstg.co/tSm33Y). I also had a discussion with a friend regarding questions they had about OWS recently so I figured I'd share some of the articles I shared with them and that I felt rose above some of the nonsense to attempt to get to the core of the matter.

I think this particular article (http://rstg.co/u5gQeo) makes a decent go at summarizing some of the recent events surrounding OWS.

In addition, while I don't approve of the actions taken at the UC protest I think this article (http://rstg.co/rUgA14) helps suggest a better approach than demonizing the specific officers involved. If we don't change the perspective that violence to disperse non-violent protests is acceptable and reverse this trend in our society we can expect to see more of these type of events.
