we have to trade at least one goalie. the current situation is clearly Not Working. unfortunately i feel that based on contracts + experience + the long term vision for this team the guy most likely to get moved is Ned. also i think we should try larsson up in the nhl and maybe stop trying to run with one goalie until we burn that guy out while the other sits cold on the bench but. you know.

pt. 2 of above would be to move jarry but maybe not until the summer - give him One Last Chance and give the AHL guys someone to develop behind the next few weeks. either it goes well or we are in a better place for the draft lotto. we will probably have to retain salary on jarry which is not ideal but if it’s less than what it costs to have him in the AHL then id do it in a heartbeat

send EK to a contender and get back a 2nd pair dman and some picks/prospects. his contract is unwieldy, he isn’t living up to it here, and i dont think he is a long term fit for this team unfortunately. imo we need 1 to 2 properly defensive dmen that allow our forwards more cushion to work and help out our goalies more.

get geno a quality winger. he doesn’t have to be a star but he has got to be Consistent. we can afford to give up picks for this and we should have some cap space from moving EK. i envision geno’s line as the new quality winger and then either bunting or tito depending on which of them is on a hot streak.

i would not touch our top line

start cycling AHL guys up into the bottom six especially on the fourth line. start testing all the prospects we’ve been acquiring to see who can stick around for meaningful time next season.

Pesci

A: serious

He’s genuinely so good at reading people and how they’re feeling. Part of the reason he works so well with Prosciutto is because he’s got a very good read on how Prosciutto’s feeling at any given time without really having to say anything. Genuinely he has a pretty good read on everyone on the team and is good at noticing when things are off with them. Out of everyone he’s probably the one with the best ability to gauge how Risotto’s feeling in particular, who can be very difficult to read. He’s too nervous to ever say anything to Risotto when he notices that he’s “off” though.

B: hilarious

Not really funny just so much as I think it’s kinda cute but I think he’d definitely have a few fish tanks and he’s definitely got fish that remind him of his teammates. Wants very badly to keep a saltwater tank but he can’t afford it and doesn’t have the time to maintain it.

C: angst

After he died and vento aureo ended there was no one left to tell his mother what had happened to him. He just stopped coming home to visit her one day and she never got any closure about what had happened to her son. I think maybe she eventually knew he had died but refused to ever really sort of accept it and kept hoping he would come home. I don’t have much to say about this one I’m sorry.

D: unrealistic but I ignore canon

I HAVE to say it for someone so I’ll say it for him 👉 HE AND THE REST OF LA SQUADRA ARE FINE and they kicked diavolo’s ass the end.

Trish

A: serious

Genuinely she’s a very kind girl, she’s just not sure how to react when she’s uncomfortable/scared/wants to be left alone. Her instinct is to lash out and be bossy in order to put some distance between herself and others and it can give people a very different first impression of her. That’s why she’s so bossy/demanding when she’s first introduced in vento aureo; she’s in an unfamiliar situation and is rightfully scared, so she’s lashing out.

B: hilarious

Hmmmm this isn’t really “hilarious” but I don’t have a ton of like silly thoughts about her but I think she’s got a very good grasp on language and she’s really good at like. Wordplay. She’s not usually one to crack jokes so she catches people off guard on the very rare occasions that she dryly drops a joke in conversation, if that makes sense.

C: angst

I think obviously Vento Aureo was… a lot for her. But I think she was going through a LOT of emotions during that time especially in regard to Diavolo. I think growing up for a long time she was very curious about who her father was and wanted to know like. Why he abandoned her and why he didn’t love her mother enough to stick around but as she got older she stopped caring about him and didn’t want to ever meet him. So when her mother died and someone came to her telling her she was going to be taken to her father that she’d never known, she was angry and confused about why he wanted to be in her life all of a sudden. And then of course he tried to kill her after everything and it left her to deal with even more anger and confusion over that, all of which she dealt with pretty silently. :(

D: unrealistic

I don’t think she like. NEEDS to have some sort of surrogate stand in father to fill whatever void never knowing her own father would’ve left but I think part of her would’ve probably wanted some sort of “positive” male figure in her life. I know they’re all in the mafia so how positive of figures can they really be but I want a reality where La Squadra and Bucciarati’s team work together and she finds some type of like positive older male figure to have in her life.

Ghiaccio

A: realistic

While he IS typically very easily irritable, he’s not normally as explosively angry as he is in Vento Aureo. In fact he kind of hates to be that intensely angry or worked up over anything because it burns him out very quickly, like a match. When he does have these moments, he finds that it tends to use up all his energy and leaves him exhausted for the rest of the day.

B: hilarious

This is a fairly obvious one but yes he can use his stand as like a makeshift air conditioner. No he won’t do it for anyone because it annoys him when people ask and he’s petty about it. Either he refuses or he straight up just makes it so cold in the room that everyone’s begging him to stop.

C: angst

Ummmm he’s got a lot of internalized anger towards himself over how hard it is for him to control his emotions sometimes. It upsets him that his own temper led to him having to give up the one thing he was really passionate about as a kid. He won’t talk to anyone about it though.

D: unrealistic

There’s no basis for this but I think he can and should go to a rage room to let off some steam and break shit. Except he probably can’t justify to himself spending the money to go do that so I think he should just buy a box of plates from a thrift store and go break them one by one in an empty parking lot by himself until he calms the fuck down.

prompt: au in which no one dies and Tim never becomes Robin + Tim hasn't visited the Wayne manor in a while. Jason decides to visit him instead and finds out Tim is home alone with a twisted ankle (that he totally didn't hurt while stalking Batman and Robin lmao what are you talking about)

Jason was benched. 

It wasn’t his fault! Well, maybe it was his fault, he got a little reckless and got grazed by a bullet last night, but it was just a graze. He should be fine to patrol again tonight, but no. 

He scowled, crossing his arms. His homework was finished, and he’d been bouncing off the walls all day. He needed to go somewhere, but Gotham at night? Either one of his family would find him, or he would find trouble, and he wasn’t sure which he preferred.

It would be so nice if he had company, but no, Duke had to be on the night shift this week. Maybe if Tim had stayed over...

Jason pursed his lips. When was the last time Tim was over? Time was a construct, but he knew it had been a while. 

He scrambled to his feet.

He could visit Tim! That didn’t require endangering himself and/or embarrassing himself by running into his family.

Emboldened by his idea, Jason ran out the door. 

A few minutes later, he rang the doorbell.

And three minutes later, no one was there.

He rang it again. 

This time, the door creaked open, with one tiny Tim behind it. His eyes widened when he saw Jason, and he stepped back to let Jason in. 

If Jason hadn’t been trained, he might not have noticed Tim’s wince, but even then, he would’ve seen Tim’s ankle. He gaped. It looked swollen and twisted, so before Tim could greet him, he said, “Holy shit, are you okay?”

Tim blinked. “I’m fine?”

Jason narrowed his eyes. “That shouldn’t be a question. Did you get medical attention for that?” Obviously, he didn’t, by the looks of it. But Jason thought he would ask. 

Tim shrugged. “I’m fine. And you’re not usually available at night. Did something happen?”

“Uh...” Jason mentally ran through his excuses, and he was pretty sure his excuse for Tim was homework. “Finished everything early. Thought I would check in on my favorite neighbor. Let’s circle back, where the fuck are your parents? You’re injured.”

“Only a little!” Tim protested. “And my parents, they... they’re too busy to come back and deal with me.”

Honestly, fuck Tim’s parents. Jason had half a mind to march up to Bruce and demand he adopt Tim, if Bruce wasn’t planning on it already. 

“You’re coming back with me.” It was a statement, one that hopefully left no room for question. “We can get you medical attention.”

“No, no, no, it’s nothing, really, I’m okay—”

“Bullshit,” Jason singsonged, hoisting Tim over his shoulder. Jesus, Tim was skinny. “We care about you, Timmy, you’re gonna get help.”

Tim still struggled in Jason’s arms, but his struggling weakened. “You don’t have to,” Tim mumbled.

“But I want to,” Jason chimed cheerfully, now all the way across Tim’s lawn. He wanted to say, Just because your parents don’t care doesn’t mean we don’t, but he knew it wouldn’t be taken well, so he kept his mouth shut. Still, once this boy got back to the Manor, he would be absolutely showered with love. 

Like Tim deserved, even if he couldn’t recognize it.
