◇ This comic takes place after EP 9 (Spooks Paradise), After both Rui and Haru refused to join Romeo's team on the mixed mission, saying they were either too busy with the upcoming Samsara event or even ending the call on him half way (Haru).

Later on in EP 17 Waves Of Love, we learn from Rui that Romeo actually felt so angry at his drinking buddies

I think this is a very cute behaviour from Romeo *cries*

Both Haru and Rui are special to him to the point that he gets to act all childish and frustrated on them !

Headcanon:

The way the bar trio act together gives A STRONG sibling like energy, Rui the eldest Haru the middle and Romeo the youngest which is actually very funny and real since Romeo's birthday is in November making him the youngest out of the three ( Rui: March | Haru: September)

And with Romeo being the baby, I do feel that Rui subconsciously spoils him a lot, especially when they are alone in the bar !

I would also like to pinpoint that it is ALWAYS Rui who seems to care or mention Romeo more than Haru does!

Closing the bar > let me contact Romi fast

Closed the bar > Romi got really angry with me

Not joining Romeo on his mission > Romi was so pissed with me

Going on a mission with Taiga > Now i understand why Romi does this and that ...

Romoe's handsome face is it really just a ... joke ?

Since the moment Romeo got introduced in the game, his face was the most scared thing

Tbh i really thought at first it was nothing more than some "character joke" made specifically to suit Romeo's personality

However the more i read the more i felt unsure if it was a mer joke ...?

Looking back to Sinostra mission [ep4], when the anomaly was about to strike both him and the MC, isn't the normal reaction for any being is to fear getting injured severely ? an injury that would cause you to lose your life ?

But for Romeo, his immediate reaction wasn't "it's attacking" or maybe curse like he usually does, but to yell "NOT THE FACE" !?

I mean, look at his expression? Isn't this a real look of fear ???

That is not the only problem

Because a panel later, you can see the way he crawled himself, covering only his face area while leaving the rest unprotected

Notice how the artist placed the MC SPECIFICALLY next to him ! There is really a huge difference between them regarding their body language !!

MC: She is no expert in combat, so her normal reaction is to prepare for the hit, almost sitting down, with head covered.

LULU Romeo: Although he was standing like the MC before the hit, he managed to lay down on floor forcing all his focus point near his face (bend neck, arms, even knees) plus the facial expressions (grinding his teeth) which psychological indicating that a person has a high level of stress and anxiety.

So I wonder! Is there really no story behind all that ? .. i truly wish to believe these behaviours and actions aren't for "comedy reasons" used by the writers, but rather foreshadowing it to some sort of past connection to a deeper story .. a trauma, heavy injury, or maybe ... a mirror to his self-worth

✨️Romeo the pretty face man✨️

Before this scene happened Romeo was labelled as a stalker/ weirdo by Kaito multiple times he even made sure Luca would think so inorder to push Romeo away from him

but !!!

later on when he got his first screen time rather that being introduced as "kaito's stalker" for us the readers he was named as the "stranger with a pretty face"

Oh man, tell me about it his face is a true piece of art. I can't blame Taiga for the way he keeps pinpointing it. i mean, he is his dorm VICE CAPTAIN

I highly believe this is due to the impact the MC had on him

Unlike us the reader or Luca

The MC was left in the dark by the drama Kaito played on Luca through their attempts to help her escape

[ him being sick and wanting to help the love of his life escape without noticing the jealous stalker ]

In which Kaito made sure to speak up with Luca on private having US the readers build up some assumptions

So when Romeo finally showed up for the first time, the MC was deeply struck by this sassy aggressive absolutely handsome young man (she's like me fr)

sadly, after Romeo attacked her, her opinion shifted and started calling him out as the "sniper"

Romeo's connection power

I really love how Romeo is one of the characters who kept most of his relationships even after the clash happend

Yes he has an attitude and beef with alot of the characters

However, unlike the rest of the ghouls, he never really stated that a certain house or a leader is bad and is completely chill with the situation and is holding his connections with at least one character from each dorm

Frostheim

Kaito: if Romeo is not in Sinostra he is mostly playing around with Kaito, bullying him with his debt , however even without the debt Romeo seems to have fun of the idea of keeping Kaito close, just like how he ended up inviting Kaito to be the first to join his mission [ ep 9 ]

Vagastorm

Leo: They both seem to enjoy hanging over with the each other in their free time, with Leo inviting Romeo to The pit (although it is of limit to other houses) and Romeo inviting Leo to his vip room (which is also considered Romeo private space)

They do seem to enjoy each other company especially since they have common struggles with their house leaders (Romeo dealing with Taiga and Leo dealing with Alan)

Jabberwock & Obscuary

Haru and Rui !!! his drinking partners annnnd not only that! i also truly believe they were close friends even before Rui opened his bar, afterall All three of them do call each other with nicknames and even hint ALOT about the old days

Mortkranken

Yuri: it was implied that Yuri and Romeo did have a good relationship before certain events [ep 8]

You can slightly notice the hesitation in Yuri voice after he insulted Romeo and is shacken back for a minute, but alas, this didn't last much before Yuri pride took over, and both started attacking the other

But whatever did happen in the past ! Romeo is actually not that bothered by Yuri or Mortkranken in general because if he did he would have stopped the MC from calling them and asking for help, he just kept it to himself and went along with the suggestion being the best solution for the current situation.

Jiro: I don't think Romeo knew who Jiro was before meeting him in [ep 9], but i believe it does consider that he has become a part of Romeo's acquaintances list

Hotarubi

NOTE: Do know i haven't read anything after ep 9 so im not quite sure if there were any new interactions happening

Zenji: in ep9 Zenji was jumping with excitement when Romeo used the fox robe, showering Romeo with praises for his skill and talent and for this alone i really would love to think that Zenji did admire Romeo at some point in his life and might have (tried to) struck a coversation or two with Romeo we never know o7

Haku: The number one character i think Romeo is connected to in Hotarubi and is still so far

From the start of the game two characters were introduced from the cast which are Taiga and Haku, judging from the way the two of them spoke to each other it can be understood that their relationship is close to "good term", so going through this pattern of thinking since Sinostra house leader is cool with Haku around him, I highly think Romeo is on the same boat.

Another point which i strroooongly stand with is the postion both Haku and Romeo hold within the academy.

We can see them running errands to their teachers, going on more mission, even receiving special treatment alongside the way

For all that, they have a lot in common and won't bother nor stand in the way, especially because neither of them would really gain anything out of it.

In the end

Romeo is the beast, and he knows how to social interact ... ( ﾟεﾟ；)
