Thank you :)  Yeah, I thought the last half of 2017 sucked, and 2018 was worse, and then 2019 was worse than both of them.  I'm not enjoying 2020 thus far either.  I guess if there's one positive thing that's come from all of this it's that I'm really enjoying the good moments when they do come...but am always waiting for the other shoe to drop.  

Also, someone showed up with COVID-19 yesterday at the hospital a handful of blocks away from our house, so you can imagine how happy my germaphobe ass is about it :>  But supposedly she was masked when she went in, and hopefully it doesn’t spread.

Thank you very much :)  I feel like it'd be easier to handle my own health problems if I wasn't stressing about the cats, so I just want the two of them to get well and stay well for a good long time.  I did end up calling the vet when I remembered the clinic would be closed for most of the weekend, so we've started Lisa on a new round of antibiotics and probiotics...hopefully it does the trick this time.

Thank you very much!  My dad had his gallbladder out so I won't be surprised if the surgeon decides to remove mine.  A person can function without one (although digestion is more difficult) and can function if it has stones, but if a stone gets loose and then lodged in the bile duct it's very painful and possibly fatal.  Plus a poorly-functioning gallbladder can cause pain and digestive issues, although that's not life-threatening AFAIK.  So doctors weigh the odds, I guess.  The surgeon speculated that maybe my IBS symptoms have been gallbladder issues all along and that's a pretty interesting theory, though we probably wouldn't know unless it was removed and the 'IBS' symptoms improved.

Thank you, I'm trying to!  It's very weird how things have been recently -- whenever I've over-exerted myself or get tired, I start feeling exactly like I've got a cold (chills, sore throat, body aches, etc) or get dizzy.  And then those symptoms go away when I've gotten some sleep.  I guess the body has its ways of making its needs or displeasure known.

Thank you very much, I hope so too!  We could use some good news around here, and some peace and quiet...and rest sounds really great right now :)  Hopefully things get better and calmer for everyone who’s been going through a tough time recently.

Thank you :)  Yes, at this point I'm just really hoping that whatever's in the kidney is benign and not hampering its function in any way.  The surgeon I saw this week isn't dealing with the kidney (at least not yet), but he was looking at the MRI results and asked me if the kidney finding was going to be pursued.  It made me a little more nervous to know that another doctor thinks it's a signficant finding, and it's not just my family doctor being paranoid.  But hopefully it's nothing significant.

I don't know when I'll be seeing the kidney specialist or getting the gallbladder test, because the Canadian health care system's chief flaw is that things often move very slowly.  But I'm grateful for the system we have, we're fortunate.

You're right, it is canonical!  If it works it works, but as we saw it didn't exactly work so it wasn't the greatest of plans.  He should have simply destroyed them for safety’s sake.

His rationale in the Presidential Race story was that stashing the Rogues' weapons kept them off the street, and there is some merit to the idea -- but as we saw, the weapons weren't exactly secured and Roscoe easily stole them.  I really don’t like that story though, so it's not a huge surprise to see multiple people holding the idiot ball there.  So many infuriating flaws which dragged down a cool premise.

Thank you :)  And I like the way you think -- I have books, but TBH I really should get a laptop to do other things and it'd be nice to watch movies...as much as I enjoy reading, doing only that for days does get a little tiring. And yeah, the local weather/climate in 2019 has been extremely difficult to deal with.  It was overall pretty mild until January, but it's been swinging around almost constantly between various extremes and that's so hard on people.  We've reaped what we've sowed regarding climate change :(

I am still under the weather sadly, but hopefully recovering.

Sorry to hear that :\  I agree that he should be used sparingly because people can and will get tired of him, but personally I think he's so well done and definitely the best villain in the series (Len was great too, but he essentially got written out as a Flash villain and is no longer appearing anyway), and am thus jazzed to have him return.  Especially played by Tom.

What I'd really like is for the show to put more work into the other villains to make them the fully-realized characters Eobard and Len are (and now Mick is over in Legends, though of course he's no longer present as a Flash villain either), and have Eobard show up to menace things every once in a while as a special treat.  But as it is he's really the only truly great villain in the show IMO, and he's probably needed.

Thank you very much, that’s sweet of you :)  Though I'm not particularly bothered by the Tumblr issue, TBH, if only because I've almost left the site several times over the past 6 months.  The harassment I've experienced here has left a lot of anxiety about this place.

You're right on all counts; I think the only real issue is if someone doesn't want to leave but finds nobody else around.  There are a couple of sites I won't go to if the fandom happens to migrate over there, so I'll just have to wait and see what happens, I guess.

Huh, probably.  I didn't get any notification saying they were flagged, but wouldn't put anything past Tumblr's not-smart algorithim.  It goes without saying that they weren't sensitive material, but of course that's been happening to everyone.

An update about the WordPress mirroring of this blog: apparently it's been going all this time (I thought it had stopped), and has now reached its upload limit unless I buy more space ($5, $10, or $33 CDN a month, depending on the package).  So WordPress may not be a great mirroring option for people with big blogs.

Yeah, I don't think DC has really explained or publicized the two release schedules very much, so it's something people are left to figure out on their own.  I used to be confused about it too.  And no problem, glad to help!

Yeah, Canada does make some good ones.  It used to be that our stamps were really good while our coins were rather meh, but the Mint has really stepped up its game in recent years.  You have to see this one which was recently released....sadly none of us can afford it :>  

For some reason the Mint has been sending representatives to Fan Expo in recent years to promote their nerd coins and stamps (in addition to DC comics stuff, they also do a lot of Star Trek and some Looney Tunes) and I once talked to the guy who was responsible for getting the DC coins made.  He was really hoping to make Aquaman coins because apparently that's his fandom.

That's Fastback (whose name I misspelled in my original post), and he's a surprisingly old character!  There are a few turtle Flashes in the Multiverse, because I guess DC just can’t resist the joke.

I know my shop used to always be delayed by civic holidays, but these days it doesn't seem to be for some reason.  So hopefully yours isn’t.

@duke-nitro pointed out that Axel has a new arm on the cover of the next issue, so maybe the para-angel tore it off because they plan to regrow it for him with the Strength Force or something.  Or it's possible the arm just fell off accidentally here and that's why it gets regrown.  But it’s interesting because it kind of telegraphs that the cover is not in fact an art error.
