Thank you so much, all!! There were a few bumps along the way but it was overall pretty great and very relaxing :) Plus I saw cool animals I don’t usually get to see!

You guys have the BEST coins!
Yeah, Canada does make some good ones. It used to be that our stamps were really good while our coins were rather meh, but the Mint has really stepped up its game in recent years. You have to see this one which was recently released....sadly none of us can afford it :>
For some reason the Mint has been sending representatives to Fan Expo in recent years to promote their nerd coins and stamps (in addition to DC comics stuff, they also do a lot of Star Trek and some Looney Tunes) and I once talked to the guy who was responsible for getting the DC coins made. He was really hoping to make Aquaman coins because apparently that's his fandom.

Don't be sorry! It's lovely.
It really is, and I really love that coin :) There are far more cool coins out there than I can afford, but it’s nice to drool over them, at least!

how dare you compare this horrible scumbag malaputative supervillain to mirror master
tricksterrune replied to your photo post:
does that mean he'd stay if they gave him a cape and elf booties though?
He's a simple man; all he wants are fine clothes and lots of applause :>

omg!! these are so good!!!
They are, and I was so glad to see them!

Either way, he wears black and white. Maybe he just doesn't like stripes.
He hates that the horizontal style isn’t slimming!
ashlethenggm replied to your photo post:
They forgot Rainbow Raider, or is he just an honorary member at that point in the comics?
He actually didn't debut until a few years later :) And even Lisa hadn't appeared yet by this point (early 1977), although she soon would.
ashlethenggm replied to your photo post:
DC/Transformers crossover must happen now. That or I'd just love to see Lenny shooting an ice beam from atop a dinosaur.
I think we all would! Len would just have so much fun, and it’d be worth it to see him grin :>
Spoilers for new comics beyond this point!

Re: "a few other pages at CBR which aren't included here that involve Barry talking to various Flashes from the Multiverse" - is that McSnurtle there? Or his nephew? Or some new turtle speedster I'm unaware of?
That's Fastback (whose name I misspelled in my original post), and he's a surprisingly old character! There are a few turtle Flashes in the Multiverse, because I guess DC just can’t resist the joke.

*squeak!* I am not expanding the scans to read the previews yet - I kind of want to see the issue sort of unspoiled this week, although if it's late coming in tomorrow because Monday was a civil holiday I may revise this - but the art and panels look *really* promising. :D :D
Glad you're looking forward to it, and hopefully you really enjoy it :D I know what you mean about wanting to read the whole thing at once and yet being torn about previews!
I know my shop used to always be delayed by civic holidays, but these days it doesn't seem to be for some reason. So hopefully yours isn’t.

...wait did the parawhatever rip off Axel's arm? Why???
@duke-nitro pointed out that Axel has a new arm on the cover of the next issue, so maybe the para-angel tore it off because they plan to regrow it for him with the Strength Force or something. Or it's possible the arm just fell off accidentally here and that's why it gets regrown. But it’s interesting because it kind of telegraphs that the cover is not in fact an art error.
