-When Rory and Serena were little, they would play dress up in Lily’s clothes and imagine who they would be when they got older. It always started out serious, and then turned into a heap of giggling girls in too-big dresses playing on the floor.
-Serena never told Rory just how bad it got with the drugs and the partying, but somehow Rory always seemed to be there when Serena had had a particularly tough night.
-There was one time during a particularly boring award ceremony their parents had dragged them to where Rory and Serena grabbed a plate of hors ‘dourves and snuck off to eat them in the coat closet. They spent most of the ceremony sitting behind the coats telling stories.
-After Serena had no luck trying to contact her father, she called Rory crying. Rory just listened, and helped, and stayed on the phone until Serena fell asleep. They never talked about it, but knowing that Rory was there for her really helped.
