Gently Boost Your Lymphatic Flow at Home! lymphatic drainage massage 💧
Ever wonder about that system working silently behind the scenes to help clear out waste and support your immunity? That's your lymphatic system! Think of it as your body's internal cleansing network, moving fluid (lymph) that contains waste products and immune cells.
Unlike your circulatory system which has the heart as a pump, the lymphatic system relies on muscle movement, breathing, and gravity to keep things flowing smoothly. When this flow becomes stagnant (due to inactivity, dehydration, stress, etc.), you might experience things like puffiness, sluggishness, brain fog, or feel more susceptible to colds.
Supporting your lymphatic drainage is a gentle way to encourage your body's natural detox processes and feel more vibrant. Here are 4 simple ways to activate lymphatic flow at home:
Deep Diaphragmatic Breathing:
How it Helps: The pumping action of deep belly breaths acts like a powerful internal massage for lymphatic vessels, especially deep in the torso.
How to Do It: Lie down comfortably. Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly. Inhale slowly through your nose, letting your belly rise (chest stays relatively still). Exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat for 5-10 minutes daily.
Gentle Dry Brushing:
How it Helps: The light brushing motion on the skin can stimulate surface lymphatic vessels, encouraging movement towards lymph nodes.
How to Do It: Using a natural bristle brush, start at your feet and use long, gentle strokes upwards towards your heart. Brush your arms upwards towards your armpits. Always brush towards the center of your body/heart. Use light pressure – you're stimulating the skin, not scrubbing it! Do this before showering.
Simple Self-Massage (Neck & Collarbone):
How it Helps: Gently massaging key areas where lymph nodes cluster can help move stagnant fluid.
How to Do It: Using light, gentle pressure with your fingertips:
Stroke downwards along the sides of your neck, from behind the ears towards the collarbone.
Gently pump/press in the soft hollows just above your collarbones.
Repeat several times. Can be done with a light oil or lotion if preferred.
Movement & Rebounding:
How it Helps: Muscle contraction is crucial for moving lymph! Any form of movement helps. Rebounding (gentle bouncing on a mini-trampoline) is particularly effective due to the vertical motion and gravitational pull.
How to Do It: Go for a walk, stretch, do yoga, dance! Or, gently bounce on a rebounder (or even just bounce lightly on the balls of your feet) for a few minutes daily.
🚑 Important Note: These are general wellness practices. If you have significant swelling (lymphedema) or serious health concerns, always consult with a qualified healthcare professional or certified lymphatic therapist.
After such a good start, back into fasting after two weeks away, I'm struggling.
The mucus problem is in overdrive.
Doesn't bother me so much during longer fasts, but it never goes away fully.
After a recommendation from a fellow resetter, I'm trying lymphatic drainage massage.
No idea if it's having any effect just yet, but I'm going to keep on with it, at least once a day.
I'm at the point now where I'll honestly try anything, as long as it's free, lol.
Most people have strongly advised me to go back to dairy free and persist with it.
But I don't want to do two things at once, or I won't know which one helped, if either of them DO help.
So I'll stick with this for a week. If ot makes no difference, I'll have to go dairy free once again.
I'm also now thinking the recent damp, muggy weather is another trigger.
Anyway, on with this new trual.
Plus I will hopefully have my results back from the hair strand bioresonance test in the next few days
I started the day with my usual bulletproof, then got moving with a good, solid upper body strength workout.
Lack of sleep, food intolerances, roller coaster blood sugars, inflammatory conditions and rubbish weather won't get in my way.
Clench those fists, look straight ahead, and keep working......
This is so relaxing & satisfying to watch. Black woman take care of yourself ✨

Something interesting to consider if you suffer from any of these….
Chronic illness •Auto immune disorder •Thyroid imbalances (hyperthyroidism) •Weak immune system •Sinus congestion/infections •Headaches •Consistent fatigue •Swollen lymph nodes •Poor circulation •Itching •Allergies •Cellulite •Overweight •Swollen face and or limbs •Puffy eyes in the morning •Fluid retention •Swollen tonsils
Jumping on a trampoline!! Told you it was fun!
The human body contains hundreds of lymph nodes which are located in areas like the chest, underarms and groin.
The lymphatic system - a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials. The primary function is to transport lymph, a fluid containing infection fighting white blood cells throughout the body.
An interesting fact that I learned studying the lymphatic system is that unlike the circulatory system that has your heart to pump blood throughout the body, the lymphatic system has no organ to circulate lymph. It relies on muscular contractions to work against gravity. Lymphatic drainage only goes one way and that is toward the neck. It has to continually work against gravity to move lymph to lymph nodes.
Even if you do not have one of the symptoms listed above, everyone encounters toxins in the environment. Food contains chemicals, hormones and preservatives that compromise the digestive system. When people don’t move around enough, many of these toxins will stay trapped within the cells.
Any form of exercise is beneficial in assisting the Lymphatic system to work it’s best, but one of the most effective involves rebounding (jumping). A trampoline allows your knees and body to bounce without stress and is a powerful detox for the body!
It’s said that gentle bouncing on a mini trampoline for a couple minutes every hour is good therapy for preventing and treating cancer as well. So maybe we all keep a mini trampoline in our living room, kitchen or office and jump on it throughout the day?!
Fun fact: apparently rebounding exercise is 68% more efficient than jogging. Six minutes of jumping can equal a mile of jogging! Trampoline exercise firms the legs, thighs, abdomen, and hips.

There’s a lot of information about the Lymphatic system on the internet, including a list of other ways to get the lymphatic system moving such as acupuncture, massage/Face massage, sauna, clay baths, inversions such as headstands, downward dog and more!
I hope this information is able to help someone out there there today!
Tools of the trade ☺️ the latest obsession ... #guasha! Looking forward to potentially learning the real art of this skin boosting energising technique next year to offer to clients! I never post much about my actual life on here but for over a year now I’ve been battling with blood cancer. It first started to attack my lymph nodes that grew so many tumors I had to have emergency surgery. Currently it’s attacking my internal organs. I take about 15 pills a day, I have ischemic strokes, I suffer every day till I have a bone marrow donor. Save a life, sign up today #DKMS
I’ll always accept donations because I miss a lot of work due to biopsies, hospital stays and being to weak to leave my bed some days. My cashapp is $mayhemqueen
