Island Life
Today being both Independent Book Store Day and Local Yarn Store Day, I mounted a mildly disorganized expedition of discovery:
• Ferry knitting on the scenic route from Friday Harbor to Anacortes thanks to ferry M/V Samish
• Books and a restorative cup of coffee at Pelican Bay Books and Coffee. Bite Me brings me one title closer to the complete published novels of Christopher Moore
• Yarn from Fidalgo Artisan Yarns. If you know me, you understand that the question isn’t whether I bought yarn, it’s how much
The worsted Malabrigo Rios will be a shawl in transgender pride colors. I already know the shape and name of it. Other yarn awaits inspiration.
I assumed that the project I cast on last night would be another pair of pirate socks, but they’ve since told me that they are gloves. I’m good with that. Pirate gloves it is!
