At first i didn't think much of it, but after mulling it over some, you can take this so many ways.
In the Kingdom of Vale, to the south of Mountain Glenn, sits a quiet village called Ansel.
Jaune was the third child of the Arc family. His father was a militiaman, and his mother was a farmer.
"We help each other because we are family." His mother said. "Just like the kingdoms are family to each other."
One day, while helping plant seeds into the ground, Jaune found a mask in the dirt. It was white and coated in red dust.
The dust would not leave his hands, no matter how he wiped and washed them. He wept for his mother.
"No tears." His mother chided. "The Grimm hunt us by our tears, and your father is away."
One week later, the dust had collected on every hand in the village. Jaune's mother was the first to pass from the illness that followed.
Today, the village of Ansel is dead, and no one was heard from the village again.
