It’s comforting painting these at my desk. I sit there & I imagine how my father sat there before me. I have a different desk, but it sits in the same place his did. I remember him building his layout, painting his buildings & trains, & seeing him work at his desk. The memories are vivid so when I’m working….it’s like he’s sitting there with me. I think he’d be really happy to know his workspace is where I create now. The tradition of the train room lives on.
I’m sure he knows.
