DONT TALK TO ME I JUST REREAD ALONE ON THE WATER
I am in shambles
“I am undone” wrap it up buddy 😭😭
So I was reading an old Buddie fic last night (and when I say last night I mean I stayed up till 4am to finish it) and since I was reading it on a e-reader app, when I was done I went back to leave kudos and comment cause I'd loved it.
And what do I find on the related work section, but a podfic by the one and only Mad_Lori. And since this was 4am and I was incredibly overtired, I had to make sure I was not misremebering the name of one of the first fic authors who shattered ny heart during my BBC Sherlock obsessed years.
Once I had confirmed that she did in fact write "Alone on the water" and I was not hallucinating, I went to check her 911 fics.
And the backlash I got from realising that most of them were about Tommy Kinard... I was not prepared.
Anyways, the point of this story is:
I don't know how to tell stories
You shouldn't go down AO3 spirals at 4am
And I will now have to get over myself and read some Buck/Tommy fics (it's not that I don't like Tommy, he's an interesting character, I just don't like him for Buck)
you know I think a lot about the fact that the second fanfiction I ever read, having just fell face first into fandom via marauders cosplay at the tender age of 12, was alone on the water by mad_lori. what the fuck
I haven't really participated in the Sherlock fandom in years but every time it gets to Oscar season I always get the urge to reread Performance In A Leading Role!
yearly occasion where i think about performance in a leading role by mad_lori and how i wish sherlock holmes and john watson were up for oscars in the drama romance film of the century director ang lee

The British Government accidentally clones Sherlock Holmes. Which brings a baby to 221B Baker Street
1. Kanizsa's Triangle
These spatially separate fragments give the impression of a bright white triangle, defined by a sharp illusory contour, occluding three black circles and a black-outlined triangle.
Kanizsa figurers trigger the percept of an illusory contour by aligning Pac-Man-shaped inducers in the visual field such that the edges form a shape. Though not explicitly part of the image, Kanizsa figures evoke the percept of a shape, defined by a sharp illusory contour.
2. Neon color spreading: the cyan circle's contours are illusory.
3. The Ehrenstein illusion is of a bright disc.
4. A Kanizsa illusion in the lower arms.
