1. Do you use a repetitive motion to stimulate daydreams (rocking, pacing, etc.)? What is it/are they? Can you daydream without repetitive movement?

I usually rock, and bite my lips, sometimes I walk around if I'm alone, but I don't pace as often is other MaDDers do. I don't need to do things to daydream, which is nice, cause I can daydream when I'm trying to sleep. Sometimes when I would get home from school I would just sit in the living room in a rocking chair and daydream for awhile, and if anyone walked in I would pretend like I was on my phone

10. What influences your daydreams? Real-time events? Books? Movies?

I would definitely say my daydreams are influenced by books I read and movies/shows I watch. I tend to keep real world events separate from my daydreams, like there's no pandemic in my daydreams right now, but sometimes my paras will be in the same universe as characters from a book/show/movie. Especially if I'm really engrossed in it. Also, sometimes if I'm watching something, or playing a game, my paras will also be watching/playing it. This doesn't really happen for books though cause reading a book is like daydreaming for me

20. Have any of your paras completely disappeared/vanished from the daydream world? Is there a story behind it or was it an unconscious occurrence? Do you think they might return? Do you want them to?

I wouldn't say any of them have disappeared completely, but there are some that I don't daydream about as much anymore. Most of the time my daydreams will only involve a few paras, so it's difficult to have a role for every para for every plot. I do want them to be involved more, though

26. Do you act out your daydreams? Do you speak to/through your Paras out loud?

I definitely act them out sometimes, but only when I'm alone, and when I'm not trying to sleep or in the car or something. When I'm playing a video game or doing homework it's usually like they're right there with me, talking to me and joking around and helping me sometimes. It honestly helps because it's easier for me to think things through and organize my thoughts when they take the form of what a para is saying to me

30. Do you daydream to music? Is music a necessity to daydream? Do you have headphones? How loud do you keep the volume?

I do use music in my daydreams, sometimes it's in the daydream, while other times it's just backround noise. I don't need music to daydream, but I like having it, especially if I'm trying to focus on a specific plot, I'll have a playlist or a few songs I'll listen to to help me stay with a plot I want to finish, cause I have ADD and when I'm daydreaming my paras just tend to keep talking and talking and I get distracted my my own thoughts 🤣. I try to keep the volume low most the time but if it's a really good song I'll turn it up more, but I've been trying to be more conscious of how loud it is

42. When did you know what you did was different?

It's kinda hard to say when exactly, because for me it wasn't like I just realized it right away, it took me awhile for it to sink in that not everyone daydreams as much as I do. I'd say I was in 8th grade when I really started to think about how not everyone has paras and paracosms (at the time I didn't know what the name for them was yet, though)

49. Do you get excited when you see it hear a para's name in thisverse? When you see someone who looks like them? When you see something you associate with them?

Yes, I definitely do. One of my para's names of Minnie (I named her after Minnie Mouse but she would hate that if she knew 🤣) and my sisters were actually talking about Minnie Mouse and for some reason my brain just kept being like "Minnie?!?!" But they obviously didn't mean my para 🤣. Sometimes I'll see pictures of people who look like my para, or maybe their hair/eyes/whatever will look like my para's, so I'll save it or screenshot it to use as a reference to draw them later. Certain things will remind me or my para's as well, like diamonds and obsidian remind me of Dee, cause she has a staff made of obsidian and diamonds, and the color purple will remind me of Minnie, cause she has purple hair

Schools back. What to do?

Hi yea after only 11 days of school I already have to pull an all nighter because I'm so behind on assignments.

I know a lot of people with madd struggle with education and staying on top of assignments, lessons, and projects.

I wanted to ask you guys, how do you survive your learning career with madd? What do you daydream about when you have to get stuff done?

I'll start off with some things I do.

I'll usually make an AU/go to the past in a paraverse and have some of my favorite paras go to college so that I feel like I need to do work so that they can get the job/education they need.

I'll also work what I'm doing into the jobs/interests of my paras so that it's just a project for them to do.

I'll work hard for 20 minutes and then take a 20 minute break to daydream (remember to set timers)

I'll add more if people dm me or I think of something else.

Do you ever have random changes in your paracosm and you have to completely rearrange the entire universe? How does it make you feel?

Today while I was pacing around [as one does lol] my brain decided to fuck up my paras and change Larkins family structure. Now instead of it being two fathers, an older sister, and the twins, it's two fathers, one set of twins, and another set of twins. So I guess Lark has two new brothers and no more sisters?
