Garbage Day

I feel like Madeline levels up in anti-coping techniques each time I come around to watch these dogs.

Today without hesitation she leaped up onto my husband’s empty spot in the bed and whacked the buttons on the clock radio to a) turn it on, and b) turn the volume up as loud as she possibly could. Then tried to burrow under my covers.

It was all rather deliberate too: she’d try the same thing after I’d unplug it. get frustrated, and clumsily whack every relevant button with her paw. Then looked at me all ‘now it’s your turn. I give up.’

Currently I made her a little cave in the basement. Rush and CSNY are blasting from the TV to serve as her noise to drown out the trucks, instead.
