When Meeks’ parents got the news, they decided to reach out to some of his friends. They had met Pitts before, so they got in contact with him. No one had really stayed in contact since graduation. They all slowly drifted apart. He wrote letters to each of the poets. Pitts was 100% at the funeral. Charlie got his letter and showed up to the funeral. A little late cause of traffic, but he was there. Knox got his letter and showed up. Pitts did not have Todd’s address, and no one has really been able to contact him since Neil’s death, so he never gets his letter. Pitts wrote Cameron a letter as well, and was unsure if he would send it. However, a few days later, while walking down the street, he sees a courtesy box and basically thinks, "To hell with it," so he mails it. Cameron gets the letter and goes to visit Meeks’ grave. Todd learns Meeks is dead from his obituary in the newspaper. When he shows up to pay his respects, Cameron is already there. The silence is awkward, but worth it.
