13. what's something you learned recently?

i learned that i CAN still go on long browse-y shopping trips as long as i'm using a wheelchair. which was huge tbh.

15. what's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

man.... idk.... like "i don't recommend working there" when talking about my previous place of employment? i guess? i am not really in a position to give advice often. "tell your friends you love them."

18. Are you musical? Play any instruments or sing? Would you ever perform for an audience?

i am musical! i sing, i play a wide variety of instruments to wildly varying degrees of proficiency. i'm probably early intermediate at piano. i used to be an intermediate bassoon player tho i haven't played in over a decade. i am an... advanced beginner? in mandolin & guitar, entirely self-taught. and i've dabbled in a bunch of others (as in like picked up enough to fuck around badly with them). i used to perform in front of audiences frequently, and for singing i would certainly do it again. the rest i'm not super confident in my ability to put on much of a performance lol but i can accompany myself at least

Althea was a child of a fisherwoman and a netmaker. Her mother died in childbirth, so when she came of age, her father moved them to the capital and remarried someone from the central ruling body of the city, called the Bibliosanctum. Althea’s stepmother loved her dearly, but struggled to connect with her new daughter. Althea was a withdrawn child while her stepmother Lyra was gregarious. and while Lyra moved in the highest social circles on their planet, Althea was used to a more rustic lifestyle.

Lyra was jubilant when Althea made friends with Lirian, the son of one of her dearest friends in the sanctum. but instead of giving them common ground, it just made Althea more likely to seek Lirian’s company than her stepmother’s. and then Lirian encouraged Althea’s interest in music. Lyra always thought it an impractical profession, especially for someone like Althea who didn’t have a performer’s temperament. this became a point if contention between them, and it wouldn’t be far from the truth to say Althea partly pursued acceptance into the bardic college to spite her stepmother.

of course none of this matters once the plot kicks off~

oooo interesting so Althea is out to prove something to her stepmother and herself! a worthy goal for a musician, altho i imagine with the plot stuff happening she might be thrown off into the deep end 👀

For AMM: Ultraman Rising, a delightful animated film that really focused on parent-child relationships, teamwork, and vulnerability. While you could read romantic undertones into Sato’s relationship with the reporter, to me at least it reads more like male-female friendship. He goes to her for advice and trusts her because she’s willing to look past the egotistic front he puts up.

I love a good DP x Miraculous crossover. What if the Dupain-Chengs had the same enthusiasm for capturing and fighting akumatized villains that the Fentons have towards ghosts? And they believed that Ladybug and Chat Noir were somehow connected to the akumas and needed to be stopped? Bonus points if Gabriel Agreste gives off Vlad Masters vibes, cause I mean Vlad does have a basement full of clones trying to build a perfect son.

I'm so sorry, I was so sure I replied that day… I may had forgotten after a while and just got busy.

Anyway, while I love MLxDP crossovers, I have a hard time imaging the Dupain-Chengs like that…. On the other hand… GA giving out VM's vibes… sounds hilarious XD XD

It would be like one of those memes of find the difference between two visually different pictures, but basically the same characters. I mean, Vlad and Gabriel can be the same in that context, and that's hilarious. You said it, one does his own basement with clones and the other it's a lair… Gabriel just needs a lab on it… wait, he may have one, just to support the support life of his wife…. just saying.

I may do something with that, comparing Gabriel and Vlad, thanks for the idea. :) :)
