the magnus archives is an office romance and we were denied a sordid affair between jane prentiss and oliver banks

doing a magnus archives relisten and stumbled upon this gem:

in MAG11 Dreamer, Antonio Blake (AKA Oliver Banks) slips in details about the new job he got after his mental breakdown (we've all been there bb)

AND THEN,

in MAG32 when jon finds Jane Prentiss's statement, she has this to say regarding her new coworker at Good Energies spiritual supplies

poor Oliver DEFINITELY saw Jane in his death dreams. imagine how those thick black vines must have manifested considering her condition. did he see tiny tendrils poking in and out of her skin as a precursor to how she'd be riddled with holes? did the tendrils get worse and worse and the hive strengthened its grip on her? no wonder he felt sadness and fear.

did we know this/am i late to realizing this???

Was not expecting The Magnus Archives to be more interesting/enjoyable on a relisten but wow the details I am noticing now that I know what to look for!

In Mag32 (Jane Prentiss' statement), when she's talking about her life pre-hive, she mentions working in a crystal shop. She says that they got a new customer who looked at her with a deep sadness and fear, whose name was Oliver.

At this point nobody knows Oliver Banks as anything other than Antonio Blake, so this would only really be picked up on a relisten and wow I love the details of this show

The structure of this statement is unsettling. Jonathan sounds so distressed, his tone of voice, pauses and laughs make me wonder if he is himself when reading Jane Prentiss' statement. Is he channelling her ? Possesed by her ? I don't think he is himself. The post statement comment's really convinced me his mental state when reading the statement wasn't for theatrical purposes. I'm not sure if I think this always happens to him or just in the case of Jane Prentiss.

— I'm making a note of the names 'Oliver' and 'Arthur Nolan'. They seem important..

— Sasha's and Jonathan's exchange from mag. 26, #0160204 keeps coming back to me,

Sasha: As I was about to exit, though, it [Michael] called after me, and said if I was interested in saving your life it would be waiting at Hanwell Cemetery.

Jonathan: Sorry, saving my life?

Sasha: Yeah. It called you by name. You. And Martin. And Tim.

Jonathan: That's... unsettling.

This moment confused me, why does Sasha not mention Elias? He seems just as involved as the rest. I'm not sure if this is me looking too into it but I don't think I will trust Elias for the time being.. nor Michael.

I went off episode lmao,, This episode was incredible, Jonathan's acting was incredible in this episode I was in awe and cannot wait to listen to the next episode.
