Once upon a time, in a realm where dragons roamed the skies and fairies danced in the moonlight, there lived a humble giant named Grogar. His heart was as vast as his frame, but he felt confined within his stone body. A mysterious fairy gifted him a magical gem that could grant a single wish. As the sun set and twilight descended, Grogar wished to be free of his stony form and soar among the clouds with the dragons. In an instant, he transformed into a majestic bird, taking flight and joining his newfound friends in the endless skies.

Much has been made of the story of Galinthas and the role Hekate takes in accepting Galinthas as a polecat into her entourage. The civet/mongoose-like polecat is certainly an animal that one can argue as being one of Hekate’s creatures as a result of that story. BUT there are no epithets that connect Hekate with that species in the way that the above are.
These use the same sources as the Epithet Project, meaning some of these epithets are from the Hellenic Age and others are firmly Hellenistic.
