Creative People Always Have To Make A Grand Entrance

✘ So, You're feeling super creative and are about to work on an exciting new idea. What 3 things do you NEED to get your juices flowing and why?

A faulty creative compass, a squirt of self loathing, and a glass of juice.

✘ You've landed the opportunity of a lifetime to collaborate with your biggest inspiration (dead or alive). Who is this person and what about them inspires you the most?

Schrödinger's cat.

✘ Think of the last 3 people you've hung out with: What words or phrases would they use to describe you or your art?

"You're an artist?" (A guy who wore a red beanie- 5'-7"-ish- and who's name I don't know)

"I'm not the biggest fan of your new stuff."

3 Q's + A GIF: Challenger -  Eye In the Sky

F$#@ The Eye In The Sky, We Want The Pie In The Sky.

✘ So, You're feeling super creative and are about to work on an exciting new idea. What 3 things do you NEED to get your juices flowing and why?

Be Here Now: There's no shortage of things to draw inspiration from if I'm present and paying attention.

Wait 'til the Midnight Hour: Once everyone is asleep, the house is quiet. For me, fewer distractions means more focus and a tighter critical eye.

Summon the Muses: Typically sacrifices of burning herbs or other forest foliage has been known to draw them forth. Gifts of wine or beer also work, depending on the nature of the operation at hand.

✘ You've landed the opportunity of a lifetime to collaborate with your biggest inspiration (dead or alive). Who is this person and what about them inspires you the most?

Making an animated tarot set with Aleister Crowley would be first on the list, but I also think it'd be fun to hang out with Carl Sagan and make animations about space. They're two people who went deep with what they found compelling; like the Musashi quote, 'If you know the way broadly you will see it in everything'. People who go all-in tend to bring back the gems.

✘ Think of the last 3 people you've hung out with: What words or phrases would they use to describe you or your art?

Melissa (my better half): "I don't know *how* to describe it"

Kolin (my 3-year-old): "it's pretty good"

Fernando Alfonso III (my friend & writer for the Daily Dot): "It's hard to encapsulate the awesomeness that is Jason Reed in just a few words and phrases. But since the acid is kicking in hard, I think I can do it. - GIFs all the things - imaginative - talented - live GIF master"
