We all know that Tolkien was disappointed by the Birnam Wood plot and y’know what, I am too. So how about a production where Malcolm is inexplicably a nature fairy? The trees literally walk to Dunsinane at his command.

Do you think Duncan bothered to discuss things with Malcolm before naming him Prince of Cumberland? I really want to play this scene so it is abundantly clear that it was absolutely not mentioned to him. He spends the whole scene increasingly convinced that Macbeth or Banquo will be named heir apparent and then Duncan, with zero warning, chooses him instead.
