Mammon is going to be a hero. Why wouldn't he be? Immeasurable fame and all the money he could ever want, to buy what ever the hell he wants, it's a pretty sweet deal. His first heroic act? Scoring so abysmally that the teachers are forced to lower 1-As grade boundaries. No, don't thank him. He didn't do it on purpose. (BNHA x Obey Me!)
English
"That way isa the... extraordinary female toiletu?" Mammon drawls confusedly, he's attempting to translate a Japanese sentence into English and failing, eyes squinting at the front board behind his orange-lens glasses.
Present Mic shakes his head, laughing slightly, and corrects the young boy with a smile, "Ah, ah, listener. 'Temporary' not 'extraordinary' unless you're promising some ladies the best bathroom experience of their lives. You're also adding too many vowel sounds: 'is' and 'toilet'- but don't worry, that's a common mistake everyone makes."
"Please direct me to the extraordinary toilets," At the teasing of his desk neighbour, Denki, Mammon flushes pink and huffs, crossing his arms defiantly. "Like you can talk! You literally jus' told sir that ya' wanted to order 'one prebubescent fried chicken'."
"You're both idiots, shut up!" Bakugo snaps back at you two, and Present Mic is forced to get the class back under control.
Maths
Ectoplasm made his way through the class, handing out the students' tests that he had marked since their last lesson. When he reaches the white-haired male, he stops and utters a grave, "Mammon... Please see me after class."
Mammon gulps and nods, daring to peek at the mark 'eighteen per cent' and immediately wincing. Yeah... Lucifer was going to hang him on the chandelier after seeing this result. But to be fair, it wasn't his fault! He had been way too busy with his new, entirely legitimate project to make money. Sure, he was currently in debt because of it, but stocks, bro! He'd get his money back... Eventually. Probably. Hopefully.
"Dude- how did you do worse than me? I only got twenty per cent," Kaminari bemoaned, snatching Mammon's paper before the other has any time to react. What he finds is a bunch of suspiciously fallic-shaped doodles and nonsensical answers, "How did you get the 'Hero Reformation Act of 2296', bro?? This is a maths test."
"Just shuddap'." Mammon groaned, hiding his face. "I was tired."
Literature and Language
"Soft, what light through uh-" Mammon glances back down at the paper, "Yonder window breaks? It is the east, an' Juliet is the sun. Arise, fair sun an' kill the envious moon who is- alrigh' I can't do this if he's gonna look at me like that!"
Todoroki blinked, the blank look on his face unchanging, "What look?"
"That look! All gaumless and- I dunno- Smile or somethin' you're supposed to be a pretty girl."
Todoroki's lips twitched into something more akin to a grimace than a smile, his eyes seemingly conveying insurmountable inner turmoil. Mammon covered his face with his copy of Romeo and Juliet, shoulders shaking with silent laughter. The rest of the students collectively sweat dropped at the expression.
"What the hell is that, dude?" Kirishima's brows furrowed, his smile faltering in concern. "I think he's shitting himself," Sero supplied as his head tilted.
"That's a really strange look, Todo-babe." Ashido tried to say as kindly as she could, wanting to help her classmate from looking so bizarre; Uraraka nodded in worried agreement.
"Can we please continue with the reading?" Cementoss sighed, before acknowledging the student's strange smile himself, "Perhaps you shouldn't make that face."
"Oh." Todoroki let his face fall to its usual impassive look.
"Go away Mammon can't you see I'm busy!" Huffed Levi shoving his older brother out of his room. "But- Levi-!" the elder whined called. "I want to spend my-" he was shushed. "L.E.A.V.E" "fine! I'll hang out with someone else! See that I care!"
...
Lucifer declined "sorry mammon but I am currently very busy today"
...
Satan shook his head "I'm going to have to decline, the author of my favorite book series is signing books today" hummed the wrath demon. He seemed excited. "I can go with ya Sat!" "And get embarrassed by you? No thanks" a snicker. Mammon hates that snicker.
...
Refusal from Asmo, "whys today so important to you anyway? It's just the 10th nothing special"
...
Beel was too busy trying to get belphie to touch grass. Normally Mammon would be the one doing that, but today was just not the time for that. Plus Belphie kept complaining whenever he got near him.
........
Mammon say in a tree contemplating the days events. It was his birthday. His brothers forgot, like always. Normally he didn't care for it and would go bother the purgatory hall residents but this day was different, this day was special! They all promised they wouldn't forget. They promised! They promised! THEY FUCKING WROTE CONTRACTS FOR FUCK SAKE! Yet here he was. His special day forgotten, thrown aside for stupid activities like book signings. "Am I not important enough. Of course I'm not importamy cause, if I was..They would have remembered. They *hic* never remeber" he starts to cry.
Poor mammon's mind flashed to every year, every memory of his brothers forgetting his birthday. Always acting like it never existed.. fuck it hurt. It hurt so much , it caused his heart to break and his throat swells. "Its not fair...Its bit fair it's not fair it's not fair! I always remember their's! Why can't they remember mine?! for once?!" The greed demon sobs.
He cried so much his vision became blurry, he cried so hard his mind went blank, he cried so loud it could be heard even in the far depths of Devildom that few would visit.
........
A gentle hand lands on his shoulder, then moves it's way to his head where it starts to pet, gently ruffling his hair. A voice, very unfamiliar speaks to him. "Forget them. If they can't be bothered to remember your special day, then you might as well not remember theirs anymore." Mammon feels himself receive a tight yet gentle hug. "They do not diserve a brother like you." The avatars cries falter, "who-" "shhh...do not worry about it. How about you tell me how you feel instead yeah? We'll even have a birthday just the too of us. Would you like that?" "....yeah..." "great"
.....
A kiss on the head.
...........
"Why do I feel like we all fucked up" states Levi.
"Because you did"
You know your fucked up when the demon king is sitting in your house seething with utter hatred.

welcome "home"
Mammon knew he had been out for a while, especially knowing Belphegor’s power. The demon opened his eyes slowly, closing them a bit at the sudden bright light that had hit him when opening his eyes. He felt he was on a familiar mattress. Mammon turned his head to the right, opening his eyes once more.
He was back in his old room, from what he could see. It had been 14 years, and his room still looked the same. Mammon pushed himself up off the bed, he felt a cold piece of metal on his arm, he looked to see his wrist had a chain attached to it, which was attached to the concrete wall.
Mammon tried to break it, but found out quickly it was a mana draining chain, so fighting against it was useless even with brute strength. Mammon noticed it was the only restraint, and it was quite loose either way. He looked around his room again, noticing spells on the garage door and windows, and even one of the bedroom door itself.
He was trapped inside his room.
Mammon clicked his tongue then his mind filled with worry, where was Riko? Where was his daughter? Mammon pulled against the chain, making a loud ‘clang’ sound. Shortly he heard the door open, but the seal was still active.
He looked up to see Diavolo of all demons come into the room. Mammon glared at him remembering what his servant said. The demon prince didn’t look mad; he actually smiled towards Mammon.
“Welcome back Mammon!” He said, cheerfully like this was a friendly reunion and he wasn’t just kidnapped back from the human world.
“Where’s my kid?” Mammon sneered at the demon prince.
Diavolo’s smile faltered, but he put it back on quickly. “You mean the human girl? She’s currently downstairs in the guest room. She’s made quite a problem in the human world while trying to bring her here.”.
Mammon frowned, “I want to see her.”.
“That won’t be possible for the moment.” Diavolo said he grabbed a chair from somewhere in Mammon’s room, bringing it to sit in front of the bed. Sitting down formally. “First, I’d like to talk to you.” the demon prince said.
Mammon frowned, he knew something was up. “If we talk, you’ll bring my girl ta me?” he asked.
“Depends on your answers, if she clears then yes. I’ll send Lucifer to get her.” Diavolo said.
Mammon grumbled a bit, but nodded his head. His blue eyes still glaring daggers at the demon prince in front of him.
“I have the basic idea of what happened before you left 14 years ago. You brought the girl-” “daughter.” “-daughter to the Devildom. Lucifer found out and had the girl, you two got into a large dispute and you left.” Diavolo explained, correcting his words, that Mammon corrected him.
“I saved that little girl 14 years ago, and I was going to hand her over to a witch friend of mine to take care of her. Lucifer found her in my room and rough handled her. I got pissed and I attacked him. I left with my daughter afterwards. We were doing fine before ya came after me.” Mammon said.
Diavolo sighed, listening to Mammon’s part of the story. “Alright..” Diavolo looked like he was thinking about something. Mammon watched his every move.
“What have you been doing in the human world then?” Diavolo asked.
“Stuff.” Mammon answered. “Just some odd jobs for a witch.”.
“Who is this witch?” Diavolo asked.
Don’t say anything.
The voice said quickly, but for some reason the words faded, like a blocked signal. Suddenly a sharp pain flooded through Mammon, causing him to grip his skull in his free hand.
Diavolo stood quickly to Mammon’s side. Magic on his fingertips. “So Barbatos was correct.” Diavolo stated.
“‘Bout what?” Mammon sneered, trying to swat the demon prince away from him.
“You’ve possibly been cursed.” Diavolo said, not moving away from the swats. Mammon frowned at his answer, then remembered what he said before.
“Don’t you dare think my kid did this ta me!” Mammon yelled at the demon prince, causing the man’s eyes to widen. “My kid wouldn’t hurt me. Never!”.
Mammon’s demon form began manifesting again, Diavolo quickly put it down. “We just suspected Mammon, calm yourself.” Diavolo ordered. Mammon continued to glare at the man with hatred.
“Let me see my daughter.” Mammon ordered right back. Diavolo sighed, he wished to question him more, but see he hit a nerve. Diavolo nodded before opening the door, saying something to a person outside, seeing the slight figure, he could guess it was Lucifer.
Diavolo didn’t leave the room, Mammon glared and watched him like a hawk the entire time. He could see how much that human meant to Mammon, seeing his reaction. “She’ll be here soon,” he said, sitting back down onto the chair.
Mammon frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. “Guess I’m a prisoner here now?” He asked.
“We don’t wish for it to be that way. But it’ll stay that way for a while. Until we know you won’t attack anyone, or harm yourself.” Diavolo said. “You’re not in any trouble, well you haven’t broken any rules, but you might be in trouble with Lucifer though.”
Diavolo tried to make it sound lighthearted. Mammon almost responded before the door opened and a flash of black flew into Mammon. Mammon quickly put his arms around her, “Dad!” she hid herself in him.
Diavolo seemed a bit surprised at the interaction between the demon and human, seeing that this human truly looked up to Mammon like a father. Lucifer stayed in the room, closing the door behind him.
“So I guess she wasn’t the cause?” Lucifer asked, looking at Diavolo. Diavolo shook his head, “She didn’t do it, but a witch did.” Diavolo answered the elder demon.
Lucifer looked at Mammon, who held Riko close to him, glaring at Lucifer. “Welcome home Mammon.” Lucifer said.
Mammon didn’t respond. The tension in the room was thick. Lucifer sighed heavily. “Diavolo, could I try to talk to him alone?” he asked.
Diavolo nodded and left the second-eldest’s room. Lucifer took the seat Diavolo was sitting in. “What happened-”
“I didn’t say I wanted to talk to you.” Mammon grumbled, his tone irritated and his body showed it also.
Lucifer frowned, this wasn’t the same Mammon he always knew. Not his cute little troublemaker brother he always knew and loved, this was someone completely different.
Could this be from how far Lucifer and his brothers pushed him? Could this be from the curse he was inflicted with? Or could this curse bring out Mammon’s true emotions towards his brothers he hid for so long?
Lucifer did not know the answers to the questions, or even which question was the right one to ask. Lucifer took a deep breath, pride be damned, this was his brother.
“I’m sorry.” Lucifer said, bowing his head towards his brother. “Mammon… I am so sorry.”. Lucifer didn’t look up, he didn’t know what expression that was on his brother’s face, or if his expression had ever changed.
PROMPT: “It sucks because I want to hate you, but I can’t.”
Angst, emotional hurt/comfort, confrontation, angst with a happy ending
Mammon-centric, slight demon brothers bashing (it gets SOMEWHAT better I swear on my life as a writer), it might also be ooc so I hope I got it right.
TW: Implied alcohol abuse and mentioned drug usage
His accent also comes and goes and I'm too lazy to fix that lmfao
Now, Mammon is a strong demon. As the second oldest and second strongest just below Lucifer he is someone powerful and rightfully feared by many demons and humans alike.
He rules over one of the 7 layers of hell and was—still is—Lucifer's right hand man since the beginning of their time.
However, despite the amount of things you hear from demons and humans, the truth behind close doors is something that would completely alter your perception of the 7 princes of hell.
Leviathan himself admits that he could never defeat Mammon in a fight and he's the third oldest.
But because of the fact that Mammon is the second born, powerful and all, he is forced to stay strong. To remain unaffected by the negativity and continue to rule over his part.
Remain unaffected.
Stay strong.
So he does, he lets his brothers feel comfortable enough to hurt his feelings. To tell him he's weak when he's not, to call him scummy, a douchebag, and to kill himself.
His brothers truly love him, no?
He loves all his brothers. He wouldn't swap them for anything, but the real question is would they swap him for anything?
He tries not to think hard about it, he can't show any form of weaknesses. Not even to himself.
Weakness.
He simply will not allow it.
If Lucifer could then why can't he? He's his right hand man, he must always be the great Mammon, otherwise, how would Lucifer feel relaxed and do his own work? Lucifer stands to help them live, Mammon protects his brothers if not from physical harm. That's his duty as the second born.
He was never good at lying so he simply never say anything and quickly changed topic while trying to act as normal as possible, he doesn't want his brothers' pity. Not in the absolute slightest.
But acting like nothing's wrong also meant that he had to take regular emotional beatings from his brothers.
It wouldn't have hurt as much if they weren't brothers, but they were. They knew each other for thousands of years, they've been together through even the darkest times so the amount of hurt it gave Mammon whenever they insulted him was like the fall all over again.
The pain in his heart, the agonizing pain as his head and back grew an extra set of body part was incomparable to hearing them say derogatory words towards him.
He was the one that swallowed his own feelings to take care of his brothers when they first fell.
He took care of Lucifer when his Pride wouldn't let him rest.
He stayed awake with Leviathan when his insomnia gets the best of him.
He helped Satan sneak in some cats and took the blame for it.
He made sure Asmodeus didn't get any disease from his outings every night.
He made sure Beelzebub is always fed but not overfed.
He was the one that brought Belphegor back to his room when Beelzebub wasn't home.
He took care of them when their body couldn't stomach the hellish food, he made sure they ate something to tide the hunger.
He made sure they slept when the nightmares were too awake for their liking.
He made sure they were healthy, happy, and safe when no one else could.
He did the dirty work when no one liked them.
How was that any fair to him? Sure they didn't ask for it but he still did it anyways, he made sure to keep them alive and well to survive.
He would have done so anyways even if it wasn't needed.
He loves his brothers after all.
The alcohol intoxicated his head, it flowed throughout his body and it felt like he was flying.
Mammon rarely ever gets drunk you see and because of that, he's a lightweight but not as much as Belphegor and the others. Compared to Asmodeus and Lucifer he definitely is a lightweight.
He comes home drunk with a bottle of Demonous in hand, he drank 3 whole bottles which is way past his usual limit.
He rarely gets drunk because of his modeling gig.
His headaches get so bad with flashing lights and he's very irritable which won't be good if demons started avoiding him, he needs money too.
What time was it? He didn't have his phone with him.
He practically breaks down the door if only it wasn't already opened to begin with, as if someone was waiting for him to come home.
"Mammon."
He lifts his head up, "....Hah?" He slurs.
Lucifer sighs, "You promised to come home early tonight for family movie night. Why are you drunk? And it's an hour past 'early'."
Mammon frowns. He stumbles when he walks in and pushes past Lucifer then down to the common room.
"Mammon!" He ignored his brother's call.
He gulps the last of the Demonous and throws it across the hall, shattering the glass into millions.
He didn't know what he was doing.
His body burned with alcohol and some sort of drug that helps him get high and completely forget about it all, he didn't want to do it but it just felt so enticing.
He didn't notice how his brothers flinched at the shattering of glass.
His eyes were gold, all previous self control be damned.
"Mammon, are you... Drunk?" Satan frowned, he wasn't a huge fan of drinking. He hated the scent of alcohol and Belphegor could relate too but his twin sometimes drinks and it helps him fall asleep faster.
"'m not drunk!" He slurs, he was louder than usual which was a sign itself.
"Are you high?" Asmodeus would know.
"No!"
"You are." Lucifer sounded angry, but Mammon wasn't really Mammon at the moment.
"I said, 'm not drunk." He walks up to the eldest and glares.
"You're so hostile, you're not usually like this Mammon." Leviathan scans the older demon cautiously, as if he would pounce at any given moment.
"Me? 'm always like this! What do ya mean!?"
"You're usually loud and arrogant, scummy and very stupid but right now you're neither of those things other than loud." Belphegor continued.
"...Haaah? Who're ya callin' arrogant and stupid?" Mammon was quick to stand straight, ready to let out his wings and show who's dominant but Lucifer stands in between as if trying to tell Mammon not to do something he'll definitely regret.
"You're drunk and intoxicated, let's go to bed."
"Shaddup! Ya act so high and mighty when yer really just the same as all of us so quit actin' like yer the boss of me!" Mammon does not move however.
Lucifer stumbles very slightly, "Excuse me? Who are you talking to?"
"Obviously you, who else would I be talkin' to?"
"You're so snappy today..." Beelzebub mumbled to no one in particular, he does his best not to be heard. He is powerful and incredibly buff but even then he still can't beat Mammon in a fight so if a fight were to break loose, his main priority would be Belphegor's safety, seeing as he is the weakest of them all, and getting Mammon to calm down.
Luckily, Mammon was too angry to hear Beelzebub.
"You're bold when you're drunk Mammon." Lucifer was in his demon form.
Mammon should be cowering in fear and yet he is standing tall with his own demon form out, "Woah woah woah! You two calm down!" Asmodeus leaps in between them.
"Satan! Help!" Asmodeus was panicking, he had never seen them fight before.
"Quit it you two! Mammon, do you know why we treat you the way we do? It's because of your shit attitude! You get so snappy at the smallest things and blame us for it." Satan couldn't stand it anymore.
"Oh so yer blamin' me for the shit I didn't even want? Callin' me names and makin' fun of me? Ya haven't seen shit so quit actin' like yer innocent! How is it any fair that I get to be the center of the blame? I never get to indulge in my sin like yall without getting hung upside down for it!"
"Your sin is expensive and it causes me trouble, it's not easy having to clean up the mess you made and try to sweep it under the rug to keep your pristine reputation as a prince of hell!"
"My reputation is my greed. As long as I keep takin' and losin' it all then everyone shouldn't raise a brow if I suddenly get killed for it plus, I can't control it! I am a demon, Lucifer. Ya should understand the best! Yer stupid pride just won't admit the fact that yer wrong, plus, Beelzebub is just as expensive as I am! He destroyed an entire restaurant because they had nothin' more to serve, ya think he's cheap? Ya really gotta redefine your version of 'cheap'."
"How does taking everything you own and losing it all apply to your reputation? Your logic makes little sense." Asmodeus rolls his eyes at his older brother, half aware of what he meant.
"If ya keep drinkin' eventually, you'll get drunk and throw up, right? But it's just too good to stop. It's exactly like that for greed. Every demon in Devildom is aware of how I work, but I will stop at nothing to get exactly what I want. I am aware of my shit actions, okay!? And so are you! But I can't help it!"
"You keep yelling like that's gonna help!" Leviathan yelled back at his older brother.
Mammon grits his teeth bitterly, "None of ya understand do ya? Do I gotta spell it out for ya so you'd understand? Do you have any idea how many nights I stay up thinkin' about my own mind and how I hate it here!? Have ya ever wondered why Lucifer hasn't hung any of ya for the shit you guys pull!? Ya think Lucifer would have let you off for stainin' his favorite coat, Satan? Or when Belphie spilled coffee all over his documents that he needed for next week? I fell instead of ya! It ain't fun but I knew how harsh he is, only I can handle him without breakin' but all of ya combined? There's only so much a demon like me can take..."
Mammon holds back tears because that's what he always does, that's all he does anyways. He can't do anything else about it other than to hold back any feelings that could be used against him.
The silence was loud, no one knew what to say.
Lucifer notices the tears.
"Mammon-"
"-Just... Shut up. Please."
They were silent again, eyes strayed away from each other. Suddenly the shattered bottle, the walls, and the floor was interesting.
They start to notice the little things.
How there's a new vase that looked similar to the one Belphegor shattered except it had gold lines as if it was being kept together.
Beelzebub hated this, Belphegor knew.
"...Mammon, listen. We're sorry, okay? We didn't mean to make it seem that way but if you had told us sooner-" Belphegor tried to reason but Mammon was far too intoxicated to bother.
He turns away.
"You were always good at manipulating others Belphie. That's the youngest for ya..." He mumbles before leaving.
Lucifer steps in front of him.
"Can you get out of the way? I'm tryna get back to my-"
"You are not leaving until this is resolved. What do you think of us? Do you think we don't love you?" Mammon stares at him with dead eyes.
"Ya love me? Doesn't feel that way."
They stared in silence, Lucifer felt awkward. "Believe me... Believe us, Mammon. We'll try our best to be better just please be honest with us, tell us how you feel?"
Mammon didn't respond, he honesty didn't want to.
"Y'know, it sucks because I want to hate you, but I can't. It's almost impossible to feel a tinge of hatred for ya when we've been together through the darkest shadows. But because I can't hate ya, I can't love ya either, right? So I feel nothing. Not anymore. I care for ya but that's definitely just because I have built a system in my mind to care for anyone I consider by family, I care, but not enough ta stay."
He pushes past Lucifer, stumbling through the halls. Though his words were slurred, it was clear as daylight. They knew and understood but they couldn't bring themselves to speak.
Lucifer straightens himself, "We'll fix this as soon as possible, but for now I think he needs time to himself."
The eldest's voice was low; like a whisper, almost.
“How about you just kill yourself, Mammon? Hmm..? It’s not like anyone would miss you..~”(ASMO) Mammon already knew this.
“I wished that you died instead of Lilith.”(BELPHIE) He was also fully aware of this too.
“Your useless and holding the rest of us back!”(LEVI) Telling him what he already knows, okay okay...
“We all hate you so stop trying to get us to like you. It’s pathetic, really...”(SATAN) Oh.. Ok, he was somewhat aware.
“You do nothing for this family, Mammon. You're not a good big brother...”(BEEL) Excuse him, Mammon has sacrificed so much for this family. But he cannot be too mad because it probably came off that way for them, right? Right?
“Haha... Are you just going to take the insults? You really are pathetic.. Ahaha...”(LUCI) He has been taking the insults since forever... Maybe it was too long...
“We would be better off with out you.”(ALL) Better off without him... Yeah... Wait... He would be better off without you...
“Just leave already!!”(ALL) Oh...
SHATTER
The white haired demon sounded out the insults his brothers were throwing. The colour from his eyes faded quickly. The wall of lies he told himself, crumbled down, bringing the love and compassion for his brothers, down too. All that was left was hatred and sadness.
After all these years who would of thought that just a little, ‘Just leave’ would break him. But then again his cup was already full to the brim and couldn’t take much more until the pressure from the water broke the glass.
His brothers didn’t care for him, even after he did so much for them. Mammon went through years and years of being an emotional baggage and punching bag for them. He would always reassure them that they are loved. He worried for them over himself. He tried so hard for them to love him back.
But maybe that isn’t what he wanted nor needed.
Because for the time being he wanted their dead corpse on the ground. Their blood splattered on the walls. The house burned to the ground. The look of fear in their eyes.
He wanted to give them a reason for hating him. And what’s a better way than to try and kill them. That’s a scummy thing to do, right? Kill the one’s you love and adore so much?
He looked back up towards his brothers to see them all looking at him. He then noticed that he was giggling like a madman. He gave them a long thin lined smile and empty cold eyes. He took a few wobbly steps towards them. The orange head went over to Mammon and put his arm around his brother to keep him stable.
Beel then started apologizing, saying he didn’t mean all the stuff he said. Mammon turned his head towards the seventh born and a flame lit in his angel eyes. Mammon started giggling more. ‘Oh god... hehe... This isn’t going to be a very hu-man thing to do... hehe..’
Beel gave him a confused look but before he can ask, Mammon put his shaky hand on the red head cheek. He let out a little gasp as his older brother’s fingers dug into his face and pulled. Beel and Mammon were now face to face. The greedy demon’s angel eyes shone with hatred as he cooed,
“It’s all right, Beel~ It’s all right~”
Beel smiled awkwardly and tried to pull away when Mammon brought his knee up and slammed the seventh born head on it. Beel pulled back and held his forehead, which was now bleeding.
“Mammon-” Lucifer warned as he made his way towards them.
“Mammon!” Belphie growled and ran over towards Beel.
The angel eyed demon turned away from the bleeding red head and charged at Belphie. He grabbed his wrist and threw Belphie. Belphie hit the wall hard and coughed out blood. Lucifer turned into his demon form and lunged to grab Mammon while the others stood still in shock. Mammon with the side of his eye saw a hand coming towards him. He dodged with little to no effort and kicked the demon of pride.
Mammon giggled, “I’m done! I’m done pretending! Your right! I’m pathetic! A scumbag! I’m really, really USELESS!” He jumped back as Lucifer helped Belphie up. Lucifer then turned around and glared at Mammon and sternly asked,
“Mammon. What. Is. The. Meaning. For. Your. Action? Do you think you. Can. Just. Kick. Me?”
Mammon eyes shimmered and he held his hands close to his mouth as he chuckled, “Enough with the questions! I’ll be the one asking now! Do you all hate me now?!”
Asmo was hiding behind Levi, asked as he peeped his head out, “Are you ok?”
The greedy demon blinked in confusion and then laughed, “What does it look like? I’m not ok! And do you know whose fault that is?” He gestured with his finger at Asmo then to everyone else, “It’s yall’s fault! Hehehee... And now I want to give ya a good reason to hate me! And not for some thing I can’t control!”
Beel shook his head, “Mammon... We didn’t mean it..”
Mammon sighed, “A little to late for that Beel...” He pretended to wiped a tear off his cheek.
Mammon jumped forwards and boom! A fight broke out! All the brothers were in their demon form. They were surprise of how strong Mammon was. And to be honest the demon wasn’t the strongest but right now his hatred for them made him stronger. Funny right? Usually it’s love that out powers all. But now it was the dreadful hate towards them.
Mammon laughed like a madman when ever he made the brothers bleed. And obviously they made him bleed back too.
“WHY?” One of the brothers yelled out as Mammon’s eyes were looking for blood.
Mammon touched his cheek as he was thrown to a wall by Lucifer. He got up quickly and noticed (besides the blood) that he was crying.
He cried out, “I was never good enough for ya’s! I just wanted to be the brother ya could trust, you could depend on! I did so much for you all!” He flung himself at the blue haired gamer, “But it was never enough!”
“Mammo-” Levi was cut off as Mammon yelled,
“I WAS NEVER ENOUGH! I AM THE SCUMBAG! I AM THE BAD BROTHER YOU TALKED ABOUT ALL THE TIME! I AM MAMMON THE FUCKIN’ IDIOT WHO SHOULD DIE! I AM THE UNLOVEABLE LITLLE SHIT HEAD! And-”
Mammon was kicked off of Levi and looked up to see Satan helping him up. Mammon glanced around and noticed that he was cornered. He felt his strength leave his body and he felt kinda light headed from the blood loss.
Everything seemed to freeze. Mammon looked and saw that his little brother Asmodeus had a spot open. If he were to charge towards him... He could slit his throat. Mammon’s hand itched as he wanted to make the life of one of his abusers leave their eyes. He felt nothing but hatred towards them anyways, right? Then an idea hit him. If he kills Asmo, His brothers will attack him again. He wanted his brothers to kill him. He wanted them to finish the job they already started. He was already dead mentally, how about just kill him entirely.
He charged and in just a second, Asmo’s lifeless corpse hit the ground. Not too long after he felt something hit him and he fell to the ground.
Mammon felt the life drain from his body and could barely hear anyone. He then looked at Asmo and with his last breath he muttered,
“Oh... I’m sorry..”
No one heard him over the chaos.
He closed his eyes and his body felt light.
He felt refreshed. He felt calm. He felt ok. The it hit him. He looked down to see his brothers grieving over the loss of the 2nd and the 5th born. Mammon felt a stab of guilt but a hand touched his shoulder. He glanced up to see his little sister smiling pitifully at him. He felt a hand on his other shoulder and he gasped as he saw the pink haired demon.
Mammon remembered how he killed him. He also remembered how much he loved the demon of lust. He remembers how much he loves them all.
Asmo bent down to Mammon’s level and cooed,
“It’s ok Mammon. I forgive you. You weren’t in the right mind and that was partially my fault too.”
Mammon let out a cry and grabbed onto his little brother.
Yes Asmo was right. Mammon’s mental health was shit but he killed him. Asmo should not be forgiving him.
Asmo looked pitifully down at his other brothers and sighed, “I just wish I could tell them that where we’ll be going is a place for only joy.”
Lilith smiled warmly and gestured for them to follow her.
Mammon got up wobbly and followed, as Asmo let Mammon lean onto him for support. They walked through a tunnel and the deeper they went, Mammon felt calmer and stronger. He was able to walk by himself halfway through.
Asmo giggled and chased after Lilith who started running. Mammon smiled and something hit him.
He stopped and watched as the two stopped running looking back at him. Mammon shook his head and held his arms.
“Mammon...” Asmo and Lilith started slowly.
Mammon smiled and turned away, “I’ll catch up with ya two! I just want to check somethin’ out.”
They looked at each other and Lilith nodded. They started down the tunnel again without their brother.
Mammon felt a tear go down his cheek. He sighed. He started the way he came from. But as he went back he felt as if he were going down and he was. He kept going knowing he will never see his brothers or Lilith ever again.
The ground beneath him opened up and he fell. He fell to never see the light of day again. Because he was not going where those two were. He was going to hell. A place for bad dead souls, weather they are human, demon, or angel, if they are like Mammon they will go there. To burn for all of eternity.

If you haven’t noticed, It is not proof read.
The end is kinda dumb and rushed but hey what am I gonna do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ship: Solomon/Asmo (They pop in, but Mammon is the focus)
Word Count: 2552
Warnings: ANGST
Summary: The memories of a loved one never truly leave, and Mammon is always revisited by the sun in the early hours of the morning.
A/N: I had to get this out. I missed our (mine and @leviathanswingman ) next gen! au and I wanted to give Mammon a little bit of the spotlight. Yes, Treasure's other parent is dead. Sorry about that. So you have single dad Mammon!
Mammon bolted upright in a cold sweat. He couldn't catch his breath. He was drowning in the air around him. It was the same dream, the same terror, the same damned memory he was doomed to repeat.
Over
And over
And over again.
Wiping wet eyes, he stared at the clock ticking away on the wall.
2 AM
It was almost laughable how consistent it was. The same hour, the same dream. Every. Damn. Time. He stretched out, turning his focus to the ceiling and listened. Then his ears twitched. Well, he wouldn't need to struggle to find distractions tonight. Rising from the bed he left his room and went into the kitchen just in time to hear a rather loud crash.
"Lily!"
"Sorry! I can't reach it!"
His niece and his own kiddo, still awake when they should be tucked away. Couldn’t say he was surprised. After all, look at who they were related to. He had his niece for the weekend, so her dads could have a lil 'date' time. And from the looks of both of them, they needed it. It was nice to spend alone time with your partner when you could grab it, Mammon knew this.
So, the lil trouble makers were his for the weekend.
"And just what are you troublemakers up to?" he leaned against the wall, looking down at the two youngsters.
"Lily was hungry! We just wanted to get a snack."
"Treasure was hungry too!"
Mammon sighed, "Come on now, ain't it a lil late for you guys to be up? You wanna be big strong demons right?"
"But Unkie Dia says we need to eat good food to be big and strong," Lilith's lil brow furrowed in confusion at the perceived contradiction.
“Yeah, and you need sleep so all the lil tiny men can use that food to build ya bigger and stronger.”
Now it was Treasure’s turn to contradict him, “Nuh uh!”
“Ya huh.”
“Who says?”
“I says.”
“Why?”
“Cus’ I’m a grown up and that’s how the world works kiddo.”
Ruffling Treasure’s hair Mammon reached down to pick up some of the discarded items off the floor. He was a little bit of a hypocrite, sending the two tykes off to bed while he would be staying up for hours to come. That's usually how his schedule went. Sometimes he'd check up on Treasure before he started. Fighting between forgetting about the terrors and wanting to live in the past just a second longer.
"Can't we stay up longer Unkie Mam Mam? Please?"
"Please? We'll go to bed right after!"
Both of them had a hold of one of his legs, no chance of freedom in sight. Both of them were giving him the biggest puppy eyes they could muster.
Mammon had a choice on his hands.
He could be a responsible adult and do the responsible thing and send the lil ones off to bed. That's what he should do in all honesty…
Or, he could have company for once, instead of sitting in the dark on his own.
Fuck it.
"Aight, you win," Mammon sighed, "But Lilith, you can't tell your Papa about this. I don't need him givin me lip about letting you stay up. And Treasure don't think this means you can stay up late all the time."
“I’ll stay up as late as I want!”
Mammon snorted. Sure they would. A ‘responsible’ dad would probably say something about that, but Mammon knew his kid. Treasure was a good kid, and under normal circumstances they were out like a light by 8, even if they tried to fight it. That would change when they were older, but for now he didn’t have to worry about them being out past midnight. Right now he didn’t have to worry about them being like him. Right now they were just little Treasure.
But he could think about that all at a later point in time. Right now he had two hungry kiddos who also needed to go to bed.
Picking up a bag of chips off the ground that the duo had dropped, Mammon fished a bowl out of one of the cabinets and grabbed another bag of fish crackers before taking a seat on the couch. Little hands could barely wait for him to pour their treats into the bright red plastic bowl on the coffee table.
“Can we watch the pony movie again?” Lilith asked, putting a handful of treats in her mouth, “The one where they go see the fishy ponies!”
“Isn’t that the only movie you two have watched this weekend?”
“It’s Lily’s favorite right now.”
Mammon chuckled. Of course it was her favorite. According to Asmo, Lilith had developed a little bit of a fixation on fish and the ocean. So, a movie with pretty ponies and pony mermaids in the ocean with pretty fish? Yeah, that seemed like it would be something that was right up his niece’s alley.
“I just gotta get Mr. Fishy, so don’t start it yet okay?”
“Aight Lilith, I won’t start it yet,” Mammon promised as the little girl ran down the hall, “But hurry back before I get too tired to push the buttons!”
“Daddy can you hold the snacks?” Treasure asked, crawling up on the couch to push themselves right next to Mammon.
“Well, aren’t you both putting me to work this evening?”
“It’s because you’re my Daddy.”
Before Mammon could respond Lilith ran back up into the room and crawled right up next to Mammon on the couch, Mr. Fishy in tow. “Okay! I’m ready now!”
As soon as the movie started, both kids quieted down, completely mesmerized by the images on the screen. The only noise aside from the television was the occasional munching of snacks before them. The silence allowed Mammon to slip back into the thoughts he’s been having beforehand, the ones that came to kiss him awake ever since that terrible day.
He’d fallen hard. That was undeniable.
The other undeniable fact was that they had been perfect together, and Treasure was the proof of that. Treasure had been the proof of their love ever since they made their presence known, and Mammon made sure he gave that love back to them ever since.
But now he was having doubts.
Was he still able to give Treasure back all of that love with what he was going through now?
He’d never fallen as hard as he had.
His partner and him had been twin flames, and they burned gloriously and uncontrolled. Maybe that had been his undoing in the end.
He was like Icarus, kissed by the sun in all of her golden glory. And her burn lingered within him even as he crashed into the ocean below, still suffocating with every breath he took. Mammon was smoldering and aching, but he was trying to claw his way back out of the depth to kindle the tiny embers he had into their own little flame. It was his job to protect them, he wanted to protect them, but some days the ache tore him apart. It ripped from his ribcage, exposing him at his core.
Through it all he had to wonder, was it all enough?
Treasure had lost someone just as important to them.
Was Mammon acting too selfish with his pain?
Was he doing enough for them?
Would it be enough to make the golden sun proud?
Was he doing good by that last promise?
Time had stopped existing for him. The world had frozen for him and continued on for everyone else. It was like someone else had a remote and continued to press stop and start throughout his life ever since that day. He hadn’t realized that he’d zoned out of the movie, he never realized when he zoned out.
“Daddy?” Treasure’s little yawn finally snapped him away from his thoughts, “Why are you crying?”
Shit.
“Ah, I guess the movie just kinda got to me this time around kiddo.”
It was a little white lie, but now wasn’t the time to discuss all of the things running through Mammon’s head.
Lilith had drifted off next to him, Mr. Fishy gripped tightly in her little arms and a goldfish in her tiny fist. Mammon turned off the TV, and stood picking up Lilith as he did so. “Let’s get you and your cousin to bed, kay?”
Treasure held on to his hand tight all the way down the hall, up until the moment he tucked them both in, kissing both of their foreheads. Just as he was about to leave, Treasure grabbed onto his face. Their little thumbs wiped under his eyes.
“Don’t cry Daddy, it was just a movie okay?”
Mammon could have laughed. They were a sweet kid, and he knew where they got that from.
“Alright kiddo, I won’t cry.”
He tried to pull away, but Treasure wouldn’t let go.
“Can you stay? Please?”
Mammon couldn’t say no to that face. So, that was how he ended up on the floor with a pillow and blanket, arm cramping as Treasure held onto his hand. But there were four tiny words that made it all worth it.
“I love you Daddy.”
In that moment, Mammon knew he must’ve been doing something right.
“Love you too Treasure.”
***
“Daddy! Papa!”
Lilith flew into Solomon’s waiting arms. Her fluffy wings fluttered wildly and little squeals left her lips as the human spun her and Mr. Fishy around.
Mammon had to admit, despite Lucifer’s hesitations and protests, Asmo picked a winner.
Asmo offered a little wave from his perch against the doorway. He looked the most relaxed Mammon had ever seen him wearing a washed out pair of mom jeans and one of Solomon’s sweaters. He pecked Lilith’s cheek once Solomon brought her close and tucked a piece of stray hair behind her ear.
“Can Lily come over again next weekend?” Treasure asked without a single bit of hesitation.
“We’ll see,” Solomon stepped in, “Or perhaps you could come over here. Oh! I almost forgot, I was able to make a new enchantment, how would you like to take a look at it while your Daddy and Uncle Asmo talk for a bit?”
Solomon gave Asmo a look that he couldn’t quite read, and it was gone all too fast.
“Can I touch it?”
“Maybe not-”
Those were the last words Mammon could make out as the trio wandered further into the house towards Solomon’s study.
He met Asmo’s gaze and his brother gestured him inside, “Tea? I made an extra cup.”
“How could I resist a free beverage from my little brother?”
“I mean, I could dump it down the sink instead,” Asmo chirped, making his way to the kitchen table, “Ya know, for funsies!”
But Asmo never dumped the drink down the sink, instead he pushed a cup closer to where Mammon sat and even included a cookie. If anything, Asmo was certainly in a good mood. Of course Asmo was in a good mood. He had a completely uninterrupted weekend with his boyfriend, the father of his child. Solomon and Asmo were close, and Asmo always looked like he was floating after a weekend with Solomon.
Asmo was no Icarus like him.
Asmo was goddam Aphrodite.
And Solomon worshiped him with every breath he had.
“So, Solomon serious about Treasure spending a weekend with you guys?”
Aphrodite let her slender lashes brush her cheeks as the cup met her lips, “Well, Solomon and I were talking-”
“You two had time to talk?”
Those golden eyes snapped open with fire, “I will dump your tea down the sink.”
Icarus threw his head back and cackled. Always one to play with danger. “Kidding! I’m kidding. So you and your magic lover were talking?”
With a sigh Asmo set his cup down and recollected himself. “Anyways, yes, Solomon and I were talking and we thought- well I thought- it might be nice for us to keep Treasure for a weekend. You know, so you could get out.”
Mammon froze. He knew where this was going.
“Asmo-”
“There are a few single parents at some of the groups I’ve been going to. They ask if I have any single brothers.”
“Asmo-”
“And when is the last time you’ve been on a date? I mean I know I usually say, but you can be a catch Mammon! Plus it’s super not like you to be cooped up and all alone like that.”
Mammon couldn’t bring himself to say a thing. Instead he just sat there, gripping his cup tightly and staring at his muddled reflection in the tea. An emotion that he couldn’t quite name bubbled up inside of him, but it was molten and bitter.
“People are into the whole single dilf thing! You could make it work-”
“Being a single ‘dilf’ comes with having a kid Asmo.”
Asmo froze.
“Well of course-”
“A kid I gotta think about.”
Despite all the spats he’d had with him in the past, Mammon had never been as sharp with Asmo as he was in this moment. The worst part was, he knew it was coming from a place of good intention, but shouldn’t that timing be for him to decide?
Asmo looked away, “Well of course, I never meant to imply-”
“And I gotta think about how Treasure would feel about it too. I can’t just up and move on, I don’t know how Treasure would feel and I just-!”
Mammon took in a breath. He was back in the ocean again, molten wax clinging to his back. He couldn’t breathe.
Things were silent for a long while.
“I just-” Asmo’s voice was so soft, “I’m worried about you Mammon.”
Their eyes met.
“You don’t talk about it.”
Mammon considered ripping his gaze away again.
“At least, take the idea into consideration, yeah?” Asmo pushed again, “Even if you wanna hang out with lil ol’ me, we can leave Solomon with the kids and we can go to the clubs! Like good old times!”
Mammon raised a brow. “You’d leave Solomon alone with the kids?”
“I’ll order them pizza. He’s wonderful as long as he isn’t in charge of cooking or making his daughter eat broccoli instead of chicken nuggets.”
That drew a bark of a laugh out of Mammon. He could just picture Solomon struggling with that little girl. He already had a hard time saying no to Asmo, and Lilith had inherited both his puppy dog eyes and stubborn nature.
“Alright then, maybe I can take you up on that.”
“Daddy!” Mammon turned his head in the direction of Treasure’s voice, “Daddy come look! You gotta see what Uncle Sully did!”
Mammon downed the rest of his tea and stood up from the table, “Alright kiddo I’m commin.”
Right before he could leave, Asmo’s hand on his shoulder stopped him.
“Mammon?”
He stopped.
“You’re doing great.”
Mammon’s throat went tight. He was frozen once again. He let his eyes close and took in a breath.
“Thanks Asmo, that- that means a lot.”
Maybe he wasn’t doing such a terrible job after all. Maybe, just maybe he could make her proud.
And for the briefest of moments Icarus swore he could feel the gentle embrace of the sun against his skin.
