Should I, or should I NOT buy 5 mustache ties?
Did you know you can get Captain Marvel tickets already?
Because I just got our tickets for 3/9.
I'm such an easy Marvel mark. But I like fun movies.
Dr. Baffled lays down the best management advice I've heard in a long time. And it's not even 9am. Go home everyone. We are done here.
Managed!
Tonight's drinks... They speak to me.
MANAGED!... literally
I had my first meeting with my new team.
It’s Real Now
I start I start my new job Mid-May, due to a few agreements between my old boss, my new boss, and HR. I've got a long transition time, but that's okay. The ink is dry. The deal is done.
I met with my new team yesterday. They're good people, and our meet-and-greet session was really pleasant. I'm really optimistic about the personality fit.
My current/former boss sent out a very nice announcement of my departure from our team, and my new role. In the last 12 hours, I've received dozens of very kind, touching responses. This is a bittersweet move, but I am excited for this new challenge.
Also, and I shouldn't put as huge an emphasis on this as I do, but I'll have a damn office. *AN OFFICE* Holy crap. I've worked here for years... I've had cubicles the whole time. Most people I work with have cubicles. Even managers. But I'll have an office. I'm freaking pumped. I'll need to get some fun art to put up on the walls. Any recommendations?
It's been a busy as hell couple of days. And it will be a busy next few weeks. I have 2-hour daily meetings to go through all of my current work scope and hand it off to the team I'm leaving.
But it'll be worth it. I hope.
Good luck everyone else.
