Oh yeah I went to fan expo in New Orleans with a friend for my birthday in January! I didnt get many pics because we were struggling to not die from over heating lol

She was born on Pantora, but she didn't quite vibe with the ruling monarchy there or the institution of Monarchy in general. A little bit of "extremist" political activity later and she's an exile no longer welcome on her home planet. She roamed the galaxy for many years before eventually ingratiating herself with a small nomadic clan of Mandalorians who eventually accepted her into their fold.

I needed a weapon for my Maul Mando cosplay. I considered painting a nerf gun or making one. Instead I decided to make the darksaber as Maul was in possession of it at one point. The blade has a metal and wood structure covered in stiff felt. I machine sewing the lines onto the blade then painted them over with acrylic. For the illusion of a glow I used lace. Everyone jokes about it being a frilly sword. I think the illusion works. The hilt is also made of felt. The main handle part is circular but where it connects to the blade is boxy. I hand sewed the decoration. I used poly fill to stuff it. Right now the blade and the hilt are attached. I do plan on them being 2 separate pieces in the future that can be put together. I also want to neaten my stitches. I’m considering adding beads to the blade to make it shiny and adding more lace to strengthen the illusion.

I am overall very happy with how this came out. I have a lot more to do for my maul mando cosplay and I am happy that this part of it is done🗡️⚔️

Hey again everyone!! ^^ So I’m going to be reviving this old blog! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve truly been active but I’m wanting to get back into it.

Here’s some of my recent artwork, but I’ll be making individual posts for all of these pieces over the coming days.

Currently I’m a HUGE Star Wars nerd, and am relatively new to the fandom(since around January this year) but I got swept up in it very quickly. As well, expect lots of Obi-Wan Kenobi art because he is my absolute favourite character!

So does Sabine wear considerably less armor than any other Mando weve seen out of choice? Or was it because she was like 14 when she was disowned and therefore was smaller/shorter than she is now?

Here she is next to animated Bo-Katan. Bo-Katan's armor is wider and taller with less "empty" space. She has bigger collar plates, wider (but shorter) shoulder plates, three chest pieces that are both individually larger and wider than Sabine's two, she has three plates on the front of her pelvis and two on her hips/thighs, even her gauntlets and clothing look thicker than Sabine's. This is why i think Sabine might've out grown her armor (and she hasnt been home to fix it/her epilogue armor had another chest plate added) because it just looks so much smaller on her despite the only major differences in their individual frames being height

Live action Bo-Katan is even more covered (and with visible cloth/padding layers)

Heres the only full body image i could find with the gif search. But you can see a good chunk of her outfit is actually just belts. She does have shin armor on top of her boots, but thats about it for her legs while her stomach and upper chest are pretty exposed

And here Sabine is with her own clan (family members). I know Sabine is a artist and very much a individual, but with how covered every one else is i feel like her armor was either made for tactical choices or she simply out grew it. With how attached she is to it ("this armor has been in my family for 500 years... the blood, the battles, its all there") i highly doubt she wouldve sold any pieces
