day 22/31 of my massive holiday project

for @manesguerin, my rnm wife and partner in mess(e)y crime. Umm, the rest of your gift will be delivered via discord... no one else should be subjected to this nonsense. So here is a drabble instead.

He felt nothing as he stared down at the mess of a man in front of him. He was naked and bloody, skin stained by a number of things that Michael tried not to think about. There were plenty of ways for his enemy to die, and he had thought of plenty of them, all violent and brutal. It was another to see the display in front of him, a careful and vicious display. Jesse Manes laid out on the bed as he had done many times before and never again. 

“Merry Christmas to me,” he said to no one.

How I feel about this character: The best. I love Liz’s boldness. I love how unapologetic she is. I love her science brain and how she approaches information. She’s also a total badass and cinnamon roll at the same time. She’s another character I’ll go to the mat for.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Max, Maria, Kyle.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Also Maria. And Michael of course #sciencebros

My unpopular opinion about this character: I’m not that invested in her love life. Malex is my big ship, so I’m kinda down with whoever Liz ends up with. I mean it’s obvious that will be with Max, but I would be cool with anyone so long as she’s happy.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: More Liz and Alex interaction! I feel like their friendship was dropped a little compared to Liz/Maria, Liz/Kyle, Alex/Kyle, and Alex/Maria. I hope we get more Liz/Alex going forward! I also wish she had been a little less...encouraging to Maria about Michael. I mean I know all she said was Maria can’t help who she fell for and she did tell Maria to talk to Alex, and all that was good. I just felt the scene came across like she was more sympathetic to Maria than Alex in the situation even while knowing that Alex is in love with Michael and that he’s “museum guy”. They’re both her best friends and her advice was sound. I just wish it felt like she cared about Alex the way she seems to about Maria. If that makes sense.
