Listened to ‘Rush’ for the first time this morning and it was exactly what I needed as I did a whole bunch of cleaning, once I’d had my everything shower I walked my dog, made lunch and aired some washing once back, post lunch I finished up ‘Night Hawks’ which was pretty good, then headed upstairs to do my notebooks, and then run myself a bath. Read some more and watched an episode of Supernatural with my dad this evening, and now I’m curled up in my clean bedding, in my favourite pyjamas, and looking forward to doing some more reading.

Another year, another round of tarot cards and måneskin art !!! Thank u so much to everyone thats supported me so far it means a lot :') 2022 has been a cool year for my art, Damiano reposted one (!!!), I made more tarot cards, created an online gallery with lots of people's contributions of their drawings of Damiano looking slutty. Hopefully there'll be even more next year with RUSH and a whole new tour 😭

This drawing is very important for me, I wanted to point out that Damiano is not only looking good outside but he has also heart and incredibly awesome voice.

I finally had some time to listen to RUSH!

In general I like it. However.... my thoughts:

- I'm here for upbeat rock songs I can dance to!

- is it just me or the vocal production on some of the English songs sounds off? I really do not like effects on Damiano's voice. Seriously, wtf? The guy sounds amazing live. No doubt about it and someone thought it'll be a great idea to hide his vocals under fuckload of sound effects. Really? Whoever produced it should consider career change. When Supermodel was released I went on a rant about vocal production on it and here we are again....

- I like the fact that we can clearly hear Vic's bass. It's usually the guitar that shines. In fact musically I really, really like it. Someone can write songs these days and we CAN hear real instruments. (with the exception on supermodel imo).

- I'm honestly suprised they didn't manage to squeeze verse about cocaine into the loneliest... I feel like Damiano is still a little bitter about esc incident and while writing new songs he thought "You want dr*gs? I SHALL GIVE YOU THE DR*GS!"

- in the battle of the two upbeat radio singles between Supermodel and Gossip there can only be one winner - Gossip. I had it on repeat since it came out.

- "own my mind" is a great opener. "Supermodel", if it needs to be on this record, belongs in the first half. "The loneliest" would be way better closer.

- italian songs squished together between English ones - weird. Just weird. And I like these songs. But did I already said it feels weird? Because it does.

- "kool kids" will be a definitive skip for me. I get the musical reference. I get where the inspiration came from but the vocal production repuls me. If I hear live version in decent quality I might revisit my thoughts, but if it wasn't on the album I wouldn't care two shitts.

- least favourite: Kool Kids

- meh: Bla Bla Bla, Supermodel

- favourites: Own My Mind, Gossip, Baby Said, Gasoline, Don't Wanna Sleep, Read Your Diary, La Fine, The Loneliest.

also i notice how they have this trend of putting absolutely SLAPPIN riffs at the end of their songs? in songs like In Nome Del Padre, Mark Chapman and Kool Kids the endings go harder than just about anything fr. like the rest of the song is obviously good but the ENDING tho

and of course mammamia has always been a top måneskin song for me so im more than happy to see it again lol
